• An hourglass-like device that works like a Slider bubble, from Mystic Anon: “For an hour of contained time, open and flip the hourglass within. Anyone within 3 meters of the orb joins you in time beyond time. When the hourglass empties, it resumes from when you left off as though nothing happened. It takes a week to recharge, and the sands will glow gold once more when ready."

• Shadow Blade:

Shadow Man's Special Weapon. It is a a large shuriken (throwing star) that shrinks into a holding device when not in use. The device can be worn as a gauntlet, or integrated into pre-existing armor. (From Dr. Wily’s World Domination Event.)

• TM W24 Shadow Blade:

Shadow Man's Special Weapon. The user throws a shuriken, dealing damage, which then returns to the user on the second turn, dealing damage to the target again. (From Dr. Wily’s World Domination Event.)

• A reverse-voodoo plush of Em.

• A hand-mirror that shows your Shadow or Persona!

• A takama, an Alethi garment that is effectively the same thing as a kilt.

• My glasses, gold-plated mixed-metal frames with flat lenses. I don’t necessarily need these anymore, but I like wearing them.

• A small amount of various sorts of jewellery, such as hair-combs, hair-pins, necklaces, brooches, bracelets, and rings. Garnet is a running theme in pieces with gemstones.

• Some minor articles of clothing like gloves and scarves, some for humans, some for Pokemon. Several of such items are from the Café et Couturière Violet.

• Various sorts of shoes, sandals, and boots. I particularly like wearing a pair of boots that I bartered off of a former scout-turned-bridgeman. I wonder if he’s still wearing the ones I gave him…

• Work uniforms issued by the Nimbasa City Rail Depot.

• Wayne’s Lucky Hat.

• “Cryptic Unown O,” from a certain Piplup from the Thunder Continent.

Hello! Sorry about the roughness of my blog, I mostly just used this one for lurking before I ever thought to get in on anything.

I’m Shallahi, I’m… around… Nanish-er, that’s 20 years old, I think? (Years, months, days, and hours are different where I’m from.) I’m human, Thaylen/Alethi, but I have longer eyebrows than most half-Thayleni. (Yes, long eyebrows is a weird thing here. I tend to wear them over my ears, if that’s a good image to use as a metric.) I’m from Kharbranth, also known as the City of Bells. I’m a Knight Radiant (something like a “Champion” for a smaller, less powerful being. I’m of the Sixth Order, a Lightweaver), a Worldhopper (a “Faller” with more agency in where they go, basically), a collector of stories and knowledge and a lover of food and adventure!

I use she/her, and by your standards of gender, I would be transfeminine. (I transitioned by accidentally taking in an entire lamp’s worth of Stormlight, so no need to worry about HRT access, thank goodness. It’s such a shame that others can’t just breathe in magic and—poof! Be properly aligned to their Spiritual aspect.)

I may say words that don’t make sense to you, or don’t fit in the context you’d use them in, that’s just a consequence of the mixing of my own vocabulary and knowledge that I took with me here, me learning new words and assuming their meaning, and the Connection tricks I use to help learn new languages.

I said I was a Worldhopper earlier; don’t worry, while yes I might steal away to Scadarial or elsewhere for a bit, I’m making this world with weak storms, static grass, and colourful fluffy creatures my home. Like Shinovar but with more colour and less ksenophobia!

Now for you, Snowflake!

Ah! I am called “Snowflake” or “Snowy,” (She/Her) and I am a Patternspren or Crypticspren. A spren is… mmmm… a small fragment of a God. Not your gods, mind you. I am bonded to Shallahi, who you have already heard from. This world is strange to us. There is no Shadesmar, no Cognitive Realm that we could find. This means that I am just a Pattern on a dress or other form of clothing. I am dictating my words to Shallahi. Mmm… unfeminine. (SH: Don’t listen to that stupid old book, it’s full of lies.) I like lies. You know this. (SH: Then why let those lies dictate your life?) Mmm… I am called Snowflake because that is how my Pattern looks. This is everything I can think to say.

Polly is a healer’s apprentice in a sleepy village, where the most exciting thing in her life is sneaking into the forest with her best friend Jack, an exiled fairy with no magic to his name. But when they find an injured fairy solder in the woods, they set off beyond the veil into a world of magic and danger to stop the wicked Night King before he can cover the world in darkness forever.

MAJOR CHARACTERS:

Polly: A mortal girl from a small village, Polly is a healer's apprentice with more heart than brain, and not even the muscles to back it up. She is eager to do the right thing, even if it means leaving her home and everything she knows behind, and finding out just how big the world truly is.

Jack: Exiled from the fairy world as a boy, Jack now lives in an abandoned mill in the woods outside Polly's village, minding his own business and showing her small magics found in the woods. He's not the least bit thrilled about going back beyond the veil, but he's not about to let Polly go off into the woods with no-one but a wounded fairy at her side.

Sylvie: A stoic warrior from the Day Court able to transform into a white Elk. Sylvie was on her way back to the court before Night Court fairies struck her down with poisonous arrows. Unable to safely adventure on her own, Sylvie reluctantly lets Jack and Polly accompany her back. She's a woman of duty and action, and not one for conversation, smiles, or fun.

Marius: Polly's white house cat who gained sentience after being caught in the crossfire of one of Sylvie's spells. Ostensibly a rat catcher, Marius is having just the worst time, being away from hearth, home, and his daily treat of salted minnows by the fire.

MINOR CHARACTERS:

Clodagh: Polly's mother, and the village healer.

The Day King: The fairy king of the Day Court. He considers Sylvie one of his best friends and most trusted companions.

The Night King: An ancient being who used to have endless power once the sun went down. Now that people have mastered fire, his power is waning, and he's determined to blanket the word in darkness again.

Mor: A fairy princess, and a distant relation to the Day King. A sweet, if slightly bloodthirsty, girl who likes frilly dresses and having fun.
