I love how Ma Ru doesn't even stop to consider Sara until she's right in front of him. He just goes, I kissed MinWoo. Love Class 2: Maru x Minwoo

Conflict: A friends-to-lovers plot where college student Minwoo pines for his unemployed high school bestie Maru until a female ally swoops in to make Maru jealous, so he could realize his feelings. (He's the idiot hiding in the bushes below.)

Chemistry: Maru was a level of dumb that justified why it took so long for him to realize how he felt, and Minwoo's frustration with himself was (briefly) heartbreaking. Actor Lee Kwang Hee (Maru) really delivered in the first kiss scene though 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 -- wasn't even disappointed that they didn't show them going further.

Sequel/Spinoff: They should've ended their story after Maru told a sleepy Minwoo that he would spend the rest of his life trying to show him as much love as he's received. After that it becomes quite obvious that they're not actually compatible. Maru is too immature. I wish he spent the last 2 episodes trying to get a job instead of being content in mooching off his bestie-turned-boyfriend.

I've been sad about all the BL shows this week and I was looking forward to this weekend hoping my comfort shows would lift my mood. I was hoping that would be Dangerous Romance. Sure, I love Perth and Chimon and I'll watch the show irrespective of what they do with the plot. But guess what, it wasn't this show that put a huge smile on my face and made me giggle like a child.

Love Class 2 gave me not one, but 2 boyfriend episodes with 3 couples and it was the sweetest, bestest, cutest thing I've seen this year! I was just laughing and giggling throughout both the episodes and I'm so so so happy with this show. I wasn't sure how it would turn out when I watched episode 1 and 2 and I had to figure out who these 6 characters were. But now, they are my babies. I love them and I cherish them!

6. Coming of Age

the first kbl i ever watched: light on me! this was just such a cute show where the mc is endearing and going through a life rebrand where he no longer wants to be alone. it makes sense who he goes after, but its a story that tells you you’ll find love so long as youre keeping your heart open. the storytelling is lovely and i was enamored 🥰

9. Fake Dating

Wedding Plan! This one gets a lil steamy so be warned 😂 the fake dating trope is usually done in such a way that you know it’s happening right from the start. this is not one of those!!! I adored namnuea and all his reactions (and occasionally his love for mcdonalds - i apologize for the product placement in this one in advance, they came on so strong 😭) and honestly his indecision, his moral qualms, all of his humanity made me pick this show for fake dating. paksunny have their first run together with this one and i highly recommend it if you enjoyed the og series this is a spin off for, love in the air.

12. Forced Proximity

this may not be the top choice of most people, but love class season 2. I really liked season 1 and i think in comparison, season 2 is more fleshed out with more/different characters to get into. you dont need to watch love class 1 to watch love class 2. the love story between minwoo and maru is the forced proximity trope done by having one character, maru, just moving in, and quite honestly barely asking, just assuming, “hey, we’re friends! this will work!” spoiler alert: yeah it kinda does work but it gets worse before it gets better. this show has everything: a dating class, an intriguing mystery plot, a romance amongst teachers, a one night stand only trope, one sided love to requited love, a coffee shop au, a fake dating au, black cat x orange cat dynamics, an undeserved prison sentence, etc etc. its quite literally chalk full of of everything and the story carries the three couples of this show in every direction. i couldnt stop watching!

i hope this excuse to talk about these shows leaves an impression!! i tried to pick some that i dont see people talk about too often 🥰

I love Minwoo. He's so insecure and so sweet and he just wants so much to feel special to Maru but nothing he does ever lets him feel like he matters even if everyone else sees that Maru always chooses him.

Hyun knows exactly what is going on between his two friends and is letting them take their own course while he watches them circle each other.

I am emotionally devestated by Minwoo sitting alone at a picnic table listening to Maru's message again and again because he's trying to make him jealous but mostly just making himself miserable... not that he wasn't miserable before.

I guess it's not such a big change. Except for Maru. Who doesn't understand what's happening and is just hurt and confused and trying to keep his friendship with Minwoo without ever looking or thinking deeper and I just... I need them to figure things out, y'all, but the pain is also so good.

Minwoo, I know you're hurt, but slut-shaming is never the answer. You can tell him you're hurt, you can be upset, you can be just as mad and angry and sad as you want. I get it! You want to know how you matter to him and this isn't helping. But still!

Also, Maru, please realize that you are hurting him by trying to 'help' him this way. Do you see what he's saying? Do you hear him or just the surface words he says in hurt and pain and unrequited love?

These two are going to shatter me entirely, y'all. I hope you know that. I hope you're ready for me to fall apart for them.
