I agree with what Keith said about Panthers, yet not only do I think this definitely wasn't the right time to do this, I also find it funny that Matthew was so fucking miserable in Calgary, he had to "change" the way he plays to please his old captain and some veterans of the team, Treliving wanted Matthew to be the new captain last season, but Sutter said no(and the only reason was bc he didn't like Matthew and everyone knew it), and as the coach has last word, he was not chosen as captain, even after years of hearing that he would succeed Giordano. And yet he never said anything publicly about any of these situations. Like his son was in a toxic environment, his mental health was clearly not a priority, he played multiple times injured, but missing the playoffs and being “soft” is where he draws the line?
