It's been awhile since I did something for this AU, so here's an Ajin!Shou with his IBM~!

Some drawings of Reigen from the Ajin AU!! I redrew him so many times in the bottom one but he still didn’t turn out as nicely as I wanted him to  *cri* also, I cannot draw hands :’) I do, however, love Mob’s black ghost. Now that I’m actually putting effort in, this stuff’s lookin’ good! More headcanons: >Reigen absolutely hates seeing Mob or any of the other espers die. He knows how agonizingly painful and stressful it is for them and that pains him. His anxiety level goes through the roof whenever it happens, and whenever someone intentionally kills Mob (or the other kids), he flips his shit and uses cuss words (which he normally doesn’t around the kids).

>Reigen does what Ogura does in Ajin S2 and gets Mob to bring out his ghost as if wanting to kill him so that Reigen can see it. Mob was against the idea but Reigen kept insisting ‘trust me Mob I know what I’m doing, I’m an adult’ so Mob caved. Reigen loves the ghosts almost as much as he cares for the kids

>In the bottom one, Mob was shot by an anti-Ajin committee member who suspected he was an Ajin due to Reigen so suddenly taking Mob under his wing. Reigen almost had a panic attack when Mob died in his arms, but Mob revived and that panic turned into serious anger. He said what’s drawn above, but then he takes the committee member to someplace private and has a yelling match with him “STOP STRESSING OUT MY STUDENT, IT STRESSES ME OUT AS WELL AND MY HAIR’S GONNA TURN GRAY BEFORE I HIT 40 YEARS OLD DO YOU KNOW HOW ANGRY I’LL BE?! IT’S GONNA BE ALL ON YOU, BUDDY. YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT. YOU’RE GONNA PAY FOR MY HAIR PRODUCTS. SO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BOUND BY THOSE SHACKLES, STOP IT.”

>Ritsu is still suspicious of Reigen. That is, until he interferes in the fight with the Scars. Then he knows Reigen is a good dude.

Mob Psycho 100 AU

I LOVE TAKING TWO WILDLY CONFLICTING SHOWS AND MAKING AUS FOR THEM.

Soooo in case you don’t know what Ajin is, it’s a psychological horror manga/anime about immortal humans (called Ajin) who revive no matter how many times they’re killed and can summon “black ghosts” that are shaped according to the Ajin’s actions. The ghosts cannot be seen by humans unless the Ajin has strong emotions towards a targeted human, like bloodlust, fear, etc. Ajin don’t know they’re Ajin until they die once. Then they are hunted down by a special branch of the government for inhumane experiments and all that lovely bullshit. Also, Kou is my fave lmao the poor idiot doesn’t deserve the shit he’s forced to go through…let him rest gdi

So I’ve been thinking about this AU for awhile now and I’ve come up with some ideas (warning, it’s late and I have shaky-ass fingers so if anything is misspelled or grammatically incorrect, blame my fingers):

>Mob’s family doesn’t turn him in although he’s Ajin and they continue to shield him from suspicion and let him live normally 

>Mob found out he was an Ajin at a young age (he and Ritsu were messing around at the top of the basement stairs, Mob fell down backwards and died almost instantly) 

>Mob doesn’t use his ghost for much, just mundane tasks around the house (reaching high objects, cleaning his room, moving heavy objects, etc), and as such, it stays in a humanoid form. The claws act more like fingers than actual claws, but black ghosts always retain their claws so they’re there to stay. It also resembles ??? a little bit. 

>Mob’s ghost is ridiculously strong tho

 >When he hits 100%, he unleashes a Flood (dozens of ghosts being released at once) and they’re all incredibly powerful.

 >??? ends up appearing when he dies in a state of great emotional distress. It’s like Shinya Nakamura’s Flood but the whole thing is packed into one incredibly powerful, absolutely unstoppable ghost.

 >Mob ends up meeting Reigen after bumping into him on the street

 >Reigen is part of the anti-Ajin committee but he’s more like Ikuya Ogura. He doesn’t have anything against Ajin, he’s just fascinated by them and wants to learn more about them. He doesn’t agree with the experiments on Ajin, however, but he’s able to meet with Ajin easily and learn about them in noninvasive ways over a cup of coffee. He’s valuable to the committee because of this.

