Elyra got a fancy little photoshoot back in March while I was hanging out with my local BJD group of friends, that I forgot to upload here.

I was switching between my 50mm and 35mm lenses here, as it was too difficult to hold her up with one arm in the yellow flowers and hold the camera far enough away with the 50mm lens.

I still like how these photos turned out. I'm getting better at shooting with scenery, when I stop hermit-ing that is...

The what is what:

Eyes: 14mm Ashuradark Eyes in unicorn

Was trying some clothes on my mnf Celine and during that tried my pink wig in her and... damn it looks cute.

I also think she finally told me her name 🤔 I'll sleep a night over it, and then decide

Okay, these Fairyland MNF Ingrid open and sleeping heads on the A-Line muscle boy body in natural skin was a huge undertaking to turn him into Law from One Piece. The hand sets are number 5 and 7.

Each tattoo was painstakingly hand painted and sealed many times to keep them protected.

I did some quick and silly pictures of him with an unstyled wig where he looks absolutely done with my bullshit.

Since artblock is real, I'm gonna share my other artistic hobbies besides crocheting and here's another one: painting dolls!

These are all ball-jointed dolls, bjds, in sizes from 10 cm to 65 cm, made friom resin. They're all mine, they're all legit, and I've painted them myself, and made the outfit in the last image.

(Here's a list of the sculpts for those in the know: CP Delf Juri 06, K-Doll Karon and modded MNF Ante, Dream Valley Thorn, CP Delf Miyu, another Juri 06, Soom Humpty Dumpty (DAPPER EGG!), Soom Opel&Lier (I've also made the wig myself!), Crobidoll Yeon-ho and Tei, K-Doll Kill_U 2nd, Fairyland F60 Cygne and the rest are Universedoll De'Ath Skull version, a huge 65 cm wonderfully creepy lady. This is not my entire collection, just the dolls I've painted myself)

Quick snap of Roo - I wanted to take a feedback photo for this new wig (meant as Hewitt-girl's spare), and Roo was the doll of appropriate size with the girliest face-up in my crew at the moment.  (The wig is the “Yuki” style by Huko and is quite lovely.)

Welcome back Elyra! I bought her secondhand from a good friend of mine this past December 2023.

It's still so surreal to me that I got my dream MNF back in my collection. I had to sell my first one back in 2015 due to needing emergency funds when one of our roommates lost their job and my wife and I (back then fiancee) needed to pay bills.

I had listed a bunch of dolls, and sadly, my MNF Ryeon sold the fastest. It's a sale I have always regretted because I did really like her.

This Ryeon isn't the same one, but is from the same year, but she accepted the old Ryeon's character and name without a hitch! I'm so glad I have my kitty/fox girl back.

More blathering about the doll and such under the break

Elyra is really settling into her new shell and look quite nicely. Let me show a quick comparison of my previous to current one:

I did not ever expect to get her back, especially once Fairyland discontinued the older sculpts, so I didn't keep any of her things. So now she has a new wig, outfits, shoes, eyes, tail, and ears.

The tail and ears are now both made by me, though I do intend to re-buy the ears she had before. I just didn't want her to be without kitty/fox ears until my friend casts a few more of the old ears.

She was a fox in the past, but now I'm undecided on if she should be a cat instead. Her old tail was a big real fox tail, the new one is made of faux fur, and is fully posable thanks to the wire I put in it.

She's also good friends with little Ursa, my old DZ Shoyo, who I got around the same time as I got Elyra 1.0

It is super pretty and I hope it will fit my incoming Mnf Ariel 😁

I picked up this nice Fairyline Minifee boy body hoping that Tennant or Wes could use it, but it was way too small for both of them. However, what I did have was the extra sleeping head that Dollshe sent with my Saint. I was interested in modding the eyes open to look a bit more like the faceplate Saint with the smaller eyes, and I thought the proportions on the MNF body were really good. I made the wig from a wigcap I'd rejected for my first Saint's wig because it was too thick, so the wig is kinda bulky but he has a lot of drama.

What is it with mnf collectors and pulling wigs so far back you nearly see the faceplate seam!? Is this a mnf trend Im too SD collector to understand? Are mnf foreheads made of gold and must be shown off to the whole world? Do they receive better wifi through their shining domes? Goddamn just pull that wig down a little bit more and make your doll not look like a deranged balding serial killer ffs.
