Gale listens, his expression screaming his sheer captivation. It's more personal than he cares for, echoing too plainly his too-raw heart, and silently, he thanks the ambient lighting rippled soft and golden; to it, he can almost believed his heart's not seen. But unfortunately, being subtle was not a Dekarios art. Still, he gathers his bravery, walking forward in the babbling cafe, the piano inside it crooning to her fingers--something soft, somber, and so, so grey.
"I've heard my ample share of frightfully inspired if not misguided attempts at Chopin," he starts by greeting, "but in one short evening, you've cast them all far from mind." Managing to pitter on those chords of soul... "I'm inclined to believe that piece was an original. Still in the works, discovering itself, and all the rawer for it." Right? He looks at her, feeling suddenly several emerging things: first, too daring; then entirely too presumptuous; before last but not least, all sparking nerves. Smiling, though, Gale holds firm, peculating coffee trickling behind them. He walks up to the piano, his own fingers watching her fingers dust the keys. A song of yearning... And maybe ache. "It's a lovely rhythm. Should you be at all amenable, might I suggest a chord to consider?"/ @kuroyrii ♡'d.

The Intersection of Expressionism in Modern Fashion and Home Wall Decoration
Tumblr media
Introduction: Art, in its myriad forms, has always been a reflection of society’s emotions and desires. One such artistic movement that emerged during the early 20th century is Expressionism. With its bold and emotive brushstrokes, Expressionist art aimed to capture the inner complexities of human emotions. In today’s modern world, we witness how various art movements influence different aspects of our lives, including fashion and home decoration trends. This essay delves into the incorporation of Expressionism into contemporary fashion choices and explores how it has found its place in innovative frame wallpapers for TVs, monitors, homes, offices, and bars.
Expressionism in Fashion: Fashion has long been regarded as a means of self-expression. It serves as a canvas upon which individuals showcase their personalities and unique identities to the world. Drawing inspiration from Expressionist art techniques allows designers to infuse garments with vibrant colors, exaggerated silhouettes, asymmetrical shapes, and chaotic patterns.
Expressionist fashion encourages individuals to embrace their innermost feelings through clothing choices that defy societal norms. These designs often evoke strong emotional responses by challenging conventional aesthetics with avant-garde concepts. From runway shows featuring abstract prints reminiscent of Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” to garments adorned with unconventional textures emulating Ernst Ludwig Kirchner’s expressive brushwork — expressionistic influences can now be seen on global catwalks.
Home Decoration Meets Expressive Brushstrokes: The desire to create visually stimulating spaces within our homes has led interior designers to experiment with diverse artistic styles like Expressionism when it comes to home decoration trends. Embracing these abstract forms adds depth and character to living spaces while evoking emotional connections between inhabitants and their surroundings.
One notable trend inspired by Expressionism is the use of bold color palettes reminiscent of artists like Wassily Kandinsky or Franz Marc who employed vivid hues to convey intense emotions. From vibrant reds symbolizing love and passion to deep blues representing tranquility, these expressive colors find their place on walls, furniture, and decorative accents.
Another way Expressionism is manifesting in modern home decoration is through the integration of abstract forms and patterns. Furniture pieces adorned with dynamic brushstroke-like designs or wallpapers featuring distorted figures echo the unrestrained energy found within Expressionist artworks. By incorporating these elements into interior design, homeowners can imbue their spaces with a sense of artistic freedom and self-expression.
Frame Wallpaper: A New Canvas for Expressionism: The rapid advancements in technology have revolutionized how we consume media, leading to a rise in the use of televisions and monitors not just for entertainment but also as design focal points within homes, offices, and bars. To elevate the visual experience further, frame wallpapers have emerged as a popular choice for enhancing these screens’ aesthetics while paying homage to various art movements like Expressionism.
By selecting frame wallpapers inspired by Expressionist art styles, individuals can transform their screens into captivating works of art. These wallpapers often feature bold brushstrokes, exaggerated shapes reminiscent of human figures or landscapes found in famous expressionistic paintings. This fusion between technology and art allows users to immerse themselves in visually stimulating environments that go beyond mere functionality.
Conclusion: Expressionism’s influence extends far beyond traditional canvas boundaries; it has permeated contemporary fashion choices and innovative approaches to home decor seamlessly. By integrating elements from one of history’s most influential art movements into our daily lives — be it through expressive fashion statements or thoughtfully designed living spaces adorned with abstract motifs — we embrace individuality while indulging in the rich tapestry of human emotions depicted by expressionistic masterpieces. As we continue evolving creatively alongside technological advancements like frame wallpapers for TVs and monitors, let us celebrate the harmonious union between past artistic endeavours and modern trends that enhance our surroundings aesthetically while allowing us to connect with our innermost selves.