 >Reigen doesn’t ever go to the anti-Ajin HQ unless there’s a meeting. He hates seeing Ajin being experimented on, but the committee won’t stop it no matter how much he asks and offers peaceful solutions.

 >Reigen’s pretty much quit the anti-Ajin committee (his sole purpose for joining was to try changing their mindset on Ajin) and started up his own small business about investigating Ajin peacefully and trying to get their rights recognized. Since he’s an ex-member (and a good one at that), the committee’s unanimously agreed to leave him be. 

>Mob’s fascinated by Reigen’s little business that he goes (against Ritsu’s warnings) and ends up confiding in him. Reigen’s intrigued by this kid and ends up hiring him to help him find Ajin and help them with their problems(Mob can see black ghosts and Reigen can’t). 

>Reigen gets incredibly attached to this kid and after a few attempts, convinces Mob’s parents to trust him. Ritsu’s still suspicious of Reigen.

 >Frick, Dimple was hard to figure out

 >Dimple doesn’t actually go out and try killing people, but he’s trying to rule Japan. Like Satou but without all the “psycho murder MLG videogame man” stuff. 

>Nobody knows what he actually looks like, but he must be strong because he can keep his ghost out 24/7 

>Basically he lives his life through his ghost. He basically is his ghost. He speaks, travels, fights, and everything through his ghost. 

>I’m at a loss for the whole ‘security guard Dimple’ thing, I’ll figure it out tho

 >I was considering that Dimple is actually security guard man but he makes like 1 appearance and then he’s back to projecting himself through his ghost. 

>Oh yea, his ghost’s pretty damn weak just like Dimple is in the manga/anime 

>His ghost transforms like Dimple does; huge and strong when Dimple goes into his true form (anime/manga) and a little floating black ball with teeny arms most of the time. 

>Anyways 

>Now for Ritsu 

>Ritsu’s an Ajin as well, but nobody knows. Not even Ritsu himself.

 >Ritsu ends up meeting Dimple (his ghost) after that whole stressful arc in the anime and wondering ‘what the hell' 

>Suddenly, BAM, 'holy shit, is that what Nii-san’s ghost looks like????’ 'wait’ ’wait’ 'I’m an Ajin?????' 

>Dimple shows him how to use his ghost and that’s when Ritsu starts doing risky shit with it 

>Ritsu’s ghost looks plain af since he’s never used it. It looks like Kei’s ghost. 

>Ritsu dies for the first time in the battle with Koyama. Unlike when he just got the shit beat out of him in the anime, he was straight up killed by Koyama. That’s what pushed Mob over the edge. 

>Claw is basically Satou’s little murder squad, but they don’t go out senselessly killing civilians. 

>Toichirou is basically Satou but you know…not

 >Toichirou’s ghost resembles Satou’s, but it rivals Mob’s in terms of strength. 

>They capture young Ajin and brainwash them into hating humans and wanting to take over the country (and then the world) 

>The esper kids and the Awakening lab are Ajin who haven’t died yet (they have weak ghosts), and a facility made to protect them. 

>Now my boi Teru 

>Teru lives alone due to a conflict between his parents resulting in his dad wanting to turn him in for money and his mom wanting to protect him. He didn’t want to see his parents fighting because of him, so he decided to move out. Needless to say, learning that his father didn’t care about him if he wasn’t human fucked him up a bit. 

>He died for the first time at age twelve. He was washing dishes and slipped on some water while he was carrying knives to put them away. 

>He started using his ghost to make himself popular in school and to swiftly take down his opponents, so it developed with characteristics that made it more agile and fast. It has a light, thin body and wings rather than clawed hands. His ghost is sort of like Takeshi Kotobuki’s. 

>After befriending (and getting a crush on) Mob, he began to think carefully before using his ghost. Like Mob. He hates seeing when Mob dies and vice versa.

>Yay, my other boi Shou! 

