one thing I find fascinating is how the dance crew girls hated on Chaeyeon for being on Street Woman Fighter, even though she’s an incredible dancer. yet there’s hella male idols on Be Mbtious and the guys are chill about it… it really just goes to show how unnecessarily spiteful some woman can be to each other. -mind you, Chaeyeon has been a dancer for years, way before even debuting, and has the skills to back it up. add to that the fact that she can simultaneously hold such stable vocals whilst dancing. and the girlies were mad that she’s an idol rather than just a dancer?
#kpop rant#props to that one dance crew member#she was nice to Chaeyeon when the other weren’t#Chaeyeon#street woman fighter#be mbitious#street male fighter#dancer#korean#kpop#kpop dance#swf#smf#izone#mnet#izone chaeyeon

1mil got eliminated and mnet has been on their case since ep1 trying to underestimate them and holding them to different standards, it’s bs classic mnet bs
#honestly mnet had it out for this crew since the beginning and they deserve so much better#even if their performances were on par with the other crews they were deemed nog enough while others were hyped for even mediocrity#i am so angry to see them leave my godddd#but this is legit what mnet always does so i shouldn't be surprised tbh#but still ahhhh#smf spoilers#smf#justjerk or banktwo should win this show because they are the only ones not being pushed by mnet favoritism lets be real

Upcoming Street Man Fighter
Street Man Fighter is coming this summer, apparently. Since I enjoyed watching Street Women Fighter, I am especially excited to for this. Especially since I've been following a lot of the choreographers so I'm kind of hoping the ones I follow will be on the show. I also love watching battles because I feel like, apart from creating amazing choreography, it's different if someone is able to battle and dance on the spot to any song that comes up. It shows one's creativity and wit. I'm excited for that. Okay, here's where people might disagree. But anyways, I was a huge fan of HiTech Crew back then. Nowadays, I still appreciate some of Kwon Twins choreography but I feel like they're getting a little .. redundant and boring. Also, I feel like the feels to one song is just not there anymore. Don't hate me - ofc, I still like some of their stuff. I just feel it's not the same. Again, this is my personal preference. Maybe my personal preferences have changed, who knows. Anywho, I am also hoping to see Vata and Ingyoo, who dances with We Dem Boys. I'm glad they're getting more recognition because I've always loved their style. The way it looks more like they're just having fun. I like that kind of groovy, ... swag, I guess. I don't really know how to explain it but yes, I like their style. Before HiTech, I loved PREPIX. The originals at least. I haven't been following them in a long time but I like how the crew had every element and also gave me that old school vibe I liked (and they were amazing battlers). My faves were definitely Joony, Ill, Wassup, and let's not forget Yun and Sejin. I know a lot of them are much older now so I'm not even sure if they are going to be on the show but if they were, it would be so good. Their creativity is amazing. I remember when they did a video of them creating a choreography with a chair on the spot, amazing. Oh, and 5SSANG, I'm not sure if he's part of PREPIX or if he was one of the originals but I like his stuff too. And then of course, there's Just Jerk who I am almost positive will be on the show. Love JHO's choreography. Just something about it always makes me go "wow". (Female wise, love Eunkyung's choreography, she's so effortless) Other crews would probably be - BBTRIPPIN, FREEMIND, 1M, etc. Can't think of any others at the top of my head right now but possibly those. I also heard some idols will be joining which makes me a little worried, unless they've got a dance background that includes battling and freestyling. I'm just worried for them because outside the idol world, it's scary and people can be scary and ruthless when battling so it makes me worried. Another thing I've started to notice is that when a lot of idol groups choose the same choreographers, they all start looking the same .. basically, no one stands out as much anymore. SO, if I was a performance/creative director of a group, I would look for choreographers or dancers out there that have not been used yet, especially if they want to stand out. I'm not saying the big choreographer groups aren't good, it's just that a lot of moves are overused and so a lot of idols don't stand out. But it doesn't help that a lot of groups use the same concepts so can't really put it all on the choreographers. Back to SMF, I'm sure if you're reading this, you must know that a lot of dancers, choreographers, idols were posting and tagging themselves dancing to SMF one song right? Well, I'll post my faves in a separate post because there's a limit. Haha.
THANK YOU (:

