Being hyperfeminine doesn’t make you a bimbo, and associating femininity with stupidity is both laughably misinformed and leans back on ridiculous sexism that dates back a hundred years ago. “Bimbo” is a heavily misogynistic insult with awful historical context. I do NOT want to get jumpscared by that in a fic I stumble upon, so please treat its use in your fics as the equivalent of degradation—carefully, and while recognizing that not everyone would enjoy it. But describing a regular ol’ feminine person in your fic and then calling it “bimbo!reader” is… definitely a choice.

So, I’m by no means an expert on this, being a trans guy (so I’m TME)

But I’ve been looking into transmisogyny bc well I’ve realized I might have some issues I gotta work through, but that’s a different story-

I occasionally scroll through terf/radfem blogs to block everyone they reblog from/interact with and I’ve only just realized (and frankly I should’ve realized it much sooner, again that is on me) but ninety percent of what I see there is specifically targeting trans women.

Yes obviously there is some bullshit about trans men, but a vast majority of said bullshit is about trans women. I’ve heard people shit-talking trans women YEARS before I even learned trans men were a thing!

I’ve also seen some people (also TME people, of fucking course) saying that transmisogyny isn’t that bad or that trans women are exaggerating- and just??? What the fuck??

A) not something we can decide, B) do you not have eyes??? C) I am FAIRLY FUCKING CERTAIN THAT THE PEOPLE AFFECTED *BY TRANSMISOGYNY* ARE THE ONES WHO GET TO DECIDE ON HOW BAD IT IS???????

Misogyny by itself is fucking awful but Jesus add transphobia to it- it becomes even worse.

This place is a mess. I’m gonna go do more research and continue supporting and loving trans women.

Feyre Archeron is a warrior by necessity. She fights for survival out of necessity, not because she loves it. Feyre picks up her bow and arrow because its a matter of life and death and not because she harbored dreams of conquering cities or joining armies.

Of course she put that weapon down in favor of tranquility and peace the first chance she got. All Feyre ever wanted to do was paint in peace- she says that in the first few chapters in ACOTAR. She wanted her family to be safe so she could paint without worrying about the world.

I'm so tired of people coming for her for deciding to have a family or acting like there is something disgusting and foul about wanting to be a young mother. It's not a choice you'd make for yourself- thats valid. But its so in line with Feyre's character to want that.

In the midst of a looming war, Feyre doesn't want a baby. She has to be the warrior. She changed her mind once the war was done- after she watched Rhys die and thought they all might die, too- that's not some massive betrayal or weird retcon/authorial insert. That's just...Feyre...finally having some peace and realizing it was finally safe to start building the life she had always wanted.

Its so funny the poor reception the KR2008 posting is getting. Yes, KITT calls Mike 'Mike.' This Michael is technically Michael Knight's son, and KITT is the Knight Industries Three Thousand, and in typical early-mid 2000s fashion, he is gay and homophobic. They're socializing him with black and white Westerns. He has a gun.

It's a very... sterile show. Poorly done. CGI in place of practical effects. KITT is constantly being spun around in this laser orb contraption. They turned him into a sort of goo and half of his tangible surface area can be used as a screen.

Of course, I'm only on episode two and I am sure it mellows out with time, but so far everyone here just kind of sucks. It's very jarring to see a Knight Rider with so much gun use.

God I really do hate that Kishimoto made perviness be such a central part to Jiraiya's character, yet made him so cool otherwise. I'm in the middle of ep 128 of shippuden, aka where he's training Nagato & co, and he just. When he sets aside the dumbass act and finally acts like a mature adult, giving advice to his students... like I mean him acting like a dumbass is a whole part of how he works, but he COULDVE been a dumbass without the perv aspect to it 😭😭😭 I really do mourn what he could've been if it weren't for that shit. Bc even now I find myself getting drawn into the story and feeling some measure of fondness for him, but then I remember how he is towards women and it's just entirely soured. And he really was so important to Naruto, giving him a taste of actual Family, and yet..! I can't ever truly mourn him bc he's such a piece of shit!!!! God, I hate it!!!!! Why does Kishimoto write characters like this