>He’s been encouraged by his father to use his ghost violently so it developed for just that. It looks a lot like Tanaka’s ghost, with elongated claws, a mouth with jagged teeth, and a slender body for moving at high speed.

>When Shou faces Ritsu in the battle with the Scars, Ritsu’s ghost is absolutely rekt by Shou’s ghost. Shou hates killing, so he just knocks Ritsu out. 

>Shou ends up teaching Ritsu how to use his ghost later on

The AU only loosely follows the MP100 timeline after that, save for the major events (the battle with Toichirou, etc), and the Mogami arc is different. Idk, this was a really quickly-made AU and I fell in love with it but it’s definitely weird haha…I’m prob gonna draw more of this either way :3

More Ajin AU Stuff But It’s Ritshou

Please excuse the mediocrity of the first image, I drew it 5 days ago at 4am whilst exhausted but I had an idea and absolutely had to draw it. There are much nicer images below the cut :’)

Sooooo @fgtmgt and I were chatting about MP100 Ajin AU headcanons on DeviantArt and we came to several important conclusions:

>Mob would literally never get used to dying and would try to avoid it as often as he could and to the best of his ability.

>Teru would put up a strong front and make jokes along the lines of  “kill me” “oh look at that I’ve been impaled” “I guess I’m going out with a bang eh, guys?” “At least this time I’m dying stabulously” and such, but in reality, dying terrifies the living hell out of him. It’s not so much a “What if I don’t come back this time” kind of fear, it’s more like a “My body is regrowing and oh my God, I’m leaving bits of myself that were usable and attached to me all over the place I feel nauseous”. He’s more disgusted and scared of being an Ajin than scared of dying and not coming back.

>Ritsu just doesn’t give a fuck. I mean, the first few times he died/was killed were terrifying. He even vocalized his concerns about being an Ajin to Shou at one point because he didn’t want to make Mob worry. After five or six times, he becomes sorta like Kei and saw the ability to die over and over again as a huge advantage.

>Because of who his dad is, Shou’s been forced to act as though dying is nothing more than a minor inconvenience for him. Like his father. However, he’s terrified of the thought that one day, he might die and not revive. He tries to avoid dying as much as possible. He’s adopted the habit of putting on a tough act whenever he dies, but in the comic, he’s chosen to confess his fears to Ritsu, who’s been his friend for a few years at this point. 

*NOTE: in this AU, everyone’s two years older than in canon. This isn’t for any shipping purpose or whatever you wanna call it, it’s just because a) Their ages are closer to the ages of the Ajin characters and b) I wanted to set it a few years after canon events to allow more non-canon stuff to happen.*

This’ll be continued sometime (hopefully this weekend) but I gotta resume my webcomic first *cri*

Revive

Ayyyyyyyy so here’s the first comic/fanfic for the Ajin MP100 AU! Jfc this is literally the first real fanfic I’ve written and I’m not a very good writer soooooo this is what I’ve got to show for it *cri* anyways, here’s some good ol Terumob/Ajin AU/fluff ending/angsty bullshit yay :’) 

Okokokokokokok I didn’t want to put the whole gotdam thing here bc it’s literally just over 5000 words and that would be a pain in the ass to scroll through so I just put the part with the comic here on tumblr and I posted the entire fanfic on AO3 here

In this AU, they’re slightly older than in canon. This is not for some ‘shipping purpose’, this is just because this is set some time after the events that coincide with canon events. The Mogami and World Domination arcs occurred in this AU, although different from how they appeared in canon. The Divine Tree arc would be difficult to incorporate into this AU, what with the whole brainwashing thing, but I’m trying to see what I can do.

Mob and Reigen both hovered over the latter’s laptop, standing behind Reigen’s desk. The screen displayed several rows of stacked cards, and both individuals scrutinized the display. Solitaire was a time-killer that Reigen had always been particularly passionate about, and after several years of working under Reigen, Mob had come to enjoy solitaire as well.

Today, however, Mob wasn’t as focused as he usually was. Reigen picked up on this pretty quickly, and he was pretty sure it was because Teru was an hour late. Mob fidgeted, casted glances out the window behind him, and didn’t offer as many suggestions as he usually did when watching Reigen play solitaire.  