Okami is a true and utter masterclass of game design. The visuals, the story, the gameplay, it’s all just fucking outstanding. And then the final boss makes it all like twice as good. God I absolutely love Okami
yeah!!! the playthrough im currently watching is reachign the end and it is really, well, fascinating how well everything in this game plays into each other, (i love the gameplay and mechanics a normal amount öuö), even if issun can be very annoyingly over tutorializing you even he ends up being a complex character you cant help but like, theres is a point at which even i struggle to put into words HOW it works so well given that alot of characters are still very stereotypical and such- especially for its time its one of the few games i would call a masterpiece, not bc its perfect (nothing is) but bc everything in it works so well despite its flaws
(not the point of this ask but bc i compared okami to tloz in a post a while back-) honestly quite a bit of tloz issues are also present in okami imo, including how female characters are treated/what roles they play, the similarly flat evil good thing (and similarly not really adressing that monsters/imps are like ... people? the orochi quest having you disguise yourself as an imp and just talk with them and help them out etc and then just going back to clobber them), time travel ..... even if it works here i just ... hate time travel (and i got a personal problem with kamiki in the past being like a copy paste of modern kamiki INCLUDING the villagers that are jsut color swapped bc 100 years is both long and also not that long and just thinking about the family dynamic is making me angry yES I CARE ABOUT THAT), some strange things that dont really matter (like kaguyas thing is so out of left field but i can squint and accept it as the fairytale(?) reference i think its meant to be, that tbh is also one of okamis strengths, how even the non sensical things are done in a way that just .. dont actually feel very questionable), theres celestial god people that are all blonde and live on a floating island (until eviiil attacked!), weird modrn tech stuff (tbh ... one of the points im a little salty about bc i have started to really dislike this darn trope by now) and probably more (the gameplay/fighting/mechanics are probably the most flawless imo)
theres also the oina though, and as much as i love them all and their designs (Oki my beloved uwu) it does remind me of the gerudo (not as bad as far as i can tell with my limited knowledge), though in okami they are not introduced nor treated as enemies or overly 'other', theres still things i would see as worth thinking about; the oina live in a harsh environment (though snow not desert), they are "half beast" (with their ability to turn into wolfes) and masked (both is cool and i like! but i do think about it), they are said to be very spiritual, their village is designed with alot of totems (and i did hear once i think that they ARE based on a minority in japan, though take that with a grain of salt), their land is the birthplace of all monsters etc- which are all things i have come to recognize are often not very nice portrayals/very stereotypical ones of minorities (i dont know whether this is the case here, but i thinking about it anyway)
im sure i am missing alot of knowledge of japanese mythology around it all too but thats what i could think of out of the blue
i love okami dearly, idk anythign about its first sequel (okamiden?) so idk what went on there and this is solely based on okami PS2 ....... cant wait to have my love for that game ruined by the next (new) sequel :)) (hopefully its not gonna be shitty but i am not hopeful for anything i used to love not being turned into a mediocre modern slopfest, by now there is not much left that i can think of fondly without having in the back of my head how it went on/what was done with it, all my favorite things seem to have a very bad track record and so i am dreading this alot)
and yet okami still works alot ALOT better than tloz (probably helped by the fact okami has considerably less titles lol), also theres nothing that beats playing as a sword wielding wolf god tbh (sword is the best weapon and you cannot change my mind!! double sword babyyyy!!)

hi! so i just read divine offerings, and i loved it to bits, i need to share my thoughts (spoiler-free!)
i had already read the first three stories, and i was more than happy to reread them. all of them were absolutely delightful. i love how you portray all of these characters, and you have such an amazing writing style - it really hooks you in. i could not stop reading!
eros and psyche are my favorite mythology couple, so you can bet i was excited for their story, and you did not disappoint in the slightest. incredible modrn retelling. i love how you used themes and elements if the original myth to create your own modern take - so fun! the premise was great, very unique, i really haven't seen something like it. and the romance. oh the romance was amazing. the chemistry between them? off the charts. and you wrote the progression of their relationship in such a believable way, what a lovely read. i feel that i should mention that you are great at setting up stakes and conflict as well, for multiple scenes i was at the edge of my seat. also. oh my goodness that twist. i did not see it coming at all and yet it made so much sense. it really caught me off guard, well-played. NEVERMIND THE ENDING!! OH MY GOD. a beautiful conclusion, and it left me so curious for the future of the characters. i was slack-jawed. you best believe that if you publish another book in this series ill be the first in line to get it because i fell in love with this world you created 😆💖
... I am crying.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your thoughts in such a sweet and kind way, this is every author's dream. This is the first review I have gotten since Divine Offerings (all four stories) was published and you couldn't have made it a better experience.
I am so incredibly happy you had fun not only with the stories you had already read and were happy to reread (❤️) but also with Eros and Psyche's story. I fell in love with both characters while writing them, and I wanted to do right by the original myth, but also fashion it into a true modern retelling, featuring today's social issues, habits and mannerisms. To hear you say I achieved that goal was such a positive note that honestly made me tear up.
I have so many plans for the Modern Myths Saga and I feel really blessed to have readers like you cheering me on and looking forward to reading more of my books and writing. There really is no greater feeling. 💞
Thanks you again, and wishing you many happy reads!

Shows and describes antique electric lights, including TV lamps and novelty lamps, and discusses the history of electric light
Twentieth-century design often coalesces with kitsch, but nowhere more fervently tham in the field of populaar lighting. In shedding light on a familiar household object with a limitless capacitu to marry flagragrant disregard for function to absurd shapes and incompatible colors, this heavily illustrated study gives popular lamp design the attention it deserves. A beacon of inspiration to many artists over the years, the modrn electric lamp seems, nevertheless, to have exceded all other artifacts in its capacity to be awful.

as of today i am officially 31
an annoying number, most of all because its prime.
in other times, older times, that would have been halfway through and that is a worrysome thought. im still not there thanks to modern medicine but still. humanity knew this ammount as a tipping point into decay.
but no. i live in the modrn age, i am undoubtedly young and i have a whole life ahead of me. this year finds me facing yet another challenge not too dissimilar from those i faced back in 2014, in 2016, and in 2020. time and again i faced those challenges and found my way through and thankfully the message is starting to stick in. i can figure my shit out, ill always find a way to land on my feet.
also this year encounters me facing yet my greatest masterpiece. jennyffer episode ten. the final episode. i have been working on the storyboard and, guys, i dont want to toot my own horn too hard here (im lying, yeah i do) but this might be the greatest work of art i have done yet. the culmination of me learning about visual storytelling and learning about animation for three decades. my thesis. the reason i was put into this world. time will tell.
