Tingyun aka Fugue! :D Learned some new colouring and lighting techniques and really liking how it looks. I always wanted to draw Tingyun and I'm really happy how she turned out!

Thinking about how Loulan's ladies were selected to look like her/act as body-doubles suggests that they're probably not all nobles, if any.

When Shishou was collecting girls for the late emperor, he wasn't bringing nobles and daughters of wealth the way concubines would traditionally be selected, of course. He was choosing young girls for the old emperor to prey on; of course he picked foreigners and commoners. I think he's probably back up to his old tricks as far as finding disposable women who look like his genuinely noble daughter.

All this is to say that Maomao personally would have a deep compassion for those girls and I hope Jinshi remembers that part of her in addition to the detective skills

Then again, Maomao is brutally practical at the end of the day and doesn't even take herself off the list of People Jinshi Might Behead Someday. Maybe she'd be disappointed if he didn't at least banish them like her dad. Either way I hope the poor girls aren't forgotten now they've served their narrative purpose; Kusuriya has a pretty good track record on that but the anime might have to cut details for screentime

People often say to me: “You draw like some kind of inhuman machine.  If I eat your brain, will I gain your power?”  The answer is yes, but there is another way. The key to precise drawing is building up muscle memory so that your arm/hand/fingers do the things you want them to do when you want them to do them.  Teaching yourself to draw a straight line or to make sweet curves is just a matter of practice and there are some exercises you can do to help improve. If you’re going to be doodling in class or during meetings anyway, why not put that time to good use?

So, I had a chat with Elegy, the Weeping Angel NPC we talk to for Apocalyptic Shadow for those shiny Stellar Jades that we are constantly saving and sobbing over—

So I can screenshot her dialogue:

Amber = Propagation

Immortality = Abundance

Music = Harmony

Light arrows = Hunt

So, about Jingliu’s segment in Fables of the Stars Pt 2—

Quick refresher: She holds a grudge against Dan Feng / Dan Heng because of the Sedition of Imbibitor Lunae, which we know that the Preceptors had a manipulative hand in and resulted in Dan Feng’s experiment getting botched and causing a lot of death and destruction, and Dan Feng being executed and Dan Heng being imprisoned, as well as creating Bailu.

Note: We still do not have the exact details over this, which was Dan Feng apparently trying (and failing) to save the Vidyadhara from extinction and / or split the destructive and healing power of the High Elder.

Now, here, we see her ready to tamper with and use the remains of Tayzzyronth, the Aeon of Propagation, in a bid to destroy the Abundance for good — when we’ve already seen the nightmare that is the Swarm Disaster. *points at Firefly, the Simulated Universe and Ruan Mei’s cloned Emanator*

And who is Jingliu working with? Luocha, who claims to be a merchant, but is unrecognizable by seemingly any merchant guild of the Xianzhou Alliance. (Note: not sure about IPC merchants or others).

And this is happening right as things are picking up with Amphoreus, the Lord Ravagers and whatever else is happening between the Aeons.

Does anyone else sense a sort of irony here?
