we are going through some major trauma right now, and we are splitting hard and heavy for it

i also fear the system may end up getting reconfigured over it. host changes and such.

this started really suddenly, and it is really hard to go through. but at the same time... the thought of being free and healthy is alluring. but change is so so hard.

i can't help but think if this happened when we were younger, it'd be easier.

but, this is the hand we've been dealt.

I got to front again recently. I don't get the chance often these days.

Around a week ago or so. Even now, it feels so far away.

i wanted to type up something big and cool about it. but time's gotten away from us and we've been exhausted and dealing with a lot of pain and i just. don't remember anymore. i don't remember what i wanted to say.

i guess what i'll say instead is

**Rainy Day - Roxas x Reader Ficlet**

“It’s gonna be one of those days, huh?” 

Roxas’ question brought your attention away from the window. He sat down beside you on the couch and leaned his head in his hand, joining you in watching the growing storm outside. You smirked, but it fell a moment later. Today was the first day in a while that you were finally getting a day off together. You hadn’t mentioned it to Roxas, but you’d been hoping for a Struggle match or two, a trip to the Terrace, and maybe even the beach. Of course, not all of that could have been done in a single day, but now none of it could. As if to punctuate the thought, thunder growled outside. 

“It seems like it,” you replied, a sigh leaving you. “So much for a fun day out.”

“Ah don’t be like that, there’s still lots we can do.” He nudged your shoulder, that soft smile across his face that wore away at the disappointment in your chest. 

“Don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t exactly want to sit through you beating me at video-games all day… again,” you admitted and Roxas laughed, cracking a smile across your face too. 

“It’s not my fault you’re a sore loser,” he quipped in reply, flopping onto his back on the couch. He hummed in thought, staring at the ceiling. 

You watched him for a moment before turning your attention back outside. Water rushed down the cobbled streets. You spotted the occasional person running with their coat pulled over their head, trying to escape the storm. It was only getting stronger. 

“Aha!” Roxas snapped his fingers and scrambled off the couch. He went into the kitchen and you heard him rummaging through the cupboards. 

“Do I wanna know?” you asked with a chuckle in your voice. 

“Two words,” Roxas peeked his head out from around the corner. “Movie. Marathon.” He disappeared into the kitchen again and you heard the microwave whirring to life. “There’s that trilogy Pence has been begging us to watch!”

You had to admit, the idea sounded fun. “Then you’re in the kitchen because…?”

“I’m making the popcorn!” he defended himself and you laughed. 

“Ok, ok, movie date it is,” you agreed. “I’ll go grab the blankets.”

“Grab all of them!” Roxas called after you. “The more the better.”

“On it!” you called back. 

The smell of popcorn filled the house and within a few minutes, the living room was covered with fluffy blankets and pillows. You dimmed the lights and Roxas set up the first movie, then both of you settled into your cozy nest. Roxas handed you an overflowing bowl of popcorn and the two of you shared it, sitting side by side. 

Rain continued to pour outside, followed by the occasional roll of thunder. You hardly noticed the sound, especially whenever Roxas laughed. Maybe you didn’t need a day out on the town to have a special time with him. This was more than enough.

I watched our brother play the beginning of kingdom hearts 2 and it made me really...emotional. Funny, when I was never supposed to have a heart

Going back to Sora sure made my heart ache, though. There are much worse people to go back to, but...

And now, all the parts of him are here, sharing this body. Me and him and Xion. Well, we're missing Ventus...but...

Anyway, seeing the Organization flashbacks was emotional. Not seeing Xion there at all hurt. I know why they weren't there... but that's one of my best friends, missing.

And Axel... I haven't missed Axel this hard since I knew I existed here.

I shouldn't want to go back to a world where I was a mistake that never should've existed, but I shouldn't exist here either, and I just want to eat ice cream with my best friends without a care in the world

I wanted to cry. I didn't let myself, because I wasn't alone there, but it was hard...

...you need a heart to cry...

...at least i have xion and sora with me...
