Let’s start at the beginning then. A while ago @unfortunatelycake wrote this fanfic called Love is Sung in Minor Key, it’s a really great fic and I loved it. In the fic Kinshirou was to be in an arranged marriage with a girl.

And it got me thinking, what kind of girl would be good to marry Kinshirou? And somehow my thoughts landed on Madoka Kaname. Because she and Kin could be so good for each other.

I do headcanon that for the longest time Kinshirou crushed on Atsushi, but never acted on it, because Atsushi was already with En. It so happens that Madoka shared some traits with Atsushi too. She’s also nurturing, patient and kind.

What Madoka also is, is painfully shy. Which is actually not that handy for her and Kinshirou’s relationship, considering Kinshirou isn’t open and she’s not likely to speak up. But that’s something they both need to work on.

Through Madoka, Kinshirou learns to put himself in someone else’s shoes. And he’ll admire her faith in others. How despite the disorganized, ugly things in the world, she’ll always believe in the best of others. Madoka admired how Kinshirou can seem so sure of himself, and how he can be a good leader. So calm.

Ironically I have something planned for that, it will be in my fic. Like I said, I headcanon that for the longest time Kinshirou crushed on Atsushi, ever since he was like 5 or so. So Atsushi was like his first crush, and ever since he had a few other crushes too, mostly on boys.

So Madoka is actually the first girl Kinshirou has feelings for, and it will confuse him greatly. Kinshirou would actually go to En and Atsushi for advice.

And En can be like
