Okey originally it was meant to be separate (Dirkkat and Jakekat) but the idea of Dirkjakekat sounds so fucking Bad that I need to think about it more

Like, how would it happen? Did Karkat auspitices for Dirk and Jake before he ended up getting feelings for the two of them? Was Jake or Dirk buddies with Karkat that they ended up becoming moirails and then more? Like sorry but Karkat would be like the odd one out in the relationship hfskjd how did it even happened was he invited into the relationship? Did he just bud in trying to give romantic advice? I'm crying lmao

I feel like this relationship would be SO BAD for everyone involved like I can't see it ending well for any of them, like maybe if they're adults? As we don't really know how they would be as adults but god even there I can't imagine it

Finally made an x-reader blog! This one is a bit different from others, since it's *completely* focused on quadrants other than flushed. Interquadrant/multiquadrant relationships and vacillation involving redrom are fine, but if you want to get down with someone solely heart-style you're in the wrong place. (Requests about plain matespritship will be deleted without fanfare.) I *may* take requests for non-Homestuck characters, but that depends on whether or not I'm familiar with the source.

No DNI, everyone can interact as long as they're kind. I will write just about everything (including things illegal to act on IRL) other than anything overly explicit or fetishistic. Let me know if there are any tags to add.

Davekat headcanon bc I'm basic:

Dave needs glasses. Like, actual glasses, not just shades. He wasn't able to get them with bro (obviously) and he hid it on the meteor bc he didn't even really realize it. And obviously karkat noticed like immediately like : "WHAT THE FUCK???? GET GLASSES?????" and Dave was like "nah dude its always been like this im good--" The second they're on Earth C karkat forces him to get prescription shades and Dave just. Doesn't know how to react now that he can actually see.

moirails are great!!  at the risk of starting a discourse and attracting too many vantases  because in fairness im not best equipped to explain alternian romance  a moirail is like a platonic soulmate!  its sort of i think loosely comparable to a human best friendship that comes with actual romantic commitment and exclusivity  or i suppose deliberate lack thereof if you practice multiquadranting but i do not so thats irrelevant here!  essentially a more formally significant version of best friend that permits them more social status and preference in connection to you with the extra commitment expected to match

last night before bed i read this adorable gamdave blackrom (yeah, you read that right) and subsequently spent my whole morning at work spinning meteorstuck au concepts and sorting the crew into fun combinations of rare ships in every quadrant, simultaneously delighting in the possibilities and bemoaning the fact that there isnt more fic to be found exploring them (and mentally editing my drone season signup accordingly)

and then i read the latest chapter of this wonderful davekat fic by @megalaurasaurasrex on my way home and was absolutely thrilled, it has so much of what i love and long for in meteorstuck stories--a true ensemble cast, a complicated web of relationships and interactions among them, messy multiquadrant xenoromance--and its very different from the ideas id been dreaming all morning, but it gives me the same kind of feeling

theres such a vast space of possibility to explore and invent in the gaps of canon. i know a lot of people hate the way homestuck skipped or skimmed over huge chunks of time, but i love what can come of leaving so much to fans imaginations, i love the sheer creative variety of answers we can come up with for the questions that canon left open.

Thinking about those possibilities, coupled with the fact that kankri is celibate, and that Hal has dysmorphia fills me with dread on how they will ever work out, and yet I have faith that it WILL, somehow, eventually. such drama. Hm.  I would say multiquadrant, I guess?  Quadrant-vacillating might also work.

On the one hand I mostly let their interactions go where they want, and feelings are messy and nuanced and changeable. On the other hand I have some definite ideas on their individual perspectives and habits around how relationships should go, and how those are likely to mesh, and I also definitely have had particular quadrants in mind for some of the specific interactions I’ve written for them.

Headcannon time.

Ghb feelings towards Darkleer were never clear. Darkleer had to respond as kismesis in order to not be culled out of boredom, but he could easily find someone to rely on when needed, at times Ghb would feel and see Darkleer as his lover.

This was broken when Darkleer spared Disciple causing Ghb to hate him yet he could not bring himself to cull him and exiles him.

It was then when they finally got into a dysfunctional black quadrant wich allowed Ghb to feel flushed for Redglare.

And Darkleer meanwhile was distracted from it by Mindfang in a (funny) dysfuctional and fail moirailance

Redglare dies > Ghb stops having contact with Darkleer

Mindfang dies > Darkleer gets no information at all about how it happened, the only thing he knows its that it was his Summoner and taking advantage of him knowing a few things about Summoner’s plan he contacts Ghb again telling what he knew about Summoner and allowing Ghb to make a plan to counteratack before the rebellion even started.

Even if Ghb was victorious Pyralsprite did wounded him but the beast that once belonged to Redglare was culled by someone who could have precision and enough strengh to pierce the beast’s hard skin.

Darkleer heals Ghb wounds after the rebellion is stopped.

I shall not imply that they become lovers.

They either remain as friendemies or the fact of staying alone without any other troll by their side makes their feelings clear again in flushed quadrant seeing Disciple either dies many sweeps before Darkleer or she just hates him for what he did and he could not get the courage to apologize to her, or they simply become good friends again in pale quadrant.

Ghb <3< Summoner c3< Darkleer should totally happen though.

This answers to questions I know :D but it can be a start or way to ship them in any quadrant (althought it starts being definetly not cool.)
