Y'all remember that MCYT PJO au I asked for help with awhile ago? WELL HERE'S THE CABINS AND MY EXPLINATIONS BEHIND THEM!!
#1 Zeus Cabin: Jimmy, Joel Jimmy: He's a Zeus kid, but everyone somehow forgets about it. Joel: He's competitive and strong. Also, because Jimmy is his half brother through godly parent, i get to make a fun bit about him dating Lizzie. And one of his origins in Afterlife SMP was a thunderborn
#2 Hera Cabin: Scott Scott: Scott's whole thing is loyalty. Hera is the goddess of marriage and is insanely loyal to Zeus. However, I feel like Hera should get at least one affair. So now Scott can use peacocks as weapons.
#3 Poseidon Cabin: Skizz Skizz: Poseidon kids tend to be really, really loyal to a fault and heroic, both qualities I think Skizz possesses.
#4 Demeter Cabin: Sausage, Shelby, Bdubs, Stress Sausage: This man built Sanctuary in a jungle and has flowers in his hair. He sells wood. There is no other place to put him. Shelby: Mushroom gnome, spooky mangrove witch, powerful storm witch, i need not continue. Bdubs: Moss man. Stress: SHE HAS FLOWERS
#5 Ares Cabin: Martyn, False Martyn: His planet is Mars, which is the roman version of Ares. He ended Limited Life in such a violent way, i can't help it. He was also red for the majority of Secret Life. False: I just feel like False should get to kill people more often.
#6 Athena Cabin: Grian, Pix, Owen, Xisuma Grian: This sums it up pretty well
Tumblr media
Pix: Smart man. Archeologist and definitely a nerd. I wanna see him skipping out on training just so he can read history books. Owen: He likes to explore and discover new things in Pirates. In Rats, he's a tinkerer. In New Life, he's an explorer who wants to study hybrids. In Empires, he's a Llama who's curious about how humans work. Just a very curious character overall. Xisuma: Admin. I'm not elaborating.
#7 Apollo Cabin: Gem, Oli, Lyarrah Gem: She is an Apollo kid because of her Empire in S2. She's the sunlight princess. Apollo kid. Oli: MUSIC. MAN. Lyarrah: She writes the captions for the hermitcraft recap.
#8 Artemis Cabin: Pearl Pearl: Y'know, Artemis could've just like... had a kid, even though she took that oath. It wouldn't even have to be with a guy. Gods can change to whatever gender they want. Anyway, Pearl gets to be an Artemis kid because her symbolism is moon, she loves dogs, and will commit murder and hunt at night.
#9 Hephaestus Cabin: Doc, Mumbo, Tango, Impulse, Cub, Zedaph, Fwhip, Iskall Doc: Redstone Mumbo: Redstone Tango: Redstone Impulse: Redstone Cub: Redstone Zedaph: Redstone Fwhip: Redstone AND has a red scarf (don't ask me how that's relevant) Iskall: Redstone
#10 Aphrodite Cabin: Keralis Keralis: Okay, I don't know why, but Keralis gives me the vibes of a very charming person. His voice is nice to listen to, so imagine how useful it'd be if I gave him charm speak.
#11 Hermes Cabin: Scar, Etho, Joe Scar: Trader Scar, scammer extraordinar. Etho: All i must say is Shady-E's. I get "jack-of-all-trades, master of none, often better than master of one" vibes from him. He's funny, he's mischievous, it just works. Joe: Comedy man. Excellent delivery. And, yet again, i look at this man and go "That right there is a multi-talented man with a habit for mischief."
#12 Dionysus Cabin: Joey, Beef Joey: *points at his season one empires theme* i need not say more Beef: Idk, food. I don't really have a reason. I don't know too much about Beef.
#13 Hades Cabin: Zloy Zloy: Zombie man. He writes the Hermitcraft recaps in the dark at 2am with nothing but pure spite.
#14 Iris Cabin: Katherine Katherine: SHE. HAS. COLORS. and also I couldn't put her in Demeter cabin because Shelby is already there and i am NOT excluding Nature Wives from this au
#15 Hypnos Cabin: Bigb, XB, Wels Bigb: Sleepy stuff, right? WRONG. Gaslight. Go in everyones dreams, make fake prophecies, peace out, and cause chaos. XB: I look at his fanon design, I see an alien, and I go "aha he sleeps" Wels: This guy (@dingdinghq) said so and i completely agree. Something about sleeping in S6.
#16 Nemesis Cabin: Edit: wels not here no more
#17 Nike Cabin: Ren Ren: VICTORY. I don't know much about Ren's story in the Life Series, but I look at this man and see someone who has won a lot.
#18 Hebe Cabin:
#19 Tyche Cabin: TFC TFC: Man goes mining and gets really lucky. That's it.
#20 Hecate Cabin: Lizzie, Cleo, Jevin Lizzie: Witchy vibes. Also, Arson. Cleo: Arson. She uses her magic for Arson. Jevin: He's a magic slime. Also, Arson. All Hecate kids love Arson.

Season 9 of Hermitcraft is a scifi fantasy anime
and Im gonna prove it. Really long ramble about the theme for this season and looking at it from a world building perspective. Im gonna look at s9 through the lens of it being a scripted show.
First, we must look at season 8. It was also a scifi fantasy. But focused more on scifi with the moon plot. The hermits having crashed landed on the planet and started colonizing it as their own for survival. But then tragedy struck, and they had to evacuate as the moon came crashing down. Destroying the world they had tried to make their home.
Now season 9. Those same hermits crash land on a new planet. Uniting together to survive, but soon enough all separate to start their lives.
