Not every workout is planned or intentional. In fact, I often think of my workouts to be chosen off of a menu, aka #movementmenu . πŸ—’ My movement menu is broken up into days of the week with multiple options each day. I love listening to my body and picking the workout of the day that is calling to me most. πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ The options are usually: A. 30 min walk/run B. Group Class (Zumba, Yoga, CrossFit, Spin) C. A home workout D. A gym workout Sometimes I pick 1 and somedays I do them all. πŸ—“ If you are new or just getting back into exercise, I highly recommend you create a Movement Menu too. Each day you β€œorder” off of the menu based on your mood/schedule. Do you feel like being social? Go to a class. Gorgeous day outside? Go for a walk. Feel like being solo? Go to the cardio/free weight area of you gym. Schedule doesn’t allow you to go to the gym? Put on a YouTube video at home. There are so many ways to move your body every single day. Even cleaning counts. πŸ“š Today I had to catch up on a lot of school work and almost skipped working out altogether. Realized as I started to wind down after dinner, that watching True Detective and doing some kettlebell and dumbbell work would be a perfect way to squeeze in my workout of the day.
