Conn - Multi-Vider
"All the way back in 1967, C.G. Conn wanted in on the decidedly nascent effects scene, and they wanted to do so with a bang. The company partnered with Jordan Electronics of Alhambra, CA to release an octave effect for wind instruments. The resulting circuit is a truly interesting piece of gear history. It needs to be said that Conn went into manufacturing, thereby ending its partnership with Jordan (at least according to all the paperwork) and the result was two different MultiViders. The differences on the surface are minute: the first model is grey and looks like a piece of dictation equipment, offering “bright” and “dark” input modes, a top-mounted Sensitivity control, and a plethora of battery gadgets. By contrast, the much cooler-looking model “914” did away with the frequency selector, opting for a switch called Unison and a power supply input.
Both models contain “Soprano,” “Bass” and “Sub Bass” switches, and corresponding volume for each. The 914’s Unison mode is essentially a dry signal control. The “grey box” model is a little more convoluted about it but the job is effectively identical. However, the way these two models go about these identical tasks in different—yet similar—ways.
This original “grey box” model contains a duo of ersatz flip-flop circuits, which the unit relies on for its octave down effects. The circuit utilizes some rather intense gain staging to convert the signal to a crude square wave and then use the flip-flops to divide the frequency in half and then in half again. In the later 914 model, much of this circuit is switched to a CD4013 chip, an all-in-one CMOS device. It’s interesting that the first draft of the MultiVider contains what amounts to a discrete imagining of the CD4013, and what it all adds up to is the first-ever octave effect for an electronic instrument. There’s also a wah inductor on the 914, which is connected to the sub-octave circuit somehow; I dare not remove the board due to extreme rocker switch fragility. I love stuff like this.
For as cool as this whole thing sounds, there are some drawbacks, as one might expect with the first pedal of any type. As previously stated, the MultiVider is a horns-only instrument, as is to be used with Conn’s proprietary woodwind pickup. While the “grey box” model serves up a battery option, the 914 is adapter-only, and it’s a doozy—only a 12-volt eighth-inch style phone plug will do. Thankfully there are workarounds for both; if you can solder, the power situation is a cinch and the microphone issue can be circumnavigated by hitting the MultiVider with a hotter input signal. Even then, a large belt clip on the back of the unit dictates its preferred method of implementation. With all that said, synth players are at an automatic advantage with modernizing the MultiVider.
Of course, the MultiVider was an advanced device for its time, and so it was used by artists that had explored brass instruments to their fullest. In particular, the MultiVider was used by Zappa’s band, the Mothers of Invention. It was also used by Miles Davis on 1970’s The Complete Jack Johnson Sessions. Of course there are others, but with a resume like that, stick to your strengths."

And Gift 3! Sorry for the delay - I lost my preview and it was too late to make a new one 😂 As I mentioned in a few posts, I have been dabbling with object defaults and I am really excited to share some of my results with you! So!
Trottco 27" Multivid IV Television replaced with @veranka Amovitamsim 3t2 conversion of Tabular TV edit (the middle sized one)
There are a few more like-for-like defaults for this TV set but as non-flat screen TVs are hard to come by these days, this is a more useful replacement in my game and I figured some others might feel the same.
Unfortunately, there are a few caveats to this replacement. As the original TV sits on the floor, this replacement does the same and I couldn't work out how to place it on surfaces. If you're using the shiftable everything mod however, you can wall mount it, or position it above a table (which I did for this preview). If anyone knows how to make it placeable on surfaces though and wants to tinker with it, I'd be super appreciative! The other thing is sims can't work out with this TV and for the life of me I can't work out why... Apart from that, all other interactions work great 😊 Price unchanged as I always felt Veranka's pricing of $137 or whatever was way too cheap and sims have far too much money anyway lol. I used the Free Time version of this TV so this might not be base game compatible.
Compact Stereo by Lo-Fi Audio replaced with @simsco Charging Stations as Stereos (version 2)
This is one of my favourite stereos to use in teen bedrooms and felt really fitting! So I decided to default this as well. This, from my testing, seems to have no issues (huzzah 😌). Again I kept the price point the same as my 4 minutes of googling seemed to suggest that's how much charging docks like this seem to cost.
I didn't change the in-game descriptions because they are super funny so it felt a shame to get rid of them when their replacements didn't have witty alternatives. i did however add the name of the replacement, the original creator and my name just so you can trace where it was from if you have any issues.
I'd like to thank @themediocresulk for their awesome tutorial. Thank you @veranka and @simsco for the conversions. I hope you guys enjoy this and thank you for the 2500+ milestone again! x

Goodbye 2019. Hello 2020.
So this is a very personal video I made about this year, and kind of a summary of the lessons I went through. If you’d like a more in depth description, I wrote it all out on Youtube. But for now, in short, this is my message for all of you;
things can be really, really hard. But I made it through, and I’m doing so much better now, and you can too.
Happy New Year Everyone.