(Also, I would like to propose my headcanon that some of the Hermits came from this planet before. That season 8 was a group from this planet that wanted to go colonize the stars. But it messed up, so now they are back home.)
As they explore the land, they discover ancient ruins and cities and come across the races of people who already inhabit the planet.
Bdubs builds represent the ancient past. Long ago was a might race that build grand structures and games. But something happened so all that remains are ruins. But! People have taken over the ruins, repurposing them, making a life in the rubble. Its low tech scrounger scifi. The people living here have to make the most of what little they have. Bdubs himself is a god who has lived here to see all of history. He once had a moon cult in his name. For he is the god of dreams, represented by moons and moss.
He believed being a god should give him a divine right to crown a king. But we saw how well that turned out.
Tango also represents the past. His dark ice castle maze looking ancient and magical. Tango did the ancient ogre cave last season as well. So Im headcanoning that his character is very old as well. Maybe not a god, but certainly an immortal with strong magic. His immortality making him bored and want to create games and prizes for people.
With Tango and many of the others, we see redstone as a sort of tech magic.
Xisuma is also ancient. A bone mage from the ancient times. Living in the skeleton of a long dead elder god. Strong in the ways of redstone tech magic. His immortality has made him want a simple life, one out of conflict and just doing things for fun. His builds are mostly tech machines, but he his tower and bones can represent the "ancient" builds.
Grian also represents the past. And time as a concept. His builds this season all showcase changes in time. Changes in building styles. He represents how the civilizations of the planet would once have lived like. The different stages of the Entity. How rift technology has affected people. His character also represents rifts in time. Not showing up all the time. But when he does its during the big impact parts of history. Matching his watcher lore. I headcanon that his Life series is a virtual reality helmet game he designs and him and his friends all play and broadcast online.
Gem represents the elves. Elves are immortal ,but she is very young. And the newly appointed Empress. Her guardian farm shows and base location show that the Elves have a strong connection and ownership to the Sea.
Scar is also an elf. A very old elf. The first true business tycoon among his people. First, he created the cookie empire. Then, the shipping empire. Elves having ownership of the ocean means he had a full monopoly of shipping trades. Making him incredibly wealthy. He traveled to s8 because he wanted to try on another planet. And did very well with his traveling salemen gig. But coming home, he decided to build a new empire. A media empire. Scarland is his new venture. Along with using his immortality to be a superhero. As his alter ego Hotman. (He also, conviently, makes money off the sales of Hotguy movies and merch.)
Impulse, of course, represents the dwarves. Who have long lived below the surface. In (somewhat) harmony with the elves. The dwarves are also masters at redstone tech magic and Impulse himself is a very successful business man. Owning what is essentially dwarven Walmart.
Pearl represents aliens. Her build is of an alien race who have at some point started colonizing the planet. Terraforming it as they go. Changing the landscape to match the planet they left behind. Pearl's character herself is an undercover agent researching the aliens. Her alter ego is a friendly trash lady. (Since Pearl is represented as moths and the moon. I headcanon she is actually part of the alien race. She just doesn't know it yet herself. She glamored herself to look human but lost her memory. She isn't just any alien, tho. She is also a goddess. But while Bdubs is the god of this planet. She is the god of another (Empires, of course).
In lore, I imagine that the Elves and Dwarves have been on edge with the aliens. And they have a shaky alliance. The aliens now having terrformed so much that they are right on each others doorsteps.
Cleo represents some Atlantean race. I dont know if it's in ruins now or still exists. She, of course, is a gorgan and, on the more fantasy side of the server.
Rendog and Doc both represent corporations who have who have come from space to colonize.
Doc with his world eater and mega farms. He is a scientist who left the Octogan corp and is now trying to kickstart his own venture. His goal is to make everything solarpunk. And besides tearing a literal whole out of the earth, try to be as eco-friendly as possible. His tomato garden being his prized joy.
Rendog has started GIGACORP. And is supposed to be starting up that base of operations. But he got distracted for a while by trying to control the economy and be king. But now that Thats over, he can focus on expanding for Gigacorp.
I imagine, in lore, that the new corps would have a hard time fitting in. People being uncomfortable with outsiders coming in and taking over so much land so quickly.
Keralis represents humans who fell from the stars. His base ties in so nicely to Bdubs. Because they both show humans scrounging for resources to stay afloat. Humans arnt from here, but they are trying to coexist best they can.
Mumbo is a human. But he's more like a man out of time. His character keeps popping in and out of reality and is very disjointed from the storyline. Its like he i did some technology and just poofed away and back on accident.
Zedaph is also human. He is the scientist from last season. Who has enough money that he can now live his life as an eccentric collector.
The end of the Rendog King arc means a new era for the world. It was one that was under unfair rule. The economy in shambles. But now that things are back to normal, life is coming back to the server.
In the form of games!
It had to be noted how impactful Beef's card game has been. So many people love it. And its really kickstarted activity again. People are collabing again!
So, in lore, Beef represents a new card game that is sweeping the world. Possibly a Yugio style one, in terms of scale and popularity, at least. Turning our sci-fi anime into a card game anime!
Etho is building a race track. Adding to the in-world ferver with games. His character fell to the planet in his escape shuttle later than everyone else. But his is now thriving, making a road system and race tracks. (And Bdubs and him might make another horse race track.)
Scar had the charity event, of course. Which also has added many games to the server. And Bdubs has a few games out in the wild. Xisuma has the bone cave elytra challenge. And Cub's Total Choas. Lots of games this season!
So! Thats where the current season sits. I know I missed a lot of people. But I dont watch everyone and some people dont play as often so its harder to say what their place in the story is. Like Cub. I think he also represents humans scrounging and building among ruins. But I dont watch his eps as often.
