Piva Siblings!

I saw that one anon ask @sm-baby about OC siblings and I really wanted to make some for Piva!

⋄ Bibi and Agua tend to stick together a lot. Extroveter adopting the Introvert and all that.

⋄ They like each others texture you'll find them melding hands a lot!

⋄ Buttery tends to stick to the players, helping those who ask for it. She's aware of her sisters temper so she'll keep troublemakers out of Piva's hair.

⋄ Out of the four, Buttery is a fan favorite, garnering people to come ask her for photos. They take advantage of this by making people win certain games for the photo.

⋄ Ragatha thinks this is extortion, Buttery thinks its a way to keep the grounds moving and less problems for the sisters.

⋄ Bibi likes to join Pomni for some of her performances, much to Pomni's dismay (Absolutely no form or grace, its like watching a firecracker tied to a hotdog)

⋄ Agua's been dubbed the babysitter, keeping younger players company, kind of like a constant easy-mode/tutorial tips avatar.

⋄ Buttery makes herself shorter for the players by moving her access mass to fill out the skirt of her dress. She moves how a slug does, only much much faster.

so, shadow knights scars glow when they're in their SK form, as well as their eyes going entirely red. their scars don't emit much light, but there's SK's like Sasha who are practically covered in head to toe with scars (mostly due to how she died) which makes her emit a decent amount of light to walk caves

silly thing i forgot to mention is that they also have fangs (as again mentioned in gene's story). this allows them to easily consume their carnivore diet easier.

with that said, when in SK form, incomplete shadow knights tend to go feral easier than immortal ones ie. Laurence during the werewolf wedding. zenix before he gained his immortality

FORGOT TO ADD!

the redder a shadow knights eyes are, the less humanity they retain, no shadow knight is truly inhumane, even after their immortality is reached. ie. gene still has a bit of blue in his eyes.

the only person of the shadow lord's army to be TRULY inhumane is Shad himself and it shows. using young people for his bidding (zenix, brian and zane to an extent), doing whatever is necessary to fulfill his goals.

also when i meant they're stinky, i meant it, they are reanimated walking corpses after all, they typically smell of either: rot, ash, sulphur or in very rare occasions metallic (makes sense if they died with armor)

their armor is still very much a work in progress for me because all armor i've designed so far is like- normal-ish?? chainmail, iron and such

fantasy armor isn't my strong suit :sob:

what i DO know is that sergeants have a lil bandana / arm band that shows their rank

netherite DOES exist in my rewrite but it's just another type of metal, more resistant to heat and the elements and such, but extremely hard to obtain since SK's don't have access to lots of gold since it's been mostly mined out close by their fortress, but even so no shadow knight knows how to properly work the metal

the only one that figured out was vylad, who learned from a traveling group of piglins one day in his usual 'disappear until i'm most needed TM' moments even so, since he's a guy light on his feet, and armor would weigh him down a lot, he only has some leg/knee guards and shoulder guards

a further look at the rest of my fanseasons

as i was pulling up images for justice, paradise, and lune last night i came across a bunch of images for my other fanseasons. figured i might as well share them so people can see what they look like as well (at at the very least the prototype ones since i don't have accessible traditional art for most of them curse you past justie for not taking photos!)

shining hearts:

here's the first image of cure harmony, dated december 16 2018. done in the glitter cure maker

from that same day, the prototype for cure sunburst, cure elemental. i didn't feel like making up an entirely new character at the time though and i was already using an older oc for cure harmony so i was like "i'll just take another one of my mlp ocs" (which was sunburst) so elemental ended up being shoved to the side

from june 2019, the team in the happiness charge character creator by hapuriainen (i hope i spelled that right) on deviantart! this was another one of my favorite character creators, and provided the basis for many a cure design before glitter cure came out on dolldivine

we now have cure harmony (pink), cure sunburst (orange), and their midseason, cure spark (green)

time to fast forward, since we have now hit the era of the Precure Art Drought. the next time i drew any of them was cure harmony in january 2022, as one of the ms paint base pieces i did:

and then we have her again in january 2023, as part of the star twinkle trace that showed up in the paradise & lune post

harmony is in the foreground. her bangs are fluffier now but this is largely the design i've stuck with for her ever since. the blue in her hair is a reference to her days as a my little pony oc - she started out as a pink unicorn with fluffy pink hair and then i got into an argument with one of my online friends over if she looked too much like pinkie pie or not so i added the blue streak to differentiate her

and from january 2024, here's all on them on their second ost cover!

