Volume 2 Thoughts

What is the point of having the boys make breakfast if we're just gonna go immediately into a challenge? And why is the challenge so early in the day?

Raunchy Races.... they used to be my favorite part of casa, but they're just dumb prompts now. "Most popular boy" and "most creative girl" aren't it. And why were 90% of them Alex?

I did LOVE all the little reassurances from Joyo, especially him telling me that Uma's kiss had nothing on mine. (I love him your honor)

We have to pay to win?! That's just greedy FB.

Convo with Raf was kinda cute, but I have him SHOVED into the friendzone. Not to pull a Nicky but... little brother vibes all the way from me.

And we're already leaving casa?!? WTF, that's so soon!

Oh wow, Summer "kissed" someone and I have to spend my dates talking to the boys about it and not actually learning anything. That's totally what I wanted to spend my time doing!

Alex's and Raf's dates were.... fine. But damn, Bryson gave me an even bigger ick on his date (no shade to those who like him, he's just NOT my thing)

Joyo's date 😍. The kiss at the end was so goofy but still hot. I think @mrsbsmooth nailed it when she said he's got some Lucas vibes (I'd add some vague Levi vibes too and I'm here for all of it).

Learning about the summer "kiss" was the least surprising thing to happen yet. I'm happy Joyo put her gently in her place, but damn, that was dumb.

Spin the bottle is a fun idea, but when I'm the only one doing any kissing it might as well just be truth or dare.

A flirt off?! Seriously?! I've never passed so quickly on a gem scene in my life.

The rooftop terrace thing was cute, but the sex scene was meh (and I'm finishing kinktober before I write Joyo smut! .... probably).

All in all, the characters still felt the same as last week, which is an improvement at times from S6, even if I felt the presence of AI more in this volume. I wish we had more time in casa, it all feels very rushed. Still going damn near feral for Joyo, even if I wish he'd just flat out tell me he's taking me back instead of dancing around the subject. Honestly more confused about who's coming with us. Don't think it'll be Summer, Uma is 50/50, and Bonnie has to come back since she's an LI but ... she's not vibing with anyone.

Bonus theory about Cassius: I think he's the guy Daph is kissing in casa. She's gonna switch to him and Raf is either gonna switch to us when he sees Cassius in the postcard or one of the other boys will take Raf girlies to the villa for Raf's benefit.

Thoughts on Gallavich Hall of Shame

Wow okay this is the latest I’ve ever posted a weekly recap and I feel awful about it but mom life amirite? I’ve seen a lot of negative posts about this episode( maybe I just follow the wrong people) so ngl I’m kinda worried about watching it. Ugh. This is why I try to not look up things until I’ve had a chance to recap because I hate being influenced by other people’s opinions BUT I’m gonna try my best to find the positive things in the episode and keep this light hearted and fun like I’ve been trying to do all season! Just imagine. They’re how old? Mid to late twenties and neither of them have properly dealt with their issues and mental health problems. You can’t expect them to be the perfect couple you read about in fanfics. Yeah shameless is over the top but it’s a tv show that has stayed on the air for 11 seasons BECAUSE of how over the top it is. Stop expecting these characters to be healed healthy woke changed characters from one season to the next when they haven’t even properly dealt with their issues and it would honestly be very ooc if they did deal with their issues in a healthy way

Volume 5 Thoughts

Joyo looks so sad about new bombshells that I just want to hug him and tell him it'll all be okay

Who tf is Stephen and why should I care? Why have none of the bombshells actually stayed in the villa?

Bits before a challenge seems a little weird, but ok. Getting caught and Joyo's blushy face when it happened was cute. But like he said, we're coupled up, it's not gonna cause drama.

Excess baggage. Joyo was so surprised when I guessed his secret (he helped plan an underwater proposal for a buddy), but BABE it was so obviously you. Liked the drama and how little of it actually involved me, but really? Alex had a threesome? (I know this can be Bryson, but STILL). And why didn't I have a secret revealed?