Anywho. Thats my rundown and lore analysis for season 9! Its pretty exciting all put together. I can totally picture how cool a cartoon set in this world would be. (Makes me want to write a story set in this world.)
What do y'all think?

Fic where the Hermits find a new world for season 10 of Hermitcraft only to find a war torn and mostly destroyed civilization that seems to have been abandoned centuries before.
At first, Renbob and Goatman detect mild amounts of radiation on the surface, but quickly determine it’s only within a small portion of the otherwise massive landscape.
The Hermits disembark and quickly discover that the once thought to be uninhabited land is filled with old relics of a bygone civilization. A large crater sits filled with moss and retaken by the Mother Earth around it. A grave sits nearby, it’s presumably once blue hue now faded and white from the sun, the writing long since eroded away.
In the snowy north, there’s a little cottage surrounded by a deep forest that—if the Hermits find themselves lost in it—seems to speak to them in a woman’s voice, guiding them home.
In the desert there’s a massive pyramid to some strange, green-clad god that none of the Hermits recognize.
There’s a village in a forest made of giant mushrooms the size of houses, the wooden structures worn away decades ago. One of the Hermits accidentally falls into a basement with books and faded posters, the writing lost to the elements.
There’s a city in a smaller desert, out of place and strikingly man made. A space needle stands tall among the broken down buildings, it’s white walls eroded by sand. The lights no longer blink, but the name of the ancient place is clear. Las Nevadas.
The nether is explored, most of the fortresses stripped of resources, though the blazes and piglins now thrive without whoever had been hunting them. Most of the passageways had been melted or grown over by warped vines, but there are still a few flickering portals that some of the braver Hermits travel through, curious as to see what’s on the other side.
Then there’s the giant crater where most of the radiation still lingers, not enough to kill but dangerous nonetheless. Nothing remains, everything within a certain radius blasted to smooth glass. Something bad happened here, and the inhabitants of this land were clearly fighting some war. A war that ended badly for everyone.
The Hermits make their home in this land, slowly uncovering its history and realizing that there were others like them, that like Empires and Hermitcraft, there was another SMP.

Horizon to Horizon AU Masterpost!
(And some Saints of Eyes and Ears AU too!)
*this is a work in progress, updates will occur sporadically as I find motivation in drawers and under my bed*
A guide to my fantasy worldbuilding alternate universe built around the Hermitcraft, Empires, Evolution, and Life Series SMPs.
Questions are always welcome, and my ask box is open!
The elevator pitch:
The sun rises, and the moon rises, and the sun sets, and the moon sets, all between the Four Horizons of the world. One to each cardinal direction, and each with it’s own continent: Equinox to the North, Solstice to the south. Sunrise to the East, Sunset to the West. Civilizations rule the Land of the Sunrise, the Birthplace of Day and Night. Empires rule the Land of the Sunset, the Resting Place of Day and Night. Hermits and Emperors make peace and war, trade and explore, live and die and make merry in this First Dimension. The Second, the Nether Below, and the Third, the End Above, are lands of danger ripe for discovery. The lands to the north and south, however… who knows what’s over there, leagues past the vanishing point of plain sight?
More in-depth stuff below the cut! Fair warning, ‘tis very long.
What is the Horizon to Horizon AU?
The Horizon to Horizon AU, or more simply Horizons AU, is an alternate universe fusion containing the characters within the Hermitcraft SMP, Empires SMP, and Evolution, or Evo SMP. It is a high-to-mid fantasy setting, with some sci-fi elements when it comes to redstone.
Fics set in this au, in-universe chronological order:
- Among the mountains of everlong, a story about the Stronghold War (3,451 words, unfinished, on hiatus)
- Cracking like a dry branch in a westward wind, a story about newcomers and old debts (24,980 words, finished!)
- A kindling, of sorts, fluff and banter and all that jazz (3,423 words, unfinished)
- Legend has it that the moss grows on the north side of the trees, or, 2023 Hermittober Chapters, a story about crime and conspiracy (12,875 words, finished but I haven’t uploaded them all yet)
- Give me back my heart, you wingless thing, a story about prophecies and past tragedies (25,025 words, unfinished, a good ways along, currently working on this one)
- We’ll sing a song of days gone by, a story about the forgotten history that ties Horizons to the Saints of Eyes and Ears (unpublished, hammering it out in private at the moment)
Who’s who in this universe?
Between the Horizons, there are two major groups: the Hermits of the Sunrise, and the Emperors of the Sunset. This AU was made during Season 9 of Hermitcraft and Season 2 of Empires, and more specifically was born from a question that came into my mind during the crossover event: What would happen if the Hermits were tasked with ruling nations, like Emperors?
The emperors are pretty much doing the same thing they usually do: ruling empires. But the hermits are split into two main camps: those active in the crossover, who I arbitrarily chose to rule their own civilizations (as having a civilization for each hermit would be… some nonsense), and those not active in the crossover, who live among the civilizations, but do not rule. A full list of Hermits and who they are in alphabetical order follows:
- BdoubleO: The Lord Bee Double Oh of the Moss Throne, moss-faerie, ruler of Livingstone
- cubfan135: The Sovereign Cub Fan Voidstars of the Red Rock Crown, half-vex infected with sculk, ruler of Climbing Spires

- Shubble: The Great Librarían Shubble Shade-Stander of the Copper Throne, fox-folk, ruler of Great Aurora
- TheOrionSound: The Marcher-Lord Oli Sounder of the Crown of Grasses, llama-folk, ruler of Cross-Country
Also kicking around are the members of the Evolution SMP, who are not hermits or emperors, most of whose characters are not entirely fleshed out as of writing. Their descriptions will be updated later, and all are parrot-folk:
- MiniMuka, technomancer
- InTheLittleWood, diplomat and brother to Grian
- Nettyplays
- bigbst4
- SalemsLady, Sensor Systems Operator
- Tomohawk
- systemzee
- Taurtis/Joeyish, Shrieker Systems Operator
And what is the Saints of Eyes and Ears AU?