220428 | Taeyong will be the MC of Met's new program 'Anybody Can Dance (뚝딱이의 역습*)
Previously, Mnet said that before the meeting of the 'Street Man Fighter' (SMF) this summer, they will be broadcasting a coaching reality program in which 'Street Woman Fighter (SWF)' leaders will teach dances to those who aren't professional dancers, but are passionate about dancing.
The new program will show the growth of the potential of the people who are full of talent and excitement, and it has been confirmed that 'Anybody Can Dance (뚝딱이의 역습)' is the program's name that heralds a 180-degree change that they will show.
On April 28th, '뚝딱이의 역습 (Ttukttak's Counterattack)' said they selected NCT Taeyong as the MC following the program's name. NCT Taeyong had previously worked with the leaders as the fight judge in SWF. Taeyong, as an idol, is drawing attention who has a hot passion for dancing and is constantly striving for growth. It is expected that through <뚝딱이의 역습> they will empathize with participants who has a passion for dance and he'll serve the role as a messenger to convey their passion and growth.
Taeyong said he is honored that his relationship with SWF led to being 뚝딱이의 역습's MC. He said it's his first time being an MC, so he's very nervous, but he wants to grant the role in connecting the passion in dancing between the casts. "We will try our best to make our viewers get immersed in the program and enjoy it," Taeyong said.
The revolt of the people who don't dance well, but whose passion is hotter than anybody else can be seen on Met's new program 'Anybody Can Dance 뚝딱이의 역습)' which is scheduled to air in June.
*(T/N: 뚝딱이의 역습 literal translation is Ttukttak's Counterattack).

not me seeing someone saying that people can hate on v*ta all they want but he will still be the most significant contributor to the fame of smf well lmao 1) most people started to know him bc he copied choreo and 2) and that's why it's a problem that he is huge now and kinda untouchable bc he has mnet behind him and nothing will ever happen to him since he plagiarized choreo from a group that is not that huge in korea
#they really think being known for being plagiarist is a flex#like wow bro.... good for u i guess 👍#he is to this day asked abt it so it's not like#the fame he has is good lmao#tris.txt

[TRAD] Matéria sobre o episódio final do programa “Be Mbitious”

Elas incluem 1MILLION, We Dem Boyz (WDBZ), Eo-Ddae, Bank Two Brothers (BⅡB), Prime Kingz, YGX e Just Jerk.

Hey <3
I read this fic of yours not long ago (loved it btw!!) and I was just wondering what dancer exactly inspired you to write it? Since you said that a dancer was the inspiration behind it.. I was just curious bc I love smf and you had smf in the tags :)) (you can just ignore this ofc if you'd rather not say who!!)
hello nonnie! yes it was a smf dancer - i've been diligently watching mnet's dance series since SWF aired last year! i'm a huge simp for the guy i thought of when i was writing this, but he also doesn't have much of a fanbase internationally and might not be considered conventionally handsome - so i was scared of using his actual name in the tags thinking it might be a turnoff to some...
but okay here goes drumroll please....
🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
it was trix!!
i'm a giant simp for him - he's actually insanely attractive to me and he's absolutely my ideal type!
thank you for asking and taking interest in my fic,, and thanks for reading it too! big love💕
sorry for the insane amount of tmi i'm just happy to find another smf enjoyer! feel free to visit my askbox again❤️