Uma, who have you become? You're turning into Summer 2.0

Okay, Evan is such a cute friend during that poolside chat. I don't want him as an LI but I want him to be my bestie.

JOYO 😍. Him opening up and admitting we bring out a different side of him had me swooning. And he wants to buy a little beach house for his future family?! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

Shocker, Travis picked me even though I've been rejecting him left and right and shooting down all his attempts at flirting.

And we don't even get to see the rest of the recoupling? I swear if Geri and Joyo end up together, she's gonna catch hands if she tries to make a move.

Solid, drama filled episode this week. The reactions to the challenge felt very realistic and I liked that the game accounted for the fact that Geri catching me and Joyo isn't drama. Routes are starting to merge more unfortunately, but there's still some great unique dialogue one-on-one.

Volume 4 Thoughts

Oh boy, things started to go a bit off the rails this week (doesn't help that I barely remember what happened last time) but here we go...

What was the point in getting to know the OG girls only for half of them to be dumped immediately? (Estelle and Willow for me, shame I wanted them to be my besties)

Evan is... yikes. Gorgeous sprite but as soon as he started checking me out at the ceremony it was a no from me

I cannot stop laughing about the chat with the dumped OGs. To sum it up: "Geri's a hypocrite, she's gonna hate you, but you and Joyo are adorable and we both ship it."

Joyo is SO CUTE. I wasn't expecting him to be so nervous and sweet right away, but I love that he's opening up to us some more (ok, in all honesty, my love for him should be studied cause it defies all scientific reasoning, but...)

Shocker, Geri still has a thing for Joyo.

Maybe this is my blonde MC who wears a lot of pink, but I look like Daph's sister and I hate it.

The challenge. Where to even start. That shit was ROUGH. The 'sexy' dialogue was so cringy, wtf was Geri doing anyway? HOWEVER Alex's 'wood weekend is starting early' comment SENT me.

Evan needs to chill. He's being very forward and isn't listening when I say I'm not interested.

Seriously Geri, you can flirt with Joyo all you want, he's not going back to you so save yourself some dignity and stop looking so desperate.

But I LOVED the chat where he was reassuring us and telling us all about his friend group, they sound so wholesome and inclusive 🥺

Raf and Daph are ADORABLE. I love them your honor, OTP. Please let them stay a sweet, loyal couple and don't turn them into a toxic mess.

Alex and Uma are surprisingly cute together too.

Unsurprisingly, Bryson and Bonnie have friendzoned each other.

The winner of the challenge gets to pick who goes to the hideaway? It should just be winner goes to the hideaway. Picking makes no sense (especially when we can't opt out anyway)

That being said, as a recovering Ozzy girlie, actually being able to go to the hideaway with my chosen LI for the first time since SEASON 3 (Damn, Oliver and Ozzy lovers were robbed) was so nice.

I need them to stop with the toys that are used for 0.5 seconds though, if they're not gonna be incorporated don't bother. Smut was a little better than last time though, but still nothing special.

Two new Islanders? Already? Guess that means no movie night....

A LOT more clear AI use these episodes and I'm so upset about all the OG girls leaving. Hopefully I can become besties with Daph soon cause the other girls are all starting to annoy me at times. Still head over heels for Joyo and at this point that's what's keeping me going, I hope more happens next week though cause this week was just predictable AF.

Volume 6 Thoughts

Geri is about to catch some hands. Girl cannot take no for an answer and is beyond delusional when it comes to Joyo. Telling her off felt good.

Why does Joyo's little pouty face get me every time? It's so sad and cute at the same time.

No Travis, I don't want you, I don't know how many times I have to say it.

I'm sorry, but why do none of the couples change anymore? There was so much drama last week and still nothing changed.

The sleepwear options are cute, especially the teddy. My MC is fully embracing her Barbie era with all the pink outfits this season.

I've seen quite a few other people say it, but why the hell do we need to sneak out to the daybeds? I want Travis and Geri to know we don't want to sleep next to them.

Joyo mentioned in casa that he loves dirty talk and girls whispering in his ear. Idk if the other boys said that or not in this volume but it is a Joyo specific thing in my head now.