The Saints of Eyes and Ears AU is… sort of its own thing, and sort of a part of Horizons. It is a retelling of the events of the Life Series SMP through a semi-historical, semi-legendary lens as the cosmology/history of a religion known as Livolutionism. It is mostly based on the history-legends of Christianity, more specifically Catholicism, as that religion is the one I am most familiar with.
The elevator pitch:
In the time before time, when the world was small and the gods were close, an endless line of descendants of descendants lived and died under a sky full of eyes. Saints and sinners, lovers and enemies, bitter rivals and soulbound comrades have lived a thousand lives beneath the watchful gaze of the angels above, and demons below. But what an angel or devil is up to interpretation, as are their opaque intentions.
This will probably get its own post later down the line.
Okay, what are those legends?
The events of the various installments of the life series are collected into various books, which are self-contained tales that each follow a specific Saint, the winner of that particular installment, and the world and people that grow and flourish and crumble and die around them. The books and their Saints are as follows:
- The Book of Thirds, surrounding the life of the Saint Grian of the Desert Sun and the Red Winter War
- The Book of Lasts, surrounding the life of the Saint Scott of the Endless Stars and the Trickery of the Boogymen
- The Book of Doubles, surrounding the life of the Saint Pearl of the Shadowed Moon and the Bonds of the Soulmates
- The Book of Limits, surrounding the life of the Saint Martyn of the Stained Mars and the Chaos of the Clock
- The Book of Secrets, surrounding the life of the Saint Scar of the Blooming Earth and the Keeper’s Whispered Words
- The Real Book, a disputed scripture, surrounding the life of the Saint Cleo of the Fading Comet and the Repeating Lives

Hermit Canyon AU but.... Cont.
Instead of the Hermits appearing on the Dream SMP and being stranded there, and terrifying everyone with how cryptid they’re being, the Dream SMP end up stranded on Hermitcraft.
Reminder that this is all inspired by @redorich who came up with the Hermit Canyon AU.
This is mainly focused on the Bench Trio
It was the portal Callahan created for the 1.18 Update. Instead of there being two worlds, everyone who went through the portal ended up going to Hermitcraft, scattered in groups that they didn’t exactly step through the portal with
Initially, it doesn’t ever cross Tommy’s mind that Dream is trapped in this world with them. Though, can you blame him? The moon’s big and the ground shakes.
Ranboo, Tubbo, and Tommy settle somewhere in the empty area between Cub’s canyon and Boatem Village and Xisuma’s base. They build into one of the hills, converting a shallow, surface cave divot into a sort of-not really organized base.
I say not really organized because, while Ranboo tries to somewhat keep the chests organized and tidy and free from useless junk, Tommy and Tubbo just dump everything into any available space and leaving new chests wherever.
“Tommy, we don’t need all this cobble!” “Fuck off!”
Cub’s Canyon, Boatem, and Xisuma’s base are the three most frequented spots Tommy goes when he’s “gathering” resources. Why would he go mining when these guys have an abundance of everything? The first time Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo explore Boatem and Cub’s Canyon, it’s during the night. Ranboo gets pushed by Tommy and is nearly impaled by all the drip stone and Tubbo nearly pushes Tommy straight into the void.
Coincidentally, Grian’s awoken that same night by a high pitch scream and cursing. But when he goes to investigate, there’s no one around.
It is VERY obvious that someone is stealing from those seven Hermits, because the missing materials are always accompanied by a bit of griefing. Gold, iron, diamond blocks in the hourglass, the Elytra from the ISoar shop, rockets, coal. X woke up one morning to find not only all of his moss gone, strangely enough, but his automatic sorting machine clogged and broken with spider eyes and dirt and other useless materials.
The cobblestone towers were amusing at first, but were very quickly becoming annoying. The upside down T’s stopped being funny when they were made with obsidian
“Why are we griefing them?” “Because we’re dirty crime boys Ranboo and it asserts dominance.” “The last time we did this, it got you exiled.”
Tubbo did not steal any of Impulse’s bees, you can’t prove that. No those bees he found out in the wild mhmm mhmmm and Ranboo didn’t help him steal find them in any way.
Completely unrelated, Impulse’s Bee farm is missing some bees and bee nests.
Ranboo slips more and more into his Enderwalk state the longer they stay stuck in Hermitcraft. He disappears and wanders, walking aimlessly from place to place. He’s been spotted by Etho a few times around the shattered savannah all the way in the south, but every time Etho goes for a second look or tries to get closer, Ranboo vanishes. Gem was once working out late on a build and swore she saw two strange glowing eyes staring at her. Jellie, if Ranboo is ever wandering near Boatem, always sneaks out to greet him. Sometimes she gets a pet on the head, but most of the time she tries to follow him until he teleports away.
Sometimes he disappears into the End and Stronghold. How he found it though, will remain a mystery.
Tubbo and Tommy have no idea what triggers it, and there are some nights where they search the nearby area for Ranboo.
Tommy does most of the stealing out of the three of them. Tubbo builds farms in the underground of their base and Ranboo helps.
Tommy steals a Derpblock by accident because he mistook it as a diamond block. Tubbo is the one to go “What the fuck is this useless thing?” and suddenly Evil X feels a shutter.
