Day 2 of filming “Dirty Rotten Tofu and the Gohan Girls”! I love these first few pics from after dinner of day 1 with @thephiltan @itsceliaau and @thejoshhan and my mother, June @cowgirlsushi So much awesome talent in one room! 😳😆⚔️🔥👊🏼💖

The videos are from day 2. I was mostly in fittings with our talent and costume designer @rebeccabertot with costume supervisor @elirowe5 . I really enjoyed costuming for film. Actors such as @metasarmiento , @ryder.liu @thejoshhan and @donnasmojo @jetwii1 had their fittings which were hella fun! Especially when blood and distressing is involved. Hehe ⚔️ Getting to know everyone on a personal level was such a blessing. Lots of genuinely warm energy. 🥰💗

I was also on set as a wardrobe rep in a scene we shot. It was inspiring to see a team with such super talented artists like @markdaviddirector ( Director of Photography) David Glenn and Cory Ferreira (Set Design) @missingreceipt @d_glenn all work together and make some legit magic happen. Celia and Josh’s intense performances completely blew me away. 😮🥺🔥👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 My mother June was having a great time making her vision come to life. ✨⚡️🙌🏼🤠💪🏼

We also gave out our crew T-shirts which featured my art. My sibling @mataozuka is did a fantastic job adding the typography, organizing the images and printed all the shirts! They were a big hit 🥰 To help us finish this film, please check out our post production GoFundMe! Link in my bio. 🔥⚔️

I saw yoongi on sunday and it's been 3 days and I still miss yoongi like never before 😭😭

I've always been very solidly namjoon biased and this is the closest any of the members have come to fully shifting my worldview 💀 I thought I would be getting over it but I accidentally made it worse by looking back at the PTD LA pictures where he's ginger and buff as hell 😭

Ryen please help, this isn't conducive to moving on 😭

Final Day on Set of DRTGG Pt. 2

I was so grateful Kaysea made the trip all the way to Silverton to play the part of “Iris”. Loved that we had a chance to chat about living in Japan and all sorts of random stuff throughout.

She’s such a sweetheart and seriously nailed every second of her scene! 💖😍😭🙌

By the end of the shoot, it was very common to hear someone mention how rare and awesome it was to be working with so many other talented people who are also Asian!

This was exactly what my mother, June talked about. Asian　representation and diversity in many forms was an integral part of how “Dirty Rotten Tofu and the Gohan Girls” comes to life, and it’s been so heartwarming to experience it.

Another exciting day on the set of “Dirty Rotten Tofu and the Gohan Girls” in Silverton, Colorado. Today was mainly rehearsal for the big action scene but we got a lot of great shots in as well. My favorite scene from today was Kaysea Clark’s (playing the role of Iris). She is such a natural and the whole cast/crew was impressed with her performance. Also gotta mention that I just love her smile!! 😆💖

In addition, Stafford @staffordchavis ( playing the role of noodles) really brought his character and film to a whole new level. I could not help but grin every time he delivered lines because I could tell he put his entire soul into each moment. It really shows in his performance and what a awesome person offset too!

Everybody’s lovely attitude made this film become more than we could’ve imagined, especially the art department who tirelessly created a space for our dreams to come true. This movie magic was brought to us by art department David Glenn @d_glenn Cory @missingreceipt and @rebeccabertot . Every single prop and corner of the set was truly intricate and beautifully created. As a big fan of old western movies, it was so inspiring to work in such a well loved space, true to June’s vision.

I also would be remiss if I did not mention how much fun it was to get to know each and every person on set. The henchmen in particular @metasarmiento @ryder.liu @steveterada and @jetwii1 were a blast to hang out with and work with. They all brought brilliant energy and we are so grateful for everyone that did the same. 🙏🏼🖤🖤🖤
