They get closer in real life but when Jayce discovers Viktor is also the guy he talks with most nights, he's not sure if it's a good or a bad thing and struggles with whether to reveal himself or not

If I knew that, I wouldn't have come." It comes out in a rush, the words stumbling over each other in his haste to get them out as quickly as possible.

Steve fights the urge to bury his head in his hands again, but part of him is glad he got it all out. Now he can only hope that Eddie still wants to talk to him, because he likes Eddie, and he may not be into the same things as him, but maybe... Steve doesn't know what he's hoping for, only that he doesn't want his night to end without at least getting Eddie's number.

Maybe they can at least be friends. Steve really needs more gay friends, ones who don't send him to a bar without telling him they have theme nights.

OR: Steve goes to his first gay bar after moving to New York with Robin and gets more than he could have hoped for.

It’s the summer of 1985 and Eddie Munson is trying to stay out of trouble for once. 

Okay, maybe he’s visiting the new mall more than strictly necessary so he can see a certain sailor at Scoops Ahoy but that’s his own damn business, thank you very much.

Imagine Eddie’s surprise when the hot jock he’s been crushing on turns out to be…kind of a good dude? Becoming friends with Steve Harrington goes against every tenet of the Munson Doctrine, but before Eddie can really get to know this new and exciting version of King Steve, he comes face to face with what’s lurking under Starcourt Mall. And emerges from the experience a lot smaller. And furrier. 

Steve Harrington has resigned himself to his fate as a babysitter to a group of middle schoolers, but when he comes across a tiny bat with a wonky wing he’s not so sure if he wants to offer up his caregiving services to the furry creature, especially not when Robin insists that it probably, maybe, definitely has rabies. Steve finds himself quickly charmed by the little thing, especially when it looks at him so intently with those brown eyes that seem weirdly familiar. 

Of course, in Hawkins, it would be weirder if there wasn’t something extra-dimensional going on.

Chapter 1 of 17 of Steddie Big Bang project 115 is now live, at 83k words total! There is angst, hurt/comfort, Eddie calling Vecna names, bed sharing, slow burn, and a happy ending.

Chapter summary:

Eddie drops into the chair across from Steve, placed out of kicking range if the guy’s legs somehow manage to get free. Out of spitting range, if Not-Steve is a spitter. Not-Steve is what Eddie’s been calling him in his head. The others keep calling him Steve even though Steve isn’t home . . . except for Dustin, who keeps snapping, ‘That. Isn’t. Steve.’

Warning for this chapter: One homophobic slur which Eddie uses to describe himself while taunting Vecna.

Warnings for the fic in general: Dissociation, Unreality, Paranoia, Implied/referenced suicidal thoughts, one self-sacrificial suicide attempt