Phil’s crows find them maybe the quickest out of any of the other groups. That is purely because of Tommy chaotically griefing and building his cobble towers everywhere and spotting Ranboo periodically during his Enderwalking.
Tubbo is the best when it comes to using the elytra. He’s a master at landing and flying through tiny gaps whereas Tommy always crashes and Ranboo struggles to stay steady.
Tubbo’s favorite thing to steal is the End Crystals from Mumbo’s shop, mainly because of the look of panic that they cause Ranboo and Tommy.

[Crawls into your askbox] it's been ages but as usual im still thinking abt ur Aus.
Slimerancher au and superhostile au my fucking beloved
I miss them too ;-;
I have a couple of projects i needa (and want to) finish off first before i can work on my Slime Rancher Au,,,
But as a treat, here's a scrapped sketch of Etho's ranch more like a city at the rate he's been living on the planet
This has been in my wips since like,,, November/December of last year aaaa
Tumblr media
I want to make his ranch a run-down solar punk themed, but it doesn't quite get it yet so i wanna work out more designs to capture the fact that his base integrated into the Moss Blanket and into the Jungle Trees
Kind of like a ruined area with overgrown wildlife with a mix of ruined/messy solar punk :]
I'm really excited to design Etho, Taxes, Chester, and Sidekit aaaa
(I was thinking Wilson was an Ai he created to help manage his base and drones since its so large)
-
Also!! Some doodles and scrapped wips for Hostile Takeover Au under cut
(Tbh I'm prob not gonna do anything with this au mostly because I don't have that kind of time nor commitment to stick to a long form project and fully write Hostile Takeover :/) I really do like this concept and want to work on it in the future but idk-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know, without context this might be a bit confusing... So lemme explain what Hostile Takeover is lol
Hostile Takeover is a Hermitcraft au in which Vechs is a supernatural entity that absolutely loves to toy and mess with players.
Like how he communicates with players in his maps, he can only speak through signs and is perpetually in Spectator mode, but has access to world-editing commands
The plot:
Vechs was able to track down Joe and Cleo in the Hermitcraft Server (This au was made back in early Season 7) and had essentially destroyed and reformed the server into a Super Hostile Map.
The Hermits were all knocked out during this process and were tranported to the starting area of the map.
Joe was the first to wake up. Knowing that was likely his fault the Hermits are in this situation because Vechs was specifically hunting him down, he moves on without the Hermits to find the next checkpoint and fins resources.
When the other Hermits wake up they immediately notice three things: Several Hermits are missing, no one has admin privileges, and their communicators have been going off with death messages from Joe repeatedly dying.
The Hermits that are missing, besides Joe are: Jevin, Doc, Cleo, and Xisuma
Hypno, Beef, Bdubs and Etho take it upon themselves to inform the other Hermits who exactly Vechs is and what Complete the Monument maps are.
In this case, Vechs stated that if the Hermits are able to complete the Victory Monument with all the colors of Wool and obtain the Admin's communicator, he will revert the world and leave everyone before he had entered it.
The catch is: The missing Hermits are the ones guarding specific wool and have complete control over specific mobs that they can summon at will.
As the remaining Hermits progress, some stay behind and the closest checkpoint to continue to gather resources and food and help any Hermits that died while exploring
Another group heads out to conquer and light up the map until they find a wool or encounter stuff Joe has left behind to help them.
While the Hermits are working together, Joe put himself in the mindset that he was constantly used to when he was forced to play Vechs's maps. He's used to working alone in these situations and thinks that he probably works best alone.
He still leaves behind resources and books about his journies and ramblings behind for the Hermits to read and understand his feelings throughtout this entire map. The books are mainly filled with poetry and random rambles. On occassion they are pages filled with crossed out writing, torn put pages, or have splattered blood in them.
Ther Hermits wete eventually able to catch up to Joe in the first Boss Hermit, Jevin.
The Boss Hermits:
Jevin: Nether themed. Converted into a giant magma variation of himself, controls all nether mobs except the Zombie Pigmen
Doc: Controls all creepers and supercharged creepers, along with the spawning of natural mobs
Cub and Scar: Controls all Illagers, Ravagers, Witches and Vex. Located in a modified region that is made to look like a Woodland Mansion. (Insert joke about Vechs and Vex here)
Cleo: Control spiders, cave spiders, zombies, and skeletons. (Her area was themed as the old kingdom she ruled before Vechs encountered her world and converted it into a Super Hostile map)
Xisuma: End themed. Controls all end mobs, including the dragon. He can use admin controls to alter the world around him as well as shape shift into mobs he has used in the past.
With each defeat of a boss, they free them from Vech's control and also free the mobs that were controlled by them. The world also reverts in updates. This changes the Hermit's skins as they regress over time (Insert joke about newly freed Hermit that was under the influence of Vechs only being able to recognize Etho here)
Joe still moves ahead, alone, of the the group of Hermits. But always comes back to work together to fight the next boss hermit
At the end of Xisuma's fight, things take a turn.
The End begins to collapse around them and the Hermits rush to the End Portal.
Chains from the void latch onto Joe, Bdubs, Hypno, and Bdubs
The Hermits that haven't yet entered the portal yet rush to help them out. Beef breaks Bdub's chains but in return, was taken and dragged down into the void. Hypno, who was still being held back yells for the remaining hermits to leve before the world collapse and to take the wool. He promises they'll be fine. To leave and join with th group.
The remaining Hermits leave and wake up at the checkpoint.
Their communicators buzz.
JoeHillsTSD has falled out of the world.
