Some of the gifts I got for Christmas.
A Christmas decoration that lights up and plays the Peanuts theme when you press a button.
TMNT: Mutant Mayhem DVD. One of the 3 movies I went to see this year, I thought it was good, though some of the gross out humor was a bit much for me at times. ^^;.
Eternights. I already got it digitally, but wanted it physically, too, just to have it, support the devs, and free up PS4 space.
Blue Beetle Blu-ray. I heard this was good, and I'm somewhat familar with Jaime Reyes as the Blue Beetle.
Monark. I'd been meaning to get to this eventually after playing the demo.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Also been meaning to get to this. Waited until it's price dropped to something more decent before asking for it.

Do you know by any chance if you can be gay in Monark xD
I still don't know
I am not 100% sure as I just started the game today. Would be nice! But NIS doesn't seem to allow joy in any of its games with homoerotic undertones so I am doubting it. But if I find out otherwise I will let you know! I just met Shinya and I can't help but notice the subtext and music when the protagonist speaks in scenes with Dr. Hasegawa, so I feel a bit baited atm. Lol!! Along with terrified every time a Death Call goes off. Enjoying myself so far, but like I said I will see!

Monark
2 years later and I'm finally giving my thoughts on this game, LMAO...
sometimes, I forget that monark was ever a game I played... it was good/ok UNTIL... the groundhog day part... (the game forces you to play the same day like 5 times..) each time is slightly different but same shit, different people
it was awful... worst part of the game.. Another thing that I hated was that at some point, time was reversed so the bad shit never happened and only one person dies..
After chapter one, all of the murder and suicides are basically thrown under the rug, it was really weird imo... I get when time was reversed and everything, the people who caused that shit to happen originally, didn't do that in the new time line
but it was still something they did. imo, this game is pretty forgettable and I do forget about it LMAO.. it sucks because I remember being so excited for it and was disappointed during the groundhog day part... it's almost like each chapter is its own thing, rather
than being a full connected story (as far as the horrible shit the NPCs do) I sometimes give my opinions on games right after playing, but I was so done with the game that I just moved on to something else lol...
And dont get me started on the LGBT elements in this game... Its kinda bad.. All of the LGBT parts of the characters are found in the student pages your character keeps. So nothing is show in the game itself, AND THEN!!!!! Theres a trans character that gets dead named in the student page (thingy) and are even referred to as he/him rather than she/her. At least when you speak to her, the characters call her by her actual name and pronouns.
I will say, the boss themes were freaking amazing... 10/10 for the music... 7/10 for the beginning of the game.. 2/10 for the groundhog day part and idk 5/10 for the game over all... Pleiades is the best boss theme

I take back what I said about character development. Ryotaro has gone from "minding my own business" to "if you're gonna shit on the carpet, I'm gonna rub your nose in it."

A tip for players who may have gotten stumped near the end of Monark(some spoilers, so I'll put it under a readmore)
Near the end of the game, you're asked to enter a Sign to reach The Gate, which leads to the final boss. The other party members give you hints about what to do, but here's the solution:
At the top of your phone, there'll be 10 symbols that have been appearing as you progressed. These are digits for a phone number and change each playthrough. They vaguely resemble numbers(*s are the same as normal), and have to be deciphered and entered to start the endgame. There's no direct cipher in or out of the game, that I've seen, so I'll show mine and it's solution to make it easier to figure out your own.

I have a selfish translation suggestion, if only because I'm interested in what the lyrics say about the Gluttony Sinner of Monark: Gunpowder by 春猿火 / Harusaruhi. It's his boss fight music, and from what I and another person have gleaned from our own clumsy attempts at translation, it's a glimpse into Ryotaro's mindset during the game. (This might also be a not-so-secret agenda of using good music to lure others into Monark because Gunpowder is so good.)
I'm not into Monark, so I probably will be missing some context for the translation, but I can take a look at the song once I'm done with the new album, sure