their first appearance, done in the happiness charge character creator in july 2019. left to right is splash, ocean, coral, shell, anemone.

unfortunately, none of them ever got individual glitter cure versions and aside from splash i don't draw them very often (and even with splash it's usually her in her civ form). i do have a drawing of splash in a photo of a draw the squad from 2022 (i believe it was 2022 i took the photo a long time after i drew it). i love draw the squads. i should do another one it's been way too long

borealis is in this one as well, right next to splash (splash is on the right in green, borealis is the blue one), which is a nice segue into our next fanseason

northern lights precure:

as mentioned before, northern lights actually predates the others (aside from moderation) by quite some time! i think what happened was i made them for fun, then forgot about them to focus on moderation again, and then dug them back out once i started making other fanseasons. this image is dated january 27, 2018. left to right we have aurora, shimmer, borealis, and glow

i really liked borealis's design, so she's actually got a few art pieces (unlike the others, who still sadly don't have solidified cure designs aside from their hair)

an in-progress borealis, done the same day as the character creator. i also tried making her a puzzlun cure card but i don't have a photo.

theatrical:

my beloved hacha creator shows up again. this is dated july 11, 2018, which is a lot older than i initially thought it was. theatrical was another one of those "create a team based around aesthetic and designs i think look neat and then do nothing with them afterwards until i shoved them into a lineup once i realized how many fanseasons i was piling up". this one does feature their civilian forms, which is unique! left is cure curtain and the right is cure spotlight. they stay a duo

desert sun:

poor desert sun didn't even get a character creator image. they have finalized civilian designs but not cure designs. the closest i can offer are these:

more finalized designs from a super smash bros (but it's my precures) character select screen thing i did in april 2024

supernatural:

supernatural has the same problem in that i didn't ever make a character creator thing with the full team. i think the first time they show up visually is from that same hairstyle piece as desert sun:

i unfortunately don't have a photo of moth from this set. she was on the next page. the reason this photo exists at all is because i sent it to myself as a reference for that super smash bros but precure thing, so i could use it as a reference for the hair of the cure i was drawing or go "oh that's kind of ugly actually" and create a new hairstyle. unfortunately for moth, she was on a page that only had 2 other cures and i have hers + those 2 other cures' hairstyles memorized so i didn't bother sending myself the reference

in april 2023, i tried making ghost in the glitter cure maker

and witch a few days later. no cryptid or moth, i think i lost steam after this

BUT they all have traditional art refs from around the same time. which i don't have with me now, because - say it with me - the sketchbook they're in is at home and i was a dummy who didn't think about taking a photo to make sure she always had the references with her even if she couldn't access the sketchbook

they do show up in the smash cures character select!

bonus: modpre in the hacha character creator from july 2018 because at the time no cure was immune to being made in it. i found this while searching for everything else. i'd completely forgotten about it

Okay! Verzi need money. So! Here's this.

This shitty meter here is just for a bit of transparency (Graphic design is NOT my passion), cuz people like to know where there money is going. This will fill up as with funds from my patreon (money I got this month is already there!), from commissions, and from any tips/extras given by kind souls in passing, and I need to hit these marks EVERY month for like… a year. (This is after fees and such of course, cuz god forbid we don't pay the middle-men their dues.)

A bit of info for each section under the Readmore:

-Rent and Bills: The Most Important thing to Keep Verzi Kickin'! I pay half my apartment's now $1368 rent PLUS the utilities, which range from 100~200 bucks, splitting with my aunt who works 2 jobs to make sure she pays her half. Since my mom passed away from Pancreatic cancer in 2021, this has been rough since it used to be split 3 ways.

-Dental Costs: The face bone doctors want my money after drilling holes and pulling out the insides!! My face actually feels BETTER so i'm not as mad as I COULD be about this, but this needs to be paid for the next 12 months. (And they want MORE money to do a cleaning and I almost laughed. Like, no buddy you ain't getting 750 out of me when I don't even have a refrigerator.(See Below))

-Big Purchase+Credit Card bills: It wont pay off ALL my credit card debt, but it keeps me from falling behind. Since the passing of Michael and Fred (my microwave and refrigerator respectively) I need to make some big purchases so my kitchen functions. Michael has been successfully replaced by Mikaela, and we are still looking for Fred's replacement. Ms. Frida, the chest freezer who is literally older than I am (I am 33!!) and STILL functions is holding down the fort while we look for a refrigerator. We can live without a fridge thanks to her constant service, allowing us to keep frozens. Also, like, literally on the 30th of July, Monty the Monitor must've succumbed to heatstroke so i had to buy one of THOSE too for my computer setup. I will name all my appliances to cope.