Etho has fallen out of the world.
VintageBeef has fallen out of the world.
Hypno has fallen out the world.
At this point, the Vicotry Monunent has been completed with the black wool. But their friends are missing
Confused and angry, some Hermits yell at Vechs, knowing he's listening. And in response, he places down signs.
He tells them that they still need Xisuma's communicator.
Joe was the one holding that took it fron Xisuma during the fight was went down with it when he was dragged into the void.
Vechs reveals a new path.
And the Hermits, having Bdubs guide them, uses what the learnt from him, Hypno, Etho, and Beef and continue the map.
The Hermits that were taken were made into bosses, the world wildly fluctuating between different updates.
The new boss hermits:
Hypno: Modded minecraft (verson 1.8). The hermits were given a little mercy by Vechs and given some resources to help them in their fight against Hypno.
Beef and Etho: (versions 1.7) A pvp battle arena against the duo. The area has a bunch of red, green, blue glass pillars. All of these are used to help Etho make percise shots quicker, helping measure his distnace between him and his target. These two are incredibly deadly working together. The Hermits died several times fighting off against them.
Joe: (version is in limbo) A platform above the void. A parkour, and at the end Joe waits.
Majority of the Hermits that went out to get Joe didn't survive the course. The only ones remaining are Xb, Cleo, Jevin, and Xisuma.
He engages them in a 4 vs 1 battle, and is able to keep up. Unlike the orevious fights, Joe actively taunts them. He tells them to give up. That if they just give in Vechs will give them Xisuma's communicator and press the button on the command block. It woukd send them to another world.
The only stipulation is that Joe stays behind.
Of course the group calls bullshit on that and continue fighting. Cleo tries to to fight through Vechs's influence on Joe. They continue ti have a back and forth with Joe, countering his claims to leave him behind.
Eventually, Xisuma, Xb, and Jevin have all been slain by Joe.
Cleo missing an arm and her sword was tossed into the void. But Joe hasn't killed her yet.
She's still talking despite her injuries. Joe is just standing, his sword discarded in the platform. On his right, he holds Xisuma's communicator. Oh his left his hand is resting on the button of the command block. The command blocks that will send everyone, but him, to another world.
Joe is crying.
Cleo approaches him. Still talking to Joe despite his lack of responses.
Without thinking, Cleo hugs Joe. He doesn't return it, but his arms hand limply, away from the command block.
The two of them have been playing Vechs's game since the beginning. They've watched him destroy worlds and died countless times trying to play a game with a finish line alway being moved just out of their reach.
You can't win a game against a god by playing into their hands.
Vechs's control on Joe fades. He hands her the Admin communicator. And the two of them call out Vechs.
He's unammused with the outcome. But Vechs did say that he would return everything to normal and leave the Hermits for good if theh completed the Victory Monument and a Hermit is able to retrieve Xisuma's communicator.
He teleports the duo and back to the Hermits at the check point and agrees to his end of the deal. Xisuma and the other permitted Hermits get their admin privileges back and Vechs knocks everyone out (to be petty) and restores the world to as it was before he came.
The minute Xisuma wakes up, he's sure to ban Vechs , even if if probably won't do anything, to make sure he doesn't enter the server again.
And ta daaaa that's Hostile Takeover :]

Full fic bellow! content warning for trauma, relating to  the Festival.
By the time they had managed to leave Looky Looky at My Cookie, being around the two teens felt like a hurricane. When Stress managed to convince the two to get something to eat- not that cookies and cake were exactly a healthy breakfast- that certainly hadn’t slowed them down from bouncing off the walls.
Though wary at first, Tommy couldn’t get himself to turn down free goods, without even being accused of stealing. While Grian had been digging through an enderchest, finding payment for the goods, Tommy and pulled Tubbo along to gawk at the builds.
“I don’t fucking get it! Why don’t you guys just, steal shit? I don’t see anyone here to stop that! Or- what’s stopping someone from griefing?” Tommy turned, eyes narrowed on the short brunette woman.
Stress merely tilted her head, brows knitted together in confusion. “We’re a whitelist server, Love! Of course none of us would steal. We’re on a mooshroom island, so we don’t have any worries about any creepers or the like, either.” She had explained, much to the boy’s frustration.
“Yeah, but if someone wanted to, they could just fuckin’ come here and steal! I mean, why would anyone care? Or how would you even notice, you all seem loaded.” He scoffed in frustration.
Tubbo, at his side, laughed. “That’s the coolest part, Tommy! They don’t worry about that! That’s why, like, they’re so cool! No one disrupts eachother or steals, so people can just..Work, and do crazy shit!” They gawked, clapping their hands as they bounced in place.
“I’ve always meant to go back and explore one of the replica worlds you guys put out. The fact that after you’re all finished, you just- put out the code? So others can make replicas of just- such intimate places? And experience it and walk through it? That’s so cool.” Tubbo finally stopped, having nearly ran out of breath.
That earned a flustered laugh out of Stress, nodding along. “Oh, I agree. I only got to join the Hermits two worlds back, on Hermitcraft Five! Me and Zedaph- oh, is he a something- were the new Hermits up until Grian finally joined us, last world.”
“New Hermit is definitely a heavy torch to carry,” Grian would chirp in, emerging from the shop. “Gotta commit as much chaos as physically possible. Make a good name for yourself.” The brit finished with a wolfish grin, unruly bangs falling past grey, almost purple eyes that glanced between the teens.
“He’s got a point,” Stress snorted, nodding. “If you’re ever bored during your stay, no Hermit are short on stories. Anywho, Grian, you got the spending diamonds for the two?” She turned towards the man- not even a hair taller than herself.