All the boys smell like cedarwood apparently and I reject it. Joyo's a scuba diver from a beach town for Christ's sake, he should smell like the sea and maybe something like bergamot. Not cedarwood (that should be Alex specific and I'll die on that hill).

Bits scene itself was short ànd kinda lackluster.... I don't have time to rewrite it, but it's tempting.

Okay, again, idk what the morning chat looks like for everyone but I was kicking my feet and squealing like a little girl. It was established in casa that Joyo hates camping and sleeping outside, but he goes on this little rant about how much he enjoyed sleeping under the stars with us and how we're the only person he'd do that for. Can you say swoon-worthy?

Movie night titles were way better this season. I particularly liked 'Jumping for Joyo', 'Geri Much In Love', and 'Daph-Need Your Love'.

But the movie night drama was not it. Wow, a bombshell came in and flirted with me, call the press! Thank God Evan said something. The rest of the clips felt contrived or like they were just there to make Geri look bad (can't Joyo just pick me cause he likes me more and not cause Geri's a hot mess hypocrite?)

Can we also just appreciate that when I say my head isn't turning, everyone knows it's still on Joyo. We've been asking for this since casa s2 and it's finally, consistently remembering who I said I want to be with no matter how many people are interested in me.

Date with Evan was fine. Love that he seems to respect the word no. His sprite is fine AF, but I really just want him to be my villa bestie.

Love how soft and melty Joyo is one on one now, it's precious.

I absolutely howled when Joyo came to pull me for a chat and talked right over Geri's protests. She was so shocked.

Flowers, really? Kinda hoping they actually aren't from Joyo (and think they might not be just so FB can have him be jealous and start more drama). It's a little weird honestly and an interesting choice for a cliffhanger.

Still really enjoying this season for all its faults honestly. Joyo has me in the palm of his hand and I'd happily go with him anywhere. Not totally sure I see the vision for where they're gonna take the rest of the season, but as long as I get to keep flirting with Joyo, I'm good.

Volume 3 Thoughts

I know some people didn't love it, but I adore how Joyo says that he's more about fun and building a friendship at the start instead of rushing into serious stuff, it's in line with everything he's told us so far

It's not exactly dirty talk during his chat, more describing the first date he'd take us on back home, but why did it have me sweating like it was? Ugh, I'm down so bad for this man

Joyo pulling Bonnie was a little cute, I'm assuming it's to get my bestie's opinion on if I really want him and will accept no other theories

Stick or twist: Alex twisted to Uma, Bryson to Bonnie, and Raf stayed loyal. Joyo's speech has me squealing like a little girl, especially since he dropped the mysterious stuff and flat out said he was crazy into me. Summer's little temper tantrum was hilarious too, poor Raf didn't know how to put his foot down

Idk about the other girls sprites, but Geri's is... interesting. Her head doesn't fit her body and her angry face makes her look like a tomato.

I dgaf what she has to say though, I found my man and he's staying by my side or I'm calling FB to complain

All in all, pretty solid volume. There were too many misused slang words again and I want to interact with Bryson as little as possible.

The hold Joyo has on me is unreal. He can do no wrong (or I can fix him when he does, thanks fanfic!). Can't wait for all the drama next week and to see who the girls brought back

Volume 11 Thoughts

Okay first off, I have genuinely enjoyed this season. It's no masterpiece but it's light, goofy, cheesy fun. That being said...

This whole volume just felt repetitive: ANOTHER blanket fort, the same convo on the date, a lackluster deceleration...

Date was cute, but nothing special really

The recommended prom dress is horrendous

And that dance off thing was not it

Glad I could squash the beef with Geri finally

I don't want to ask Joyo to be exclusive, I want him to ask me to be his girlfriend! (But that's probably his surprise tbh)

Why are we doing yearbook superlatives? And voting king and queen? It's giving high school

IVY?!? Who wanted her to host?