Music Monday #214: ATEEZ - Paradigm release: November 2022 genre: Jpop cw: bright flashing throughout, potential seasickness warning
You know you've missed me and my Kpop nonsense. ;) November was too full of everything and then some, so sure, I have a backlog a mile high, but like I was going to wait on my boys.
This MV is pretty bad for anyone with photosensitivities, so if you just want to hear the song, here's a Spotify link or search on your preferred streaming platform. As a performance version, the video doesn't have the same level of lore clues as more story-driven MVs like Guerrilla or Turbulence, so if you can't watch it, it'll be fine. Theorytiny will be filling in gaps for awhile. ;) The thing with ATEEZ is when they say they're doing something new this next release, we know by now they mean it. Considering that first minute was in all the previews for the album, it wasn't really a surprise when Paradigm opens with that whistling. If Guerrilla was the mating of hard rock with EDM, Paradigm dropped the rock elements to play with blending EDM and lyrical pop elements. So if you're looking for dance-pop with post-apocalyptic pirate vibes, definitely consider adding this to your collection. As much as I'm actually an opponent of the whole "anything but even line distribution is unfair!" brigade and while Jongho definitely gets the most, the distribution feels a lot more even than some other title tracks (in the end, it isn't, but the only line distribution analysis I've seen so far counts seconds a little wonky, counting some "ad libs" but not others). If I didn't know odds were Edenary (of which Hongjoong and Mingi are both a part) initially wrote this no less than six months ago (and probably more like 8-10+), I'd be tempted to look at some of those lyrics and try to apply them to the ongoing BS with Vata/SMF. If this was written as a clapback, it was more likely in response to the previous BS between KQ/ATEEZ and Mnet. "Nobody can stop me"? "Even devils call me up, I don't cheat"? They know how often others have copied their homework. As for the video ... again, performance version means the focus is meant to be on the dance moves. Minimal sets and costumes designed to draw attention to the flares both help with this. The swooping camera moves, not so much, but then again also sort of yes? But the more I watch it, the more I'm wondering if any ATINY might be familiar with Japanese sign language? A lot of those hand/arm moves could just be flares to highlight the musical moment, but a few of them feel like they're intentionally saying something? But I barely know anything in ASL, so I'm not qualified to really go there. And now...the lore paragraph! As I said, this is a performance video, so the lore elements are fewer. Fewer but not none. Again, we're maybe peering at Z-teez, but which one (I still maintain that A and Z are clusters of parallel timelines)? Visually, this feels a lot like a part of the Deja Vu storyline, but there's so little here, it's hard to say, especially when the blue set also feels like a callback to the door we see opening in the Wonderland MV ... which is an A plot. A connection that's further supported by the art on the cover of the EP. A whole new world, a whole new paradigm. The A team walked through that door and after Wonderland came Answer, which could be anywhere (and any time), but shows A-teez (Pirateez) meeting Z-teez (aka Halateez) making their alliance as the end of Treasure era. Does this connection (Paradigm and Wonderland) mean we're back to rolling forward from "now" instead of still in flashbacks? Only time will tell. Of course that particular location has been used by a number of groups over the years, looking for that very same dystopian vibe, but my silly little fangirl brain can't help connecting it to the maze in EXO's Overdose. Because I have a sickness and the only cure is EXOTEEZ. XD The World Ep.Paradigm is out now on all streaming platforms and for physical sale wherever you buy Jpop releases. As an aside, given the year it's been, a part of my heart is grateful to see Mingi wearing the safety pin. Maybe I'm fooling myself, but with ATEEZ's history of vocal support for the LGBTQ+ community, I like to think that was a purposeful choice and not just a fashion statement. And it's Mingi, so it's probably both. Want to see Music Monday deep dives more often? Sponsor a song selection! For the low, low price of one (1) KoFi, I'll write up the song of your choice. ANY song of your choice. Yes, even that one that's been played to death. Yes, your obscure faves too. With sponsors, I can stop skipping weeks and falling further and further behind in the releases! Sponsor a current CB for the next open Music Monday slot or sponsor a throwback for a Thursday feature! But seriously, if you've been enjoying my selections and analyses, we (me and the foster kittens) would love a KoFi in thanks. DW | Twitter | Ko-fi | Patreon | Discord | Twitch