“Yep, of course. Here you two go, I don’t have all my diamonds on me, but this should help cover just about whatever you need.” Pulling out the diamond icon from his tablet, he dropped a numbered amount to both, being deposited into their system. “W- what!” Tubbo exclaimed, pulling out a diamond from their system. “Surely not. Is my tablet reading this right? A stack of diamonds?” They gawked, clutching onto the jewel.
Tommy merely screeched, pressing his tablet against his chest. “Holy fucking SHIT-”
“Jeez does this feel like a language moment-” another voice chimed.
The boy went rigid. Tommy’s head snapping in the direction, as Tubbo nearly jumped out of their skin in surprise. Stood by an igloo- out of place in the clashing mycelium-grass island- was an equally odd man.
Platinum white hair held back(mostly) by a well-worn black headband, a silver plate on the front reading off NHO. A faded, dull green- littered with patches, pins, and buttons- and most unnerving, a black mask covering most of their face. And- most notably- was the pair of slick, glistening snowy owl wings sprawled behind them.
The white-haired figure paused, shifting their weight awkwardly. “Uh, hi.” The guy gave a small wave, expression unreadable past mismatched black-and-red eyes. The man’s hair barely even allowed for those to be viewable- aiding in his masquerade, made the combination of mask-and-bangs shield most of the visible emotion from the newcomers.
“Hey, Etho!” Grian chirped, pleasantly pleased by the appearance of the shady figure. For some reason that Tommy, yet again, doesn’t quite understand, Tubbo gasps.
“Holy- you’re Etho? Like, Ethos Lab?  Oh, oh Void, I spent so much time watching so many of your old redstone videos! It’s what got me so interested in it!” They grinned.
Oh Prime, who doesn’t this place have? Tommy scoffed at the thought, eyes narrowing on the figure. What’s with the scary mask people always being the ones getting popular, and shit-
“Oh, thanks. Always happy to hear, there’s always a use for more redstone users. Uh, looks like you got a bit of a tour going on?” The man- Etho, turned towards Grian and Stress.
“Yep! We wanted to check in on them, I know you heard from the announcement the run down.” Stress grinned, glancing towards the teens. “These two are Tommy and Tubbo. Glad to see you have some idea about Etho, already. He’s always bound to be around somewhere.”
Tommy scoffed, eyeing the man, a few inches shy of his own height. “Hi, and shit.” He sniffed, crossing his arms.
Etho shuffled in place, nodding. “Uh, yeah. Language, by the way.” He sheepishly huffed, running a hand through his hair. “Welcome, for however long you guys stay. ..And if I may recommend, make sure you head down to Shade-E E’s. Quick profits all around.” He added, pointing with his thumb behind him, towards the dark mansion.
The blond kid raised a brow, tilting his head.  Prime, what is up with this guy.  “Excuse me?” Tommy scoffed.
Grian groaned, rolling his eyes. “Etho. Please. The amount of glass i’ve picked up coming out of the District portal.” He glared pointedly towards the man.
“Mhmm..I don’t see what there is to be so upset over. I think I'm providing a very generous service, to our server.” He snickered, quirking an eyebrow.
Pointedly sending a scolding glare towards Etho, Stress turned towards the two teens. “C’mon, now. Mind that Mr. Ice Queen, now.” She huffed, fondness seeping into her voice.
“I know when I’m unwanted,” Etho chuckled, holding up gloved hands in mock-defense. See you two ‘round. You too, Tubbo, Tommy.” He’d nod towards each person as he named them, before a rocket was summoned to his hand. And, he was off with a trail of smoke.
At the poof and small bang from the minor explosive was all it took for an incident to form. Tubbo cringed, visibly flinching before they curled in on themself, ducking their head down as their arms clung around their head, their ears covered.
Tommy, on the otherhand, nearly jumped a foot in the air before throwing himself on Tubbo.  The two went tumbling to the ground with a huff.
The two Hermits shot up, turning towards the teens. “Oh Gord, hey, it’s okay, those were just flight duration rockets! They can’t do a thing. Etho’s gone, now.” Grian dropped down next to them, brows pinched in concern.
“We promise, it’s alright! We all use rockets like that. It’s alright, see? Everything’s fine. No hermit would do a thing to purposefully scare you, like that.” Stress chirped in, her heart sinking at the thought of two kids being so terrified at a simple firework.
Tommy pulled his head away from the crook of Tubbo’s neck, glaring harshly at the adults. Distrust was obvious in his blue eyes, before he untangled himself, pulling up Tubbo with him. “Why the fuck would he need fireworks? He had fucking wings.”
The Hermits exchanged a gaze for a moment, before Grian held up his hands pacifyingly. “That was just an elytra. They take the form most fitting for the wearer, at the moment. Stress marked him the Ice Queen of the season, since he owns that Ice shop,” He’d point with his thumb behind him, at a snowy igloo with an Ice sign above it. “So, he had snow-themed wings. Last world, my Elytra wings were small and white feathers. Rockets boost them, since Elytras can only glide.” Grian explained patiently.
“..Right. Sorry- I- Uh. I didn’t realize he had an Elytra.. S-Should’ve expected the rocket, if I knew.” Tubbo sheepishly laughed it off, their head dipped down.
The correlation between the splattered, sparked burn scars scattered across their face, and their reaction, wasn’t lost on the Hermits.
There was a brief silence between the four, the blond boy’s arm wrapped tightly around the other teen’s.
“So- what are your wings, now?” Tubbo eventually asked, breaking the tense pause.
Grian made a noise of understanding. “Ah, yeah, I have parrots wings, now! Scarlet Macaw. Red’s the primary color. They’re a good bit bigger than last season’s elytra, since that one was chicken based.”
