I swear, the only reason I even go to malls anymore is to look at the gashapon machines, and to check hot topic and box lunch for sailor moon and cardcaptor sakura merch. today I almost walked out of hot topic without buying anything, but sugar we're going down started playing, so I decided to poke around again while listening. and I found the two entire pieces of sailor moon merch in the entire store: a pair of socks and some blind bag figurines.

I think there were only three blind bags, and I should have grabbed the third one. on the plus side, mistress nine was a rare, so that's cool.

I'm not actually sure what to do with the nier keychains. I still haven't played automata lmao

New Brunswick plans to add a new role to the province’s health-care system in an aim to help with the staffing shortage. The clinical assistant position will provide an opportunity for internationally trained medical professionals to enter the field in New Brunswick, according to a news release from the provincial government. “The clinical assistant program represents a wonderful opportunity to have talented internationally trained physicians provide valuable medical services to the health system,” said Health Miniser Bruce Fitch in the release. “New Brunswickers will benefit from the knowledge of these internationally educated health professionals who otherwise would be unable to share their knowledge and expertise at this level.”

Round IX - Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦

Bonjour et bienvenue au Canada!

We have jumped back over the Atlantic (God knows why) to take a break from the European leg for the Canadian Grand Prix, arguably the best race of the season so far.

Max Verstappen returned to his winning ways this week, following an identical lap time with George Russell in qualifying, the second time in history after Jerez 1997. Both men weren't even a year old then. Despite his electrical issues at the beginning of the weekend, the Dutchman was able to minise his mistakes in the race, and was helped out by the safety car, the reverse of what he experienced in Miami last month. This brings him his 60th career win, his 50th in 75 races. He also extended his lead in the championship to 56 points following Charles Leclerc's DNF.

However, his teammate didn't have the same fortune. Sergio Perez described his qualifying as a "total disaster", and whilst the celebrations of his new contract quickly fizzled out, he couldn't perform as a Ted Bull should. Out in Q1, contact with Pierre Gasly on lap 1, a retirement following a crash *and* a grid penalty in Spain meant the Mexican probably couldn't have left Canada quick enough.

Following a turbulent season start, it was onwards and upwards for Mercedes, in particular, George Russell. Starting on pole for the second time in his career, he gave the German team their first podium of the season. Thanks to the upgrades the team brought to Montreal, George was able to be in the thick of the four way fight with Max, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri for most of the race. With this new confidence, hopes are probably high heading to Barcelona...

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 176

Honestly, I wish there was more to Extalia. Because as it is, other than the fact that it’s full of cats, it looks just like an average city in this manga. 

Like, visuallyit’s pretty, but I wish there was more going on, you know? 

More high platforms, stairs, walkways, because cats love jumping up to places. They have wings, don’t they? Then high, crow’s nest-like platforms to land on and set off from would be nice. What’s the point of this weirdly double-paved road that’s just asking for people to trip? Why is everyone walking and no one flying? Maybe make the walls ruglike! Commodity scratching poles! Frizzy walls with stray fur because everyone’s scratched their back on it. Who cares about the weather and practicality of it, this is a town of magic with rivers in the sky! 

I know these are all details Mashima can’t go into because it’s too specific, but, come on, man! Mashima is exploring the idea of going into ‘different places’, so, I want a bit more heart in the town design. 

I love the touch of the little cat with a telescopr up there but what’s the point, my dear, just fly that distance, you are literally a flying cat, you are what bird’s eye vision means. It’d be another thing if that tower was over the edge, looking into human life, though! They regard humans as below them. I can see them making a business out of observatories to observe human life, like zoos and safaris. The whole royal city that is fenced in like an enclosure. 

Make a cat paradise that a pet cat would love, rather than a minisized human town but everyone’s gotten faceswapped with a cat. Kinda like the Ichiya zombie chapter but less nightmare fuel. 

I mean, I get that the point is ‘the cats are just like us humans’, but like, worldbuild, Mashima! Don’t put cats in this town and call it a day! Make it interesting!

i know theres minisou and menkind in the square, but minisou is more about hobbies and stuff from what i've seen! (lots of really really super cute cups there though) and menkind has some figures, buuuuut most are like... starwars. zelda. naruto. the game there only really stocks funko pops or those pokemon lego builds...

the new forbidden planet is good for popup parade stuff! that was what i was thinking of when said lots of naruto and jjk. the anime and gaming convention last week also was really weak, it had like maybe three stools of figures there, it really felt like a lot of the stores were there to fill space...

i know the animecon at the old ship hotel is pretty good though!

the only other place i can think of is baka neko, "or daves comics", but like. daves comics is dire.

Yes! My youngest sibling who also collects figures/cosplay goes to uni there and my family like going holiday to Eastborne so I usually visit at least once a year. I know baka neko have some stuff, they used to have a lot of old figures but I guess they wanted to be more current. I don't blame them but it was a little disappointing when I last visited lol. I think you have all the places I know also though sadly. Menkind really is also just shounen prize figs LMAO it's a bit dire. It's really nice there. I love the Artbox cafe so much... They have an Artbox in London with more merch and I go there all the time. I am a HUGE My Melody fan LMAO

just the standard two (one in each ear) rn </3 but i have been wanting more piercings for Ages i’d love to get some in my upper ear cartilage + another set in my earlobes + maybe a lumbar piercing if we’re getting crazy… maybe a nose piercing if we’re getting even crazier :3 i think piercings r so cool and i’d love to explore it more. very gender…

hmmm… im not sure honestly! ive never understood what this question meant 😭 i cant really come up w an answer for this fhskfh people are… not something i pay that much attention to? if that. makes sense? not in a self obsessed way just i dont really analyze people around me i just sorta exist alongside them. tho when the topic of anything vaguely political comes up i feel like a lot gets revealed really quickly. someones kindness and compassion when interacting with people is an importwnt trait 👍 to me. trying to cover all my bases here hopefully i answered Something..!

🍪 - if you were a cookie, what kind would you be?

a sugar cookie w either strawberry or lemon icing ^_^! but specifically from this one shop my parents would take me when i was little i have very vivid memories of it - my sibling and i used to beggg for some cookies from there anytime we went to the target across the street from it. they sold these minisized sugar cookies that were maybe the width of a pingpong ball? and they were so good the cookies were all soft and the icing was a fat dollop on top that would cling to ur upper lip or the tip of your nose when you bit into it. the taste of my childhood fr those things were the most prized treat one could receive. the shop closed a long time ago and i havent had them in so many years but thats what i would be i would be one of the mini lemon/strawberry sugar cookies from there…!

definitely more cat person (the crowd pretends to be shocked) HFKDHD i have worked so hard to make liking cats my 1 personality trait like i love thoise. creatures…. i really hope in my next life im reincarnated as a cat thats my ideal existence :3 i dont mind dogs at all !! just sometimes theyre overwhelming and loud and wriggly.:( loses points for team dog unfortunately… tho something i will never understand is how so many dog ppl hold such a strong and unrooted hatred for cats ? i have run into so many people who fr think cats are the devil incarnate and need to be burned at the stake or whatever like……Ermm.. its a cat . they purr whenyou cuddle them and u can feel it echo through your chest…. i think thats great

earbuds ! headphones have always fit around my head weird and smushed my ears which i dont really enjoy </3 plus when i wear earbuds i can pretend i am putting the music inside of me ^_^