-Extra+Taxes: Once we get here, I'm in the clear for the month's expenses! However!! Taxes are due in October. I DO NOT know how much that will be, and since the whole Covid relief thing that lessened business taxes ended last year, I MAY be paying for quite a bit!! Anything past this point will be prepping for Taxes AND forming a buffer for More Happenings (God forbid).

I considered a Drive like other kink artists in these circles, but I don't like drives for several reasons and those reasons are why I've never done one in the past. Despite that, I STILL want to do something that at least feels like a reward or incentive for people keeping me Alive™, so I'm going to do some simple doodles/sketches, and possibly try to stream those doodles in my discord!

Every 100 bucks past the "Rent and Bills Paid" section (meaning at 900 dollars and onward), I will do a RANDOM drawing from any requests/suggestions from the pool made by people who threw some cash monies my way!

Suggestions can be sent in through Ko-fi messages, Paypal notes accompanying payments/donations/tips, and a Patreon-only post (they are always giving me money, so patrons have access by default!). Commissioners who send in the form can ALSO suggest something for the pool if they like! (there's a question on the form for it) Now, like all requests, it's ultimately up to my discretion on whether or not I will draw something, but I will still try to keep it random and let it be a roll of the dice (or a RNG app).

There is no minimum requirement either! So people throwing only $1 at me, buying only one Ko-fi, or dropping anything bigger are free to offer a suggestion. But please limit requests/suggestions to one entry per person.

Now, as to what these will and can be:

-It will be a simple lined sketch with one color or flat colors. Depends on how many need doing, how I'm feeling when I draw it and how complicated it is.

-It can be up to 2 characters, but they may be less refined compared to a single character one. They can be the same character in 2 different states, or 2 different characters interacting with each other.

-No private requests please! It will have to be something that can be publicly posted and that you're fine with being perceived by others.

-In terms of kinks/sizes/etc, it will be something that you'd normally see on this blog or for my work! Mileage may vary, but more extreme stuff that I'd normally avoid may be glossed over when I'm constructing the pools.

-Unlike commissions, these will not go through a WIP stage/be modified after the fact! They end up how they end up. If you wanna be nitpicky, please use this opportunity to order a full commission!

-You're allowed to suggest OCs as long as it's yours or its owner has given permission to draw them in the context I am known to put boys in!

Admittedly with this whole Armor Evolution I've decided to go into, I'm now faced with a dilemma

A. I've gone against the very thing I initially set out to do with my region originally- that is, a game without an overnight reliance on a gimmick to use as a crutch.

But being fair, if things go to plan, the armor evolutions will actually be pretty low in number compared to the amount of new fakemon and such you'd normally get. Last I did math, there's roughly 3 to 4 gens worth of new Pokemon to work with that won't require said gimmick, whereas armor evolutions so far only encompass about... 40 to 50? The region would be huge, it's an entire coast line, so it kinda has to have a lot to work with.

But also, in theory, the mechanic wouldn't really do much different in comparison to a cross Gen evolution or something. There's plenty of drawbacks to encourage you not to keep your pokemon in that form forever, and also with exception to a very select handful related to story plot, there's not really any numbers added to BST, just rearranged. Sure, it might seem a tad unfair to have access to a fully evolved starter's bst in the teens, but theoretically so would other trainer including gym leaders, rivals and such. It wouldn't be advantageous to keep it turned on constantly in that regard either, because then that makes catching pokemon harder. The beginning early 30s might seem like a cake walk, but eventually stats would start to even out and you'd have to actually use strategy again.

Plus, it's just... fun this way? I thought Dynamax was stupid because it just makes your pokemon bigger and it's just for a limited time, even with new forms. As much as I love Megas, I wish I could just keep them as is forever and treat them as new pokemon. Zmoves and Terra are cool, but not as fun as gaining a new form.

Armors in this regard would just give you more new Pokemon to enjoy semi permanently. A type change can open up your team to new members you wanted but couldn't have because of type overlap. In the event a starter evolution isn't to your liking, you can just swap to another form that is. This just opens up more doors to have fun.

But I'm still a hypocrite lol. At least it has potential to be fun.

B. It'll be a LOT like Digimon I guess. But... is that a bad thing? I like both.

As a kid, I used to pretend Flamedramon was a Pokemon anyway so I could play with it and my Pokemon toys. Likewise, I would give Pokemon additional evolutions just like Digimon- well before megas were even thought of- example being Metal Charizard or War Charizard, etc.