Just after three o’clock, Mob’s ghost—which had been wandering around the office tidying up and stacking papers—stammered,

<Whe-when will H-ana-han-zawa-kun be h’re?>

Reigen, having studied Ajin for years, knew that this was probably what Mob was thinking. Either that, or it was something Mob had said. Reigen guessed it was the former. He turned his head to look at Mob, who jumped at his sudden glance. Reigen raised an eyebrow.

“Shishou?” Mob asked him tentatively. Reigen studied Mob’s face for a moment, then laughed softly and ruffled the sixteen-year-old’s black hair.

“No need to worry. That Teru kid’s probably just deciding what to wear. You know how he is about clothes.” He offered Mob some reassuring words with a smile.

Reigen wasn’t so sure, though. Teru was rarely late for anything, and when he was it was because he’d run into trouble. Though…he usually sorted it out and got to his destination within fifteen to twenty minutes. The man, despite his concerns, didn’t let this show for Mob’s sake. It wasn’t because he feared what Mob was capable of when stressed, but because he didn’t want Mob to worry. Mob was like a son to Reigen, and he didn’t want to see Mob upset.

Mob accepted his master’s words with a tiny smile. He believed in Reigen and trusted Teru when it came to defending himself, so he let himself relax.

Just as the two were starting to get absorbed in the game, Reigen’s cell phone rang. The display lit up as the phone vibrated, spinning slowly on the surface of the desk. Reigen and Mob both saw the name on the display: ‘Teru’. Mob’s face lit up and he rose from where he sat on the second office chair Reigen had recently bought for him.

Even Mob’s ghost seemed to move more energetically as it organized file folders in the corner.

Mob began heading downstairs, calling over his shoulder, “I’ll go see if he’s here!” as Reigen picked up the phone and accepted the call. The first thing Reigen said, even before either could say hello was, “Teru? Where are you? Mob’s getting worried.”

Teru’s breathing sounded forced and shaky on the other end of the line and he took awhile to reply. When he did, Reigen was shocked by how raspy his voice was…like Teru had been struck with tonsillitis or something of the sort.

“R-Reigen-san…ah, I’m at the back door. Don’t tell Kageyama-k-“

“Mob’s already on his way down to see if you’re there.”

Teru fell silent, save for his abnormal breaths. Reigen felt worry beginning to eat away at him, but he kept a level voice as he said, “You sound terrible, kid. What’s wrong?”

“I, um…”

Reigen was aware of Teru stifling a noise that sounded like it could have been a cough or a sob. Teru was quiet for so long that Reigen was unsure of whether or not Teru could speak. Finally, just as Reigen was about to ask the question again, Teru responded.

“…I had a run-in with some anti-Ajin guys.”

At those words, Reigen knew exactly why Teru hadn’t wanted Mob to meet him yet.

“The anti-Ajin agents? Were you killed?” Reigen asked on the other end of the phone line.

Teru knew he was about to die again. He just hoped that he’d die and revive before Mob opened the door before him. He was also tentative about telling Reigen the details, because he knew that Reigen would stick his neck out for anyone who needed his help and would likely go directly to the anti-Ajin headquarters and chew them all out for hunting him down.

After pausing again—mostly for the sake of catching his breath, since his wound had made it very hard to breathe—Teru brought himself to answer.

“They killed me twice. It’s gonna become three times soon eno—“

At this time, the back door swung open and Mob appeared, a cheery expression on his face.

“H-Hanazawa-kun, where were you? We’ve been waiting for an hour—“

Mob broke off his words as he saw the state Teru was in. The only sound that left his mouth was a tiny gasp of shock. Teru saw Mob’s expression change from a happy one to a horrified one. He pulled the phone away from his ear, eyes wide. Mob’s form swam in his eyes for a moment as Teru wobbled. “Kageyama-kun?” He managed to say through the pain and shock.