CRINE at Uma and Travis, she is such a messy bitch. Better not have to spend the after party cleaning up her mess

Who keeps deciding to ruin player's continuity like this? What about all the people who ran off with Hamish? He just dumped them for IVY?!

Of course I split the money and got my happy ending with Joyo

Maybe it's just cause I always find the finale a little boring, or the fact that I've been replaying the past seasons this week, but this just didn't hit the same this week. Still love Joyo, still gonna play the after-party (special guests 👀) but this isn't a volume that really evoked anything in me.

Part 2 Thoughts

Okay, what is up with Willow being so gossipy? I thought she was supposed to be the sweet one!

And I am so tired of Uma wanting me to back her up. If you had just told Alex right away, you might have been able to get through it since you weren't exclusive or anything, but the lying was too much

Oh, cool Evan is into me. Pretty sure I've told him no about a thousand times already and I'm exclusive with Joyo, why would I care about what Evan has to say?

Awww, Joyo wants me to be his girlfriend, that's so cute even if that speech was horrendous

Estelle and Alex ... Honestly I don't even blame him

Wait, so if I don't snitch on Alex, he and Uma are just all lovey dovey again? God those two are a MESS

The call with Joyo's mom (Diah) was really cute and the story about little Joyo wearing a bowler hat all the time cause that's what he thought being a gentleman is was adorable.

A new season in February.... I really wish they'd stick to one season a year, there's not enough break and the seasons are suffering for it.

Volume 7 Thoughts

Oh wow, daybeds bits with Joyo. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they didn't force me to sleep next to Travis, but it was literally a watered down version of last week.

SMP was a mess. Why did every girl propose to me when I said I don't want to date women? Why did only Raf kiss me? Geri was a bitch as always and my responses to her were all trash.

LOVED Alex's proposal to Joyo.

And pieing both Travis and Geri felt good.

Vicky has tea!... That's about everyone except Joyo. I love my man and I'm glad he's not a snake, but being baited multiple times a episode just to hear he likes me isn't it FB.

I'm sorry but a prize for best proposal? Who even made that decision? They were also just wrong. Alex/Joyo was the best one.

Apparently Every. Single. LI. shares date dialogue again, so apparently they all juggle and got DQ'd in a childhood race. BORING. Besides, Joyo's talked a lot about having hardworking immigrant parents, do you really think they're letting their 12 year old apply to a talent show they probably didn't watch?

RAF AND UMA?! Talk about a rare pair. I'm assuming it's Uma and Joyo in a Raf route? (Can someone confirm?)

The talk with Uma after was ridiculous too. It's like Lottie's girl code BS 2.0. And why was my MC so shocked about Uma and Alex doing bedroom bits with the others outside when Joyo and I literally had bedroom sex when the others were getting ready in the next room. And we got caught!

Alex coming up to make a move on me is so snakey. I know he's everyone's perfect angel but he is the default partner to Uma so it's him in every route but his own. It just felt super sneaky right after he proposed to Joyo for being a great friend. And apparently Joyo just asked for advice on asking me to be his gf? And Alex STILL pulls me aside and lays it on thick? I don't think so!

How the hell were Raf and Daph dumped over Bonnie and Bryson? (Is it Summer and Joyo on a Raf route?) The only genuine couple currently coupled up should stay over the friendship couple that's been fighting left and right.

Oh cool, now Bryson has a secret crush on me too. Guess what? I still don't like him! Rejected him in casa already, don't really want to do it again.

I swear, Geri is gonna CATCH HANDS. She's a delusional cartoon villain at this point. Like girl, all you've done is hurt him for no reason. We'll make up as soon as I tell him what happened. And even when he's upset, he STILL doesn't want to sleep in your bed so get over yourself and move on!

AI is feeling more and more present. If it wasn't for Joyo, I'd be beyond frustrated, and even then they all share so much dialogue now that we only get 2-3 unique lines and episode.