The region is meant to be a playground for me to mess with and explore all of my childhood fantasies about my favorite things in one place. In that regard, why shouldn't I indulge in that a bit if I can make it fair and balanced?

C. I'm now fighting the urge to make Flamedramon a Pokemon again for the first time since i was 7 lol. I think I might try it anyway, or at least indulge and try to incorporate what makes it such a cool design into a cool poke/fakemon.

I mean it'll probably never become a real playable fan game anyway, so it's just me playing with toys again except I'm making them in ms paint.

The Very Useful Watermark Feature

Whenever I bring up subject matter that involves procedures whereby the location of the feature has moved from one version of the software to another, you should know where it is situated from Version to Version of the software.

The Watermark is a very important feature that should be used to protect against wholesale copying.

Let's take a quick look at the Watermark.

If we choose to implement a watermark in MS Word, we make a decision whether we use a generic watermark such as "Confidential" "Client Copy" etc. or we can use a picture or logo type picture and finally we can use a "Custom Watermark" whereby we type in our own text such as our company name, website etc.

Note: Your Watermark will not print if you do not have the selection “Print Drawings Created In MS Word” checked. You can find this setting under File, Options, Display, Printing Options.

If we print out the file, the watermark will be visible on your hard copy. If we send the file in MS Word to someone and the file is not password protected, then someone can simply remove it. Finally, if we save the file as a PDF, then the watermark will be present in the PDF on its own layer. Again, it can be accessed and removed if you don't password protect the PDF file from editing. In Adobe Professional, this can be done under Tools, Advanced Editing Functions and choose -Touch-Up Object Tool. And one should remember the many programs that break the passwords set on both MS Word and Adobe PDF.

Keep in mind that the watermark can be implemented from the Adobe file since Adobe Professional and Nuance allow one to create a watermark in the newly created PDF.

In MS Word 2010, we find the watermark under the Page Layout Tab.

In MS Word 2013 and above, here is how to get to the watermark feature:

Click the Design tab.

In the Page Background group, click the Watermark button. A menu plops down with a host of predefined watermarks that you can safely place behind the text on your document's pages.

Choose a watermark from the long, long list or customize your own.

Note: To "flatten" the watermark so that it can not be removed! Using Adobe Professional or Nuance, In Nuance, look for the Advanced Processing Tab and select "Flatten".

In Adobe Pro, Click the Layers button, and select "Flatten Layers" from the options menu.

so like, as a fellow neurodivergent person on this post, i want to be like yes and no.

yes because i also hate the workplace culture that focuses on "looking busy" rather than actually getting work done. and yes because i hate the terrible, broken incentives set up when people are penalized for getting work done early, fully, and/or efficiently. and yes because downtime and rest are extremely important.

but like...also no because just sitting around and doing nothing when there is "no work to be done" often makes organizations fall apart. like i used to be a regular in this cafe and one employee would just sit around and do nothing when another customer came in. there was another employee though who, when there was downtime, she would wipe down the case, reorganize the contents of the case, put empty plates in the sink, wash the dishes, wash the windows on the front door. the place would have been filthy without at least one employee more like her on time

one office i worked in, i initally was overwhelmed. but then i got better at the work and i would have 3 hours left over at the end of the day. i used it to teach myself MS Access and chat with the other employees about what they did. after a few weeks i was starting to design small databases for fun. then i realized i could design useful ones. i replaced this one outdated system in our office with a new, more modern one. i worked on making it so that forms could be printed with the click of a button. i automated my job to where it took only about 3 hours a day. they wanted me to keep doing more of this. i got a raise, i got an assistant to handle the tedious stuff. at the end of the time the organization (an underfunded county agency) told me i had saved them a lot of time and money, which, because government agencies are taxpayer-funded, means either an increase in services or decrease in taxes relative to the scenario where they had to keep wasting those resources on an inefficient office.

so like...yes, i want us to value relaxation and downtime more and yes i want the point of a job to be getting work done.

but also...no...like i want us to take initiative as individuals. there is always more work that could be done somewhere, whether the "dirty work" that would make everything fall apart if no one did it, or more proactive forward-looking work that might save people a ton of resources moving forward.

i think there is a best-of-both worlds here. like in my ideal world we are all on top of our work, all having plenty of downtime and time to relax. but we also are thinking and noticing new work that could be done and new ways to do work and we are improving and innovating and work is getting easier and the world is getting to become a better and better place over time.

seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything
