'Caledonian Forest'

" Written by Titus Ursus, Primus pilus of Legiō IX Hispana, in the third year of Hadrian's reign (* 120 AD). This will probably be the last entry in my diary. Our legion was ambushed in the wild realm called Caledonian Forest and was almost completely annihilated. Half of my first cohort is all that was left of the IX legiō. We were pushed into the marsh and we will probably die here, fighting bravely to the end in the name of Rome and the Emperor. We were attacked by a demonic pack of the barbaric Picts. They looked more like wild beasts than humans. Some of them were dressed in animal furs, painted with strange runic signs... others seemed to be two-legged wild beasts. They tore us apart as if we were made of paper! I saw our legatus and my brothers in arms being eaten alive, I will never forget their screams. The barbarians attacked us unnoticed, quickly and with wild fury, then disappeared in the fog. Mainly at night. Our shields, swords and armor were no use here. The enemy we face seems to be the ancient wrath of some dark gods we have awakened. We should never invade these lands. I hear demonic howls, they're coming! They're coming! "

Scrap of the papyrus written by Centurion Titus Ursus. Found in October 120AD in the Caledonian Forest. Taken to Rome, where it was presented to the emperor and then burned. Two years later, Emperor Hadrian ordered the construction of a wall on the border of the land called Caledonia, in north Britannia. Coincidence? next to you is the only empty seat in the class, so they go there. What they don't know is there is a really good reason no one sits next to you anymore and you cant wait to see how long it will take for them to ask to be put somewhere else.

they sit next to you, all wide-eyed, and when you ask them what's wrong, they say they had a most vivid dream the night before, and you were in it, fighting evil warlocks or marrying them or whatever. TransferStudentTM is the one with the prophetic dreams and not you.

alternatively, same but their dreams are not prophetic at all and you were only in it because they saw you in the bus the day before but forgot they saw you and when their mind needed a random face they put yours.

TransferStudentTM goes to sit next to you but slips in a pool of water on their way, falls, sprain something and go to the nurse for the rest of the hour. Next hour you're in a class where the only free seat is next to someone else and you never get to talk to them until a week or two.

TransferStudentTM transfered because their family want them to woo, court and marry you eventually. Unbeknownst to either of you your family are political / magic / mafia rivals who either want you to marry or one wants to kill the other's kid by their own kid's hand.

TransferStudentTM starts asking weird questions (like how do you use an eraser or what's the ink made of) and you quickly discover they've been isekaied into this world when the real transfer student got hit by a bus on their way to school. They suppose the real transfer student is now living their own life as a royal highness in a fantasy land, but they can't be sure.

TransferStudentTM is from a rival clan and wants to get close to you for political reasons. The twist is, you vaguely look like (and have almost the same name, like Cate/Kate Smith/Smythe level) as their rival but you're not 'em. Sorry to dissappoint MrVampireHunter/MrWerewolf, but I'm not Louis Dubois, I'm Louie Dumois, and I've got no idea the fantastic world exists. Yeah I know the chances that we have almost the same name and we're the only two students in school with green streaks of hair is very slim but hey I'm not lying.

TransferStudentTM is your long lost sibling whose existence you don't know. Either one of you or both has been adopted, or one of you was kidnapped at the hospital and after losing hope of finding you the parents didn't tell the other they had a twin/older/younger sibling who they never got to properly meet.
