A lot of you guys liked the nose edits I made to Wesley’s sprites, so I made a simple portrait mod! It works with Custom Textures, and you can find it on Nexus here: 🌱
special thank you to @moodybidoof for extracting the portraits for me!

Sasha and Martin for the tma ask meme!
Answered here and here!But another ep that scared me mostly because of a culmination of Events was Submerged. I have a very deep phobia of water where it shouldn’t be. I mean NO ONE LIKES LEAKS, but as an example I have leaking windows, and even though they’re just drips I can barely exist in the next room knowing that it’s HAPPENING. Same if it’s just a faucet that’s leaky. Almost every dream I have has settings that are flooded or water damaged. It’s just a whole thing.So I have leaky windows in the apartment I live in now, and it sounds like this when it rains, and thus I have a newfound dread of heavy rain I didn’t have before. And that episode came out around the time when there were unusually heavy rains happening all the time. Flash flood warnings, water just pouring into subways, all that. I was actually listening to it during one of those torrential rains, by coincidence. So I was just primed to be very freaked out by it.

What did you think of Mother!, out of curiosity?
loved every second of it. was pinned to the couch for one hundred and twenty one minutes of pure molten paladin fury. then i looked up what aronofsky said the movie was about, laughed heartily and well, and went about my business.

Obviously I have to ask about Star Wars for the discourse thing lol
There is a looooot of Star Wars discourse that I can not stand.  Rather than focus on all of it (there is SO MUCH), I will just say that one of the main ones that really gets me is the argument that by having the main villain of the ST play a major role in the movie… where he is the main villain…. Rian was trying to make Kylo sympathetic/something less than a villain.
There are just countless posts saying “Rian probably wanted us to think Kylo wasn’t a terrible person BUT (lists things that were overt in TLJ, or from the books Rian himself edited like Bloodline, actual main text that displays that Kylo is a terrible person - almost as if his arc in TLJ was about how no one was forcing him to make the choices he was, as if even though he is torn up about it that doesn’t change the fact that he keeps making the bad choice, as if the movie showed us him killing Snoke so there is no one left to blame, and yet he STILL chooses to stay and lead the First Order rather than go for any form of redemption.. oh wait THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT THE MOVIE SHOWED US).”
I mean there is a lot about how the fandom latched onto a few people’s hate of Rian and then warped the movie around that, claiming he wanted Kylo to be something other than the villain when… that movie was so restlessly damning of him, like TFA pushed a ~poor manipulated Kylo~ narrative and then TLJ tore that narrative to shreds, but alas even talking about that is impossible because everyone on here just wants to send this man death threats, and have done so to such an intensity that LucasFilm changed all their policies so we no longer can know anything about what is coming to shield the people involved with them from the never ending hate everyone involved with TLJ got.
Note: Literally the only reason this is my least favorite Star Wars discourse, and “Anakin did nothing wrong and the Jedi were evil/abusive/terribad” isn’t, is because this discourse involves death threats to a real person. If it wasn’t for that, the people who read all kinds of malicious stuff into the Jedi’s actions would be getting the #1 worst spot on my list.

@moodybidoof
  @moodybidoof  It’s over! Damn,...
Ooooh she’s so interesting, her choices are so different from what I gravitated towards. Did her faith falter or change at all when she found out about the origin of the gods? And what’s her opinion on animancy?
In the context of the ending, how fast it all actually goes, I think it fanned the flames of her devotion more than anything; she had just had intimate discussions with the gods, no least of which was Ondra in her very own Abbey, so there was no way she’d believe Iovara’s accusations. She persevered through in order to put an end to Thaos, Woedica’s ploy and the stolen souls.
I think it took her more time afterwards to make sense of and accept the revelations. Through Iovara, she learned that what lead her, 2000 years ago, to betray her to the Inquisition was the unraveling of everything she believed in at the time; and the same thing was happening again. I think she’d have impulsively turned her chapel in Caed Nua into an Ondrite temple, and spent a lot of time wavering between the indignation of the lie (she’s quite honest), the necessity she feels for faith, and her love for her goddess, along with her desire to move on and put this behind her.
Ultimately, she did renew her faith and decided that the origins of the gods don’t matter as much as what they do now. She believes deeply that they’re “good” as a philosopher would use that word, but that they can and do make mistakes.
She distrusts animancers; she was sympathetic to them at first but Brackenbury disgusted her profoundly. Even if it ended being Thaos’ manipulation, she saw the ugliness of how far they were willing to go. Given what she herself was led to do to souls, she’s somewhat of a hypocrite about it. Animancy in itself isn’t anything wrong in her mind but she believes animancers need absolute supervision.

moodybidoof replied to your post: Cis people stop uncritically supporting...
If you don’t mind explaining, what’s her deal?
She’s a transmedicalist. Her videos have made it clear over and over that she believes that trans people are not valid if they don’t subscribe to her specific views of what dysphoria is. In her ‘Pronouns’ video she outright said that trans women don’t count as women if they aren’t treated as cis women by society (as in, if they don’t pass). Tons of trans women have called her out on spreading around damaging ideas about transness but none of her cis followers are at all critical of what she’s saying, so she gets passed around LeftTube and liberal internet magazines as an authority on trans issues.

I thought you should know that the d&d campaign I'm joining is going to be inspired by Going to Weather - just, like, with magic lol. The group voted on a "goth seafaring adventure" and our DM immediately mentioned your comic and said she wanted to have similar aesthetics in our own coastal area. She's a huge fan!
Oooh THIS IS DELIGHTFUL TO KNOW!I appreciate a Goth Seafaring Adventure and I AM HONORED.

What does David think of Paladin Danse and the Brotherhood of Steel? It never occurred to me before but it must be incredibly jarring to see a group tromping around dressed like the soldiers you fought with
So David hasn’t actually met Danse yet, and while it was hard to miss the Prydwen going overhead, he hasn’t investigated it yet. Though the logistician in him immediately saw the utility of an airship that served an a carrier for Vertibirds. I believe David would respect Danse and the other BoS as soldiers and be drawn to them out of nostalgia and the desire for some familiar structure in this new world. At first too he would like them and feel vindicated that a military styled organization was not just surviving but thriving in the post-apocalyptic world. In the end though I think David would be disillusioned with the current BoS as they contain the same flawed outlook that the military and governments did which lead to the Great War. Their immediate desire for resources leading them to take what the want by force rather then cooperate and compromise. he saw it in the occupation of Mexico and the annexation of Canada, and he sees it in the BoS. As flawed as he saw the Army in his own time he still felt they were acting to protect the civilian population, and he doesn’t see that at all with the BOS who seem only to be out for themselves and other humans, which feels fer wrong to him who was raised on America being for everyone. In the end he wants to like them, but they resemble too much the problems that lead to this hellscape and not enough the promise of America he fought for.

Dragon Age for the fandom meme
01. The first character I fell in love with: Leliana02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sera. Before I started Inquisition, the fandom made me think I would hate her. I really really don’t.03. The character I’d slap: Help I do not know who I want to slap more, Solas or Cullen.04. Who are my 3 favorite characters.: Leliana, Merrill, ahhhhh picking just one for the third is so hard T_T I’ve been staring at this for almost half an hour now not sure who to put here D: I LOVE ALL MY CHILDREN AHHHHHHH05. What are my 3 favorite pairings.: Hero of Ferelden x Leliana, Merrill x Hawke, Josephine x Cassandra06. Which character you’re most like.: None of them I hope, I mean everyone is such a disaster.07. The coolest thing about the canon: How immersive it is, how the characters are so vivid and real it sells the world and its political state. The way the second game is a story in a story, and we will never know how much Varric was making up and how much actually happened, even when you make sure to recreate your world state for the third game. I love also how characters from past games are still around later on, it makes each story feel that much more connected when you see your old friends again. Honestly really just the characters in general.