Volume 8 Thoughts

Okay, I am seriously so torn on this season. Some parts I absolutely love and some of the merged dialogue and over the top declarations feels so awkward. That being said, I'm still enjoying myself even if it sounds like I complain a lot. That being said, I have thoughts:

Joyo being mopey at least fits his character more than some of the others, but I still wanted him to grovel a bit more

I'm sorry, but I don't want to follow Uma around the villa to solve her boy problems when I have problems of my own

I literally keep forgetting about Vicky until she shows up again

Geri. In some ways she's the best villain FB has ever created, but at the same time she makes no sense? If Joyo's her dream man and she knew it from the start, she should've been all in and not all this stuff with Bryson/Stephen/Evan. It just comes across as petty

Okay, Joyo talking about how scared he is to fall for me is pretty cute and it tracks for him

Summer appeared during my challenge talking about a wedding with Joyo? Even though that's MY man and he still pulled me aside right after? It was odd

I don't understand how I can compete with Joyo, but whatever, it was a cute little scene

The terrace talk was a mixed bag. Kinda cute at times, but like why are we talking about hug types? Just hug me!

The date twist idea was just a flop for me. I like hearing the big romantic stuff, but I want it to feel natural (but if you enjoyed this, I'm really happy for you, at least they're trying something new!)

Boytime Bedtime was just so goofy and weird. I loved it 🤣 More goofy randomness please!

Final recoupling.... Definitely picking my man Joyo, can't wait to be with him again. Although I feel bad for the people who wanted more bombshells

Honestly, it felt like a lot of filler this week and I have very mixed thoughts about it all. Interested to see what happens next week though!

Volume 1 Thoughts

So I started doing these about halfway through S6, but here's my opinions that no one asked for:

The MC customization is... okay. I think my MC looks cute, but I know she looks almost identical to at least 4 other people's MCs.

Why so little clothing options? There's only like 3 things for each category and the truth or dare dress is not it.

WTF is Uma's pose? She looks like she needs to pee

So Summer is from London, but calls herself a Physical Therapist.... why not a physiotherapist like Lucas and every other person in the profession outside of the US?

Joyo.... I'm swooning. They couldn't have designed a more perfect man for me if they tried (and he's from Indonesia! Take that random redditor who snapped at me for saying he wasn't Latino and probably SEA)

Alex is... meh. Sweet and nice, but bland.

Raf was pretty forgettable too imo.

Bryson is.... obnoxious as hell. Sorry to those of you who like him (I'm not here to yuck anyone's yum), but he is the complete opposite of my type. And somehow Joyo not liking him either just elevates Joyo

Charades and truth or dare were fine. Nothing super exciting and we got to know the boys better with the chats, but it felt like a decent ice breaker.

Uma, wtf? I was mid-chat with Joyo and you're just gonna barge in like that?

Summer can go kick rocks. Joyo's mine and she's not getting between us. Girl needs to learn how to chill, but I loved being able to mess with her.

All in all, a super solid start. There's some things that are lacking, but the story seems to be off to a good start and I'll take that over more clothing and customization.

Volume 9 Thoughts

Okay, how is Joyo so cute?! I just love him so much

Ohhh, new swimsuits. I love the dark red one (even if it's a cross between Geri and Uma's suits)

Bonnie and Bryson are the most confusing thing ever. Are they a friendship couple? Cause they act like kids who think they know what dating is but have no clue.

And I'm sorry FB, me and Joyo not being on the same page when we never even talked about it is not drama. And it's sure as hell not gonna make me doubt out connection, I don't need to be able to read his mind in order to be a good couple.

Kissing challenge so late feels weird, but okay. I actually don't mind the awkward kiss (although the reasoning was a little iffy imo), not every kiss is going to be amazing every time

I really need Geri to get a grip though, homegirl Joyo doesn't want you. And he's too nice to tell you your kiss was average at best.

Winning the challenge after doing mostly cheek kisses, ah, a FB classic

That Bryson/Bonnie announcement was... a little cringy

The pool game is fun though. I really love the fluffy, goofy moments

I love that the little things have carried through. I said I used to do roller derby back in casa and it comes up again when I'm battling Geri for the ball