He could see Mob putting the pieces together. Teru knew that what had happened to him was in no way Mob’s fault, but Mob wouldn’t believe that. So in order to try calming Mob, Teru cracked a small smile and said, “It’s…not as bad as it looks. I’ll revive anyways, so something like this doesn’t matter. Please don’t freak out on my behalf, ok?” He made sure his tone was gentle, although it sounded forced due to the pain.

Mob’s eyes went blank as his face froze in an expression of horror. Teru was sure he saw some guilt there, as well, but the thing he noticed the most at this moment was the black smoke rising from Mob’s body. His stress level was climbing at a staggering rate.

“Oh no…” Teru found himself thinking.

“Kageyama-kun, it’s fine…” Teru began, but his legs began to buckle. He stumbled sideways, no longer able to see.

“I’ll be fine…after I r…evive…”

Teru had died a third time.

Teru and his ghost from the Ajin AU! I’m really happy w how his ghost turned out and of course Teru would still wear the most obnoxious colours lmao (tbh tho I’d wear that hoodie too) Jeez my style is so not Mob Psycho 100 material haha…

Anyways, here’re my Ajin!Teru headcanons (I ship Terumob so hard and that’s incorporated into the story lmao sorry if you don’t ship it fam~):

> During the fight with Mob, Teru actually strangled Mob to death. That was how ??? appeared (as mentioned in the original list of HC’s, ??? is a Flood all combined into one almost-unstoppable ghost).

>Teru feels really, really bad about killing Mob in that fight and is continuously trying to make up for it, even if he does so through the smallest actions (example: trying to help Mob sort out his problems, reassuring him when he’s unsure of himself as an Ajin, texting him throughout the day to check up on him, offering to help Mob study, etc)

>His ghost is very much sentient and aware of itself (sort of like Satou’s ghost is) and he treats it like another living being. Sometimes he has broken conversations with it, he asks it what clothing he should wear that day, whether or not it thinks a fight is worth getting into, and other sorts of things. 

>His ghost is thrilled by Mob’s ghost once Mob and Teru become friends. It doesn’t care that Mob’s ghost isn’t as sentient as Teru’s ghost is, and it attempts to speak with Mob’s ghost. This could be due to one of two things: 1-Teru’s affection for Mob on both a platonic and romantic level, or 2-the fact that it’s the only other ghost it’s ever seen in Teru’s life.

>When Teru had the ridiculous wig hair, his ghost would stare at it constantly. It was bothersome for Teru at first, but when the ghost got used to it, it was less distracting for the both of them.

>Teru’s ghost has very small claws in exchange for wings. The wings are nice, but the lack of large claws is a bit of a problem when fighting. Teru’s ghost is good at a martial-arts style of fighting, but claws would help a lot. 

>Ritsu threatens to burn Teru’s entire wardrobe on a daily basis. Nothing comes of this, however. What I’m trying to say here is that Teru still has a ridiculous sense of fashion

>Teru is doubted by Ritsu at first because of what he did to Mob, but Ritsu loosens up when he sees how drastically Teru changed. He basically ends up acting the way he’s described in this post. In exchange for Ritsu’s help with his attempts to open Mob’s eyes (to Teru’s feelings), Teru teaches Ritsu how to use his ghost to fight (because Mob hates fighting, and won’t teach Ritsu how to fight with his ghost). The two actually end up becoming friends. As long as Teru doesn’t wear “those god-awful clothes” when they train or when he’s with Mob, Ritsu’s fine with him. 

>In the fight with the Scars, Sakurai’s ghost was what cut Teru’s hair. It was trying to behead Teru but god damn was he ever lucky.

He’s a very unique protagonist and a v v interesting character!

But basically Kai is Kei’s childhood friend but bc of Kei’s mom, Kei stopped hanging out with Kai and shunned him n shit and Kai comes back for him anyways when Kei finds out he’s an Ajin and is being hunted down

I’m working on a comic/fanfic thing for the mp100 Ajin AU and I just need to type up the fanfic portion :3 I’m prob gonna have that up tomorrow since i have another day to goof off. 

Also I did this edit in around five minutes and it’s simultaneously the best and worst thing I’ve ever made lmao
