My calendar told me that it's been a year since I finished my first play of Digimon Survive so because I'm a nostalgic busy idiot, let me compile all the stuff I've drawn of Miyuki the Minase siblings (because it's the only thing I've done for Survive to far ;w;)

Ever think about how Renamon grew far apart from Miyuki and Garurumon grew apart from Akiharu over the course of the 50 years? The way that Renamon's and Garurumon's hearts turned so dark in the time apart from their partners? Miyuki's protectiveness twisted and became Renamon's possessiveness. Akiharu's curiosity twisted and became Garurumon's spite. Ever think about how the Kemonogami is a reflection of the human partner's heart? How this pain was felt inside the hearts of the Minase siblings, and their partners merely gave this pain physical form?

I'm thinking about that a lot right now.

Day 2: Cooperation

Dracmon looks up at him from the floor, big eyes full of sorrow. "You can't just be angry anymore Kaito. Look where your anger leads you." The defeat stings worse than the bruises on his knuckles. Losing over and over and over even when he wins the fight. "I don't know what else I can be." 

or - things have gone horribly wrong and in typical Shinonome sibling fashion, Kaito and Miu are beating themselves up over it

anyway, ough the backstory behind haru and miyuki... the fact that inevitably haru loses her again, even if she comes back. the fact that the one thing keeping miyuki, who has lost half of her soul, at peace, is having something resembling her brother with her...

i do really like angsty sibling stories.

Does anyone else think about how Miyuki staying so young from being trapped in the other world means she might outlive her little brother, who is now an elderly man?? And (aside from the other kids and Renamon) she really will be on her own when he finally dies of old age???

Me: One of the little details I love about Saki’s design is the lip gloss. The other girls don't have that sheen and tint on their lips because the make up is an attempt to look more mature so people can take her seriously and not treat her like a child. Saki looks older than she is because she wants to look older than she is.

My brain: What about the professor?

Akiharu Prologue

It's just one idea of many I'm exploring... The department chair overseeing my research found a folder of misplaced personal notes related to the local religion. Mistaking them for official documents, he paged through my unfiltered screeds. Kanobe locals worship the Kemonogami for a reason! Abnormal weather patterns, magnetic distortions, the disappearances... It seems unexplainable, but there must be some cause behind it all... My department chair shook his head. ”Treating spirits as a genuine hypothesis? You’re being irrational, Minase.” A part of me wondered if I really was losing my wits... You're right. I'm sorry. I won't let this affect my university research... Even as I said it, there was a voice in the back of my mind... "You have a moral obligation to keep digging." Maybe it was irrational, but I decided to follow my instincts. If only I had known just how right I was. Gabumon... Miyuki... It's finally time for me to keep that promise...
