oh it wasn't a joke i'm deranged and miss all my blasters since my guardians sold them - favourite ammo type is definitely the rival balls;,;, never got to own any rival blasters myself but my god they look like so much less of a hassle to reload/load mags;,; - flywheelers are so fucking neat and i loved revving up my regulator and hearing the HORROR in my younger cousins' screams... that being said... ough springers are so satisfying to use;,;, and i'm always much more fascinated by how springers get extra ammo capacity into their frame than flywheelers cause with flywheelers! ...bigger mag, that's that. for flywheelers, i've always found the rev trigger so much cooler and just more convenient than the switch. as for springers, i prefer bottom primes a lot more. it feels like it fucks with the consistency of my aim less.. that being if the blaster has a stock/attachment point for one. we don't talk about the roughcut (ey love the roughcut, it's ribs favourite blaster) - my favourite line is zombie strike without a doubt... so many cool blasters that were absolutely revolutionary for the hobby. you owe zombiestrike your hammershots, nerds... - favourite blaster... roughcut... 8 darts... shotgun... slamfire... smart ar... feels nice in the hand... the smooth prime... the KA CHUNK before you shoot... being able to choose to shoot only one dart... it's just so neat. - never played hvz! on the bucket list though if i ever rebuild my nerf collection;;,; - never played any competitive nerf actually;,; again i would love to be able to. the closest i got was playing with my friends when i was younger. - never customised a blaster but. taps side of head. i could make a rival kronos splat3 hero shot replica. i could do it. thank you so much for all those questions you let me go cuckoo crazy autism ^^ nerf is such a niche interest for me ahsgdvah

So lately I've been getting stupid into modding nerf guns

So my first one is here

Nerf hammershot I got on sale on black friday

I replaced the trigger with a steel one and the hammer with a more ergonomic steel piece

I also replaced the cylinder with one that holds 6 shots instead of five and installed a higher tension spring

Super happy with this, will update when my hand guard comes in

Modded a pair of Barricades for a friend. They needed to dual wield revolver style blasters for LARP, but Hammershots didn't quite have enough OOMPH.

-Completely rewired the electronics, stripping all the resistors and using heavier gauge wire -Used lithium AA-form-factor batteries for more kick -The barricades were made before the current Elite Dart standard, so their flywheels are a smidge undersized. Replaced them with Worker brand flywheels. -Simple, grungy paint job.

A hammershot? Hngh... This cylinder has been modded for 6 shots, and automatically holds the air restrictor in the open position for short darts without having to ramrod them when loading... The trigger, mainspring, and seal are all custom... The inner diameter of each chamber has been tightened to make the most use out of the available air volume and the mouth of each chamber has been widened and tapered to facilitate easy loading. The hammer is full steel with non-slip grooves for a higher more ergonomic grip… and not only that, nearly every part of this gun has been expertly crafted and customized...

The Goji Shot. a mini-hammershot mod, dedicated to Shin Godzilla

So I booted up warframe on the xbox to pull some crit build bases for @derelicthorror but I found them lacking q mod for some reason.

The example I pull from is the Fragor Prime.

For this I would say the core component is Body Count and Blood Rush. I remember when this was the base for a lot of crit builds and I dont know if that holds true to today.

With the Fragors 0.84 speed I find Beserker Fury to be helpful, giving +35% attack speed for 10 seconds on a kill. This could be swapped out for (Primed) Fury since they share the same polarity and can boost speed up to 1.28; in fact I might just do that.

To increase damage, Primed Pressure Point is used alongside True Steel, bolstering crit chance from 40 to 88%. Organ Strike for 90% more crit damage.

The last two slots are elemental for which I use Shocking Touch and Primed Fever Strike for Corrosive.

This build works and carried me through a lot of warframe content.

For guns, I used Lex Prime as an example of a crit build.

Hornet Strike and Barrel Diffusion are essential for any weapon build for the 220% damage and 120% multishot respectively. Since this is a low raye of fire gun, Lethal Torrent provides 60% fire rate and multishot.

(Primed) Target Cracker and Pistol Gambit increase crit damage and chance respectively and are vital for crit builds.

I also have Augur Pact for 30% damage but if you wanted to sacrifice some rate of fire, something I recommend on bullet hoses, Creeping Bullseye will provide 200% crit chance with a -10% rate of fire.

It may be more beneficial to keep Augur Pact and swap Pistol Gambir for it, but that's entirely on what you want.

The final two slots are for elements, in this case, Convulsion and Heated Charge for radiation damage.

Status builds are harder and, imo, flawed because generallt you wont keep enemies around long enough for the statuses to do a whole lot. Unless you're nekros using that slash for desecration reasons.

In fact, the closest to a status build I coukd find me having was my Zarr. My Zarr isn't a particularly good tatus build because it's closer to a hyrid. Opening warframe uilder I put together a simple status buikd which can be used as a nice and quick template.

Simply put:

Damage (Serration is a must, Heavy Caliber if you accethe accuracy penalty)

Multishot

Hammershot for crit damage and status chance.

Elements. Element come in 2 forms, the silve mkds which are just status damage or gold ones with less status damage (30%) but come with status chance.

You could put the two variants on the same build, using positioning to keep the combined element. Rhis should give you decent status numbers but I dont usually make status builds.

It occurred to me that I never got around to sharing the mods I made to my Nerf Hammershot blaster. I found the print files at Thingiverse.com. I first upgraded the cylinder to hold seven darts. Next, I added the simple barrel, which is completely about aesthetics. It has no practical purpose but it looks cool. I printed both using PLA+, which is fine as long as I never leave it in the sun. PLA+ is easy to work with but PETG is stronger and has a higher tolerance to heat. PETG has been a pain to work with, it is like working with chewing gum. Paul: well i dealt the final blow to Sheldon, which felt awesome. my favorite memory has to be when i escaped from Smash because it was nuts. My weapons setup is simply my trusted rusty hammershots. sometimes one hammershot and a sword if there are a lot of zombies. Host: now what if this were an actual apocalypse? Paul: if it was an actual zombie apocalypse, i'd hole up in a gym. its a bunch of snacks and smoothies, but most of all i would set up some treadmills in front of the entrance so if the zombies tried to get in they are going right back out.
