I honestly don't think we really have "Moonlight Cheating". Looks like Alan and Wen were happy together at some point. Then it faded. They are still living together because of the cost, since sharing an apartment is more convenient. Alan still loves Wen. He on the other hand found something warm in Jim's diner what he lacked in his own house.

It's a fucked up situation when you want to move on but you can't. It really is not fair for all of the parties involved. Like you only need Gaipa in this whole mess 🙃

I love Heart and Li Ming together. I know we just wait for the confrontation with Heart's parents.. it might sting a little.

When Jim was talking about this movie being bittersweet, it was so on point. Moonlight Chicken is a bittersweet story too. They make their story very realistic, you have warm and happy moments and those not so fun ones.

And omg the CINEMATOGRAPHY! it's so beautiful!! Can anyone please make a gif set of Li Ming and Heart hand touching in bed? Like this scene was done so nice. Camera angles, lighting, colours, movement, music!

I have a once a week time for Gay Chicken and I love to sit with hot tea and soft blanket watching two episodes in a row.

I'm just so amazed by this show. I can't even explain how I feel right now.

As today is the last MSP frigay, I'm feeling a lot emotional and wanted to thank all the lovely lovely people who's posts made watching this each week very very enjoyable.

It's a heartfelt thanks from me to all of you on the msp tag for posting your thoughts and ramblings out for us to enjoy and made the 10 weeks (i started watching a few days before ep3 aired) waiting for each new episode bearable.

Special shout-out to @butdotheykiss who I befriended because of both of us watching MSP and started talking to each other because of one chain of comments on someone else's post where they were worried about what the episode would entail and i responded. You've been a constant friend through all these weeks with both of us yelling at each other over shows we watch.

Due to us being in opposite timezones, I've enjoyed seeing your ramblings about the episode when i wake up and you have to bear me yelling about the show as it airs even when you're not able to watch it until later.

I've really enjoyed bonding with you over all of fandom ramblings, over you tolerating all of my LoL and study ramblings and rants. And us cooing over first, fourth and gemini and so many of the other actors we like. Hope we remain friends for a long time even after MSP ends, love ya 😘

Also I'll take this chance to thank those whose posts I've enjoyed reading all these weeks for msp and now moonlight chicken (I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting many of you, because I'm just that bad at remembering urls) but it's to everyone who posts on the msp and mlc tags y'all made my dash awesome

An Analysis of the Timeline of Moonlight Chicken

In the form a (bad) scientific study.

*im not a scientist

Hypothesis:

Each episode of Moonlight Chicken takes place a month apart or over the course of a month.

Evidence:

EP1 was in September 2022 as we learn via beercan calendar that Jim and Wen meet on the 10th.

EP2 is likely in October seeing as Wen and his coworkers were in a full 911 panic over setting up a Halloween display.

EP3 takes place during Loy Krathong which likes to jump around in the month but was November 8th last year.

Predictions:

EP4 and EP5 will cover December and January respectively.

EP6 would bring us up to the present and end the series in February 2023 which lines up with the calendar in Wen and Alan’s place when they fight/break up in the trailer.

Disclaimer and Acknowledgment of Possible Bias:

The year on the February calendar is out of focus and could say 22 or 23 so a flashback may be possible, but I personally doubt it as it seems unlikely this fight would have happened so long in the past as to still be relevant.

Oh-Aew: "Oh-aew is best known in 'I told sunset about you', but his gender-envy causing self really blossomed in 'Last Twilight in Phuket' and 'I promised you the moon'. The iconic red hair, the heart cut-out sweater in ep4, the oversized button-up in ep3, the blazer and the suit in ep5... He has so many iconic looks and he pulls them off all in his own androgynous way. Besides the way he dresses, he also is unapologetic and confident in who he is, which at the end of the day is what truly inspires gender envy. And he's an artist too!!"

Gaipa: "I love being a woman, but there is nothing so delicious as the notion of being a sexy man in a white tank top and gold chain. Gaipa looks so masculine and natural here. To me this look has an aura of freedom, confidence and sexiness that I just feel like I’ve never felt as a fem."

Iisten if I'd followed moonlight chicken each week and at the end of ep3 wen goes from the temple with jim to back home where alan is sleeping in his bed I'd stare at the wall for the next seven days I'd shutdown windows noise and all and ask someone to wake me up when the next ep drops and I can have some answers wouldn't even call in sick to work if anyone asked I'd just say it be like that sometimes and shrug

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH LIZ ok i KNOW you haven't seen bad buddy 😭 but i haven't moved on from the rooftop scene ep5 4/4!!! the fight "mani di" leading up *the* kiss and then pran leaving pat there?????? died dead rip me 🙏 idk what p'aof puts in this closing scenes of each episode but special mention to the guitar-corridor scene at the end of ep3, the sleepover at the end of ep4, the bet by the boat of ep6, THE "YOUR FACE HAS TAKEN OVER MY HEART" for the audition at the end of ep7, the ep10 rooftop scene and obviously "pran it's not a porno". i am so not normal about this show!!!!

another all time favourite is the scene in gaya sa pelikula where Karl & Vlad have their first kiss with Ben&Ben playing and then they talk about their queerness and childhood and parents and hopes and dreams. contrary to popular opinion but i loved the ending of the show so much! both karl and vlad had so much growing up to do and it was really right person wrong time with them

then of course there is every scene with li ming (& heart) in moonlight chicken but especially the scene in which li ming shares a beer with jim after the funeral and they wholeheartedly and candidly for the first time in the show!!!

AND my most beloved scene in triage when Tinn & Tol kiss for the first time in the loop where ~spoilers~ they kill tinn 🤡 there's so much softness in that scene especially the conversation they were having before i cried while watching it

yeah im not gonna stop listing all the scenes if i don't stop here 😭