“Chicken based?” Tommy scoffed, cocking an eyebrow as he eyed the short, young-looking man.
“Yes, that was his whole thing. The Hermits still tease him for it. Mine are floral-based and skeletal, when I wear them.” Stress chirped, her tone warm. With a swipe of her holographic tablet, wings were equipped to her back.
Indeed, they were as described. A frame of skeletal bones, a light, magenta glistening aura surrounding them. Moss, and large flowers clung to the wings. How exactly she flew with them was beyond anything Tommy knew- or was willing to take the time to understand.
“We won’t be using them, since- you two don’t have any. But it is about time we discuss what your plans are. Has your server’s admin sent any updates?” Grian switched subjects, glancing between the teens.
A tense energy still surrounded them, as Tubbo fidgetted and gripped onto the fabric at the bottom of their shirt.
“No,” Tommy scoffed, pulling his Communicator into his free hand. “The bastard hasn’t said a word.” The boy practically growled out the words, in frustration.
“Alright,” Grian said easily. “Then we figure out what you two want to do.”
“There’s a lot of spare builds. Keralis, real close to here, has a whole big city. There’s a hotel there. It’s not empty, but it is.. Overwhelming, and a bit much. There are also Hermits starter bases.” Stress explained, trying to lay out the options for the two.
Tommy scowled, while Tubbo looked- well, spaced. Easily the quietest either Hermit had seen them, so far. This only added to their concern.
“I have my starter base. No Hermit would bother you, but it’s close enough that we can drop off supplies, and you’d be able to reach others if you need help. Both of you could have anything I left in those chests, Gord knows I have more than enough resources.” Grian offered, glancing between the teens.
“The spawn room was fine, Mr. Grian.” Tubbo cringed, tilting their head towards the builder.
Grian persisted, gently shaking his head. “No, it isn’t. There isn’t the supplies to really just- let you guys sustain, there.” He grimaced, before manifesting the spruce boat icon into his hand. “Hobbit hole with everything in it going to you two, or empty hotel room with no elevator.” He’d offer.
The pair were quiet for a moment, before Tommy groaned. “Fine. Hermithole, or whatever.”
Nodding along, Grian trailed off towards shore. “Alright, we have a short journey ahead of us, then. And then you two can decide if you want to settle there and make do with what’s stored, or come back on your own accord for more. I won’t make either of you stick around for much longer.”
“Good.” Tommy grumbled, pulling back out his own boat.
Both groups were soon in their boats, and once more, were off into the ocean.

FINAL CABIN PLACEMENTS I DON'T WANT TO EDIT IT AFTER THIS
So many of y'all had so many good ideas (and since a lot of these i came up with without any real reasoning) here's my updated version that i think fits A LOT better
#2 Hera Cabin: Scott, Impulse, Ren Scott: Scott's whole thing is loyalty. Hera is the goddess of marriage and is insanely loyal to Zeus. However, I feel like Hera should get at least one affair. So now Scott can use peacocks as weapons. Impulse: According to @dawnfire7 Impulse is known for loyalty, which i did not know. He's also known to hold grudges. Perfect Hera kid. Ren: He's apparently known for loyalty (and i didn't really like his Nike placement anyway)
#3 Poseidon Cabin: XB XB: Something about water temple guardians
#7 Apollo Cabin: Oli, Lyarrah Oli: MUSIC. MAN. Lyarrah: She writes the captions for the hermitcraft recap.
#8 Artemis Cabin: Pearl, Gem Pearl: Y'know, Artemis could've just like... had a kid, even though she took that oath. It wouldn't even have to be with a guy. Gods can change to whatever gender they want. Anyway, Pearl gets to be an Artemis kid because her symbolism is moon, she loves dogs, and will commit murder and hunt at night. Gem: Someone really wanted these girls to be sisters, and I think Gem and pearl should get to hunt at night and be fierce together. Oh, and she's got the whole deer aesthetic.
#9 Hephaestus Cabin: Doc, Mumbo, Tango, Zedaph, Fwhip, Iskall Doc: Redstone Mumbo: Redstone Tango: Redstone Zedaph: Redstone Fwhip: Redstone AND has a red scarf (don't ask me how that's relevant) Iskall: Redstone
#10 Aphrodite Cabin: Keralis, Skizz, Bigb Keralis: Okay, I don't know why, but Keralis gives me the vibes of a very charming person. His voice is nice to listen to, so imagine how useful it'd be if I gave him charm speak. Skizz: Person in the tags said he was really charming and you can't help but love him. I agree. He's here now. Bigb: Smooth talker. Someone (i think it was Scott) said in one of their videos "It's hard to kill him while he's talking". Charmspeak. Ma man, go do chaos.
#12 Dionysus Cabin: Joey, Beef, Cub Joey: *points at his season one empires theme* i need not say more Beef: Idk, food. I don't really have a reason. I don't know too much about Beef. Cub: Someone said Cub was really laid back, i liked this idea, he's here now. C'mon, go make ur empire.
#15 Hypnos Cabin: Wels Wels: @dingdinghq said something about sleeping during S6 and i completely agree
#16 Nemesis Cabin:
#17 Nike Cabin:
#18 Hebe Cabin:
#19 Tyche Cabin: TFC TFC: Man goes mining and gets really lucky. That's it.
#20 Hecate Cabin: Lizzie, Cleo, Jevin Lizzie: Witchy vibes. Also, Arson. Cleo: Arson. She uses her magic for Arson. Jevin: He's a magic slime. Also, Arson. All Hecate kids love Arson.
