People talk about how Noah was inside Mirage, but there's another interesting detail: the implication that Mirage could change his height in robot mode; I mean, I suppose he technically was in robot mode when he became a suit/armor, so... 👀

Summary:

"Hey Mirage?" Noah whispered, finally parting the silence. He didn't stop tracing his fingers along the seams and illuminated energon lines. Mirage secretly, selfishly, wished he never would.

"Hm?" was all he could manage in reply.

If Noah had a joke to make about Mirage finally being out of words, he was kind enough not to say it. Although Mirage could have sworn he caught the briefest hint of a smirk pass over Noah's expression.

"I'm really glad you're here," he said so quietly that Mirage might have thought he'd imagined it altogether if not for the way Noah's expression softened and his touch became almost reverent.

"I'm glad you're here too," Mirage said back, "I don't think I could have put you back together again."

Mirage didn’t even flinch at the glare Noah shot his way when he opted to cuss in front of Kris, but didn’t get a chance to chastise him before Kris was already launching himself across the garage to tug at the arm of the already mass displaced alien. “You know it, knuckles.” Kris doesn’t seem to care about the smile that pulls at Mirage’s lips as he allows himself to be pulled across the garage. “Now c’mon. I ain’t got all night, unlike your boyfriend.”

Noah chokes on nothing, unable to offer up a scathing rebuttal as his brain reboots under the force of the joke. Mirage is laughing though, and Noah stays frozen a little longer as those bright baby blues glance his way. The smile is sly, and he swears Mirage’s eyes hood before glancing him up and down. “Yeah, yeah. Little man has a curfew. I remember.”

Boyfriend!? Did Mirage even know what that word meant? The reasonable side of Noah said yes, given how much media the mech consumed on a regular basis. Another side of him thinks that maybe Mirage doesn’t understand what boyfriend means. They are boys, and they’re definitely friends. That may be all Mirage cares to translate.

After all, Mirage didn’t even react to the boyfriend jab.

About time I made this post!!!

I feel so spoiled to be blessed with the awesomeness that is ROTB. I've seen it twice now and I'm trying to watch it a 3rd time this week! It just gets better and better every time I watch it! It well exceeded my expectations and I am living for all the fanart and fics for it! 🙌🏾

Mirage is freaking HILARIOUS!!! I can't! I always get excited whenever he comes on screen because I know he's about to say something good! 🤣

And whatever the heck is going on with Mirage and Noah is just **chef's kisses** Their chemistry and interactions in the movie are perfect! The Pinocchio and ET references in their introduction scene killed me!

Oh man, I wonder if Noah will become the main human in the future movies and if him and Mirage will be the new Autobot/Human team up. Can't wait for more!!!
