Raiden's senses, already heightened by the blindfold's oppressive darkness, tingled as the scent of jasmine rice and spiced meats wafted toward him. Kung Lao's voice, interwoven with mirth, broke through Johnny's animated retelling.

"Here comes the Flying Dragon Kick special," Kung Lao declared, his words punctuated with a playful edge, referencing their shared knowledge of an inside joke, mingling with the familiar fragrance of Kung Lao's skin—an earthy musk tinged with sandalwood. The gentle pressure persisted, insistent yet caring, as a piece of succulent chicken was pressed to his mouth.

"Open up, Raiden," Kung Lao's voice playfully commanded, laughter dancing in his tone. "It's your favorite – remember those nights we'd sneak into the kitchen and you nearly set it on fire trying to cook this?"
