just finished listening to Borrasca on MrCreepypasta's channel...

never in my life have i had this visceral of a reaction to horror! im legit traumatized, sick to my stomach and so upset im about to walk into traffic

it doesn't help that the story is incredibly well written and the characters feel so real and so alive.

Not only are all the voices the original voices MCP did on his youtube channel (something I'm very particular about) but he understands the characters and he brings the story to life like no one else.

MCP knows how to handle the dramatic shifts from horrific to funny, to sad to nonsensical, to disgustingly gory and suddenly emotional.

It's truly everything any fan who listened to the OG stories could want.

Are we to a point where we can admit that while a lot of Creepypastas are formulaic and bland its just as valid and culturally relevant to internet history as Fanfiction and things like SCP? Can we admit yet that no matter how "Cringe" we began to see Creepypasta as a concept after the shortlived mainstream boom era, it has helped foster and nurture entire generations of horror writers and creatives by providing a first major creative outlet and consumer point?

And while we're at it can we also look at how that mainstream boom helped shape a lot of modern horror concepts, ideas, tools, tropes, and Gold Standards of Horror Story Telling both online and off? Can we please finally give Creepypasta creators of the Slenderman era ( EverymanHYBRID and Marble Hornets ) their flowers for taking the, at the time still fledgling and relatively unknown online artform: the ARG (Alternate Reality Game) and making genuinely compelling and completely original and stunning works???

I'd like it if people could stop looking at me like Im 12 when I mention a favorite story of mine is Tales From The Gas Station and that my personal favorite version is the original narrated by MrCreepyPasta. Because its no different than people enjoying and loving fanfiction or other online media like webseries' and webcomics. Its historically relevant whether you think its cringe or not. There are and always have been Creepypasta writers who blow the tits off established horror writers any day.

Borasca still lives rent fucking free in my head after all these years.

And I KNOW most of you motherfuckers were shit scared of BEN DROWNED and its ARG (if you were aware of it.)

I know its a silly hill to die on but its what started so many people's lifelong love of horror and a lot of horror media and pure creativity wouldn't be around if not for the humble Creepypasta.

Strange things in animal crossing-

As you probably know Animal Crossing got popular again around the time of the pandemic so just like anyone else looking for a fun new game to try I decided to play it for myself. I used to play the older generations so it was nice to feel a sense of nostalgia. Although I should mention I got it from Gamestop, I saw it in the return bin. When I asked about why it was in return the guy working just said the person returned it saying it wasn't for them. I had figured he meant they didn't like the game, I was wrong. Upon opening the box there was a faint odor of battery acid, I didn't think much of it since the game cartridge itself seemed fine. I put it in my switch and it opened like normal. The familiar Animal Crossing music played as I set up my account. Everything was working as it was supposed to no problem.

I had been playing nonstop for about a month, building up my island with new decorations and even finding some pretty cool villagers such as Punchy, he's my favorite. After a while I got kinda burnt out and didn't play it for a while, a few months at most. When I think back to it there might have been a few glitches in the beginning as well. The game loaded up like normal playing the theme, as it panned over an area of my island I noticed I didn't see any villagers which wasn't super out of the ordinary since that specific part of my island was somewhat hard to access without a ladder. I was skipping through the morning announcements not really paying attention when Issable stopped talking. I thought she was done with announcements, she started at me with a blank stare almost like she was looking directly at me. She made a shocked expression and went back to talking. I remember thinking that was strange since I never remembered her doing that before although it had been a while since I had last played it. “Maybe it was an update” I thought to myself as I continued into the main game. Once it was loaded, my character stepped out of the house with long, rough hair and shook their head. I remember seeing it on a video so I knew it was a normal thing, kinda funny as well. I started running around looking for Punchy to give a gift I had meant to give to him earlier when I was playing. I didn't see him anywhere, in fact I hadn't seen any of the villagers. I was beginning to wonder what was going on, I made my way to the row of houses I lined up. Cookie,Pancetti,Diva,and punchy. I ran over to Punchy's house and knocked on the door. A note popped up “running around, see ya later nyaa - punchy”. Weird, I hadn't seen him. I went to the other houses and they all had a similar note about being out or running around. I eventually just ran around till I eventually found them. They were all in the plaza, I didn't think they could even go into the plaza. Is that a thing? Once I went in they all looked at me with blank stares slightly unnerving. I exited out of the plaza needing to get some things at the Nook store anyways. Timmy and Tommy greet me like normal. I go over to the tool kiosk and purchase an ocarina. Timmy and Tommy start coming towards my character but it was as if they were moving extremely slow like they were stuck or maybe clipping into the floor a bit. I successfully purchased the ocarina despite them making a strange expression at it, has anyone else experienced that before? This is all new to me- maybe its normal after all I know there were some updates. I kinda shrugged it off as them being the weird twins of the game. I ran around for a bit after that and closed out of the game. I’ll update you all when I play again. This is all really weird to me.

ok ok CRING TIME I had a phase where I was rlly obssesed with JTK and I would listen to mr creepypasta's videos on them. I fucking loved it sm and I had this idea in my head where everyone in the creepypasta attended award shows and stuff and they would dress up. idk idk pretty out of the box idea. the creepypasta was a show and they were actors.