Vidding absolutely counts as a fandom, and Escapade is key to the history of vidding.
Notice how the terminology shifts over the course of Escapade: The first year, it’s ‘songtapes’ being shown, then ‘songvid’ or ‘song video’ predominates for much of the 90s, and then we move on to ‘vidding’ and ‘vids’.
The vidshow moves from being more of a curated presentation of old favorites to having a lot of premieres. It goes from just one night to two, then back to one. Vidshow panels where you just watch vids for a whole panel slot come and go. In 1998, vid review starts up: This is a Sunday morning panel for in-depth critique of the vids shown the previous night and is a famously contentious part of the con. And then there was this:
2002, Friday, 6pm - VividCon Discussion (Come discuss the proposed VividCon, tentative time/location, August/Chicago.)
Yep. Escapade was where Vividcon was born!
By 2008, people were talking about how vidding had moved on from Escapade. In 2011 a vidshow retrospective was added to try to counter the lack of vidding-centric programming. There was a big resurgence for a few years, including such hard-hitting topics as:
2016 - Vidding Aesthetics (”Why is there so much show audio in this vid?", "Why didn't that cut hit on the beat?", "What do you mean 'Cheesy?' She's Celine Dion!" and other immortal questions of vidding aesthetics. If you've ever watched a vid, we want your opinions.)
Why yes, it was my panel. Why do you ask?
There were rounds of warnings wank, caused by Oz vids and by that time Absolute Destiny sent a vid of a violent coming of age film.
Check out this 1994 panel description from Fanlore:
"[The technology in fandom panel] included several things that people can now do in-home that they couldn't do five years ago: cutting and splicing songs on Macintosh computers (to remove inappropriate choruses, verses, or the word "girl"); the soon-to-be-easier ability to select different people from different clips and combine them onto a new background (also for songtapes); printing vhs video frames directly to computer screens, printers and/or color copiers (for fun); and zines and/or libraries on disk. Most of the new technology possibilities were followed by comments that the actual work we can do is illegal [...]. Which comments were followed by the statements that seventeen years ago, writing and publishing a slash fanzine was illegal.... [...] a few people [...], talked to me at different times throughout the con about getting accounts or modems [...]”
This is interesting not just technologically but aesthetically. Is the word ‘girl’ bad in a slashvid? Different communities have disagreed.
Conversations about digital vidding and digital vs. VCR really heated up around 2001, much later than you might expect if you’re coming out of an AMV background. While most of Youtube vids on Sony Vegas--a Windows-only program--at Escapade, Mac has been the norm.
The topics that have remained big are vidding aesthetics, including things like how to make an effective pimp vid, discussions of hosting options and where the community is hanging out now, and how-tos for people who want to get into vidding.
(And before anyone asks, the answer is that you should download DaVinci Resolve because it’s free and cross-platform. And you should encode with h.264 because it’s widely compatible.)
The 2020 vidding panels are:
Vidding 101: The Vid Bunny Farm So you’ve had an idea, and it’s gnawing on your leg? Or maybe you have too many vid ideas and can’t choose? Or you want to make a vid but don’t know where to even start? Aspiring fan vidders, unsure-vidders-to-be, and experienced vidders welcome alike to share vid bunnies, brainstorm together, and talk about the processes of conceptualizing a vid.
Vidding Genres Then & Now We’ve come a long way from “living room vids” vs ‚”con vids‚” or have we? Let’s talk about evolving fanvid genres, from ship vids to AU vids to multivids, from character vids to fake trailers, from genre-bending vids to long form vids to cosplay music videos, and more. Let’s talk about all the genres of fan videos floating around YouTube, Billibilli, AO3 and beyond, and also consider if the old school genre terms still apply.
Escapade has had many, many vidding panels. So many that even I feel the need for a readmore. I’ve pulled out the meta ones and left off some single-fandom vidshows and whatnot. Sorry for the wonky formatting, but Tumblr, in its infinite wisdom, seems to have removed the horizontal rule feature.
1991 - "Classic" songtapes were shown at 9:00 on Friday.
1994 - Song Video Roundtable (Bring works in progress or finished works you're having difficulty with for a quick jump-start. Open to anyone who enjoys videos as well as the people who make them.)
1994 - Songvid Editing (Authors get edited and usually have to do at least one rewrite of a story. Artists have erasers. What stops songvid makers from doing drafts and re-edits of their work? Let's talk about editing style (what cuts to use for best emphasis) and technique (how to physically do the inserts.)) [Notice how much of an issue editing is. These are VCR vids, edited in order, so insert edits are a gigantic pain.]
1995 - Techno Vids—Media Cannibals, (What's available with the new computer hardware and software? Can have Bodie & Doyle screwing on screen if we apply the right touches. Should we? How and when?) [Yes. Sweatily. Always.]
1995 - Video Workshop (video makers & watchers discuss the art.)
1996 - Music Video Critique and Workshop (Roundtable critique of videos, how to tell/recognize story, POV, rhythm. Also, tricks of the trade.)
1997 - Music Choice for Song Vidding (Finding the right song for the fandom is almost as great a challenge as finding the right clips for the song. Discussing what to look for in music choice.)
1997 - Songvid Critique (An exploration of different elements of media vids, with an emphasis on aesthetics. We'll look at segments of different songs to see how the images were used in conjunction with the varied rhythms of the music, and to enhance the mood.)
1998 - Media Cannibals Self-Indulgence Hour (Stunned to look back on vidding effort, MC plans to show -- and talk about -- some of their best and worst vids, pointing out some happy accidents and some annoying f*ckups. This is a great panel for people who want to learn about vid-making, the work that goes into them, and what to look for when watching them.)
1998 - Con Vids vs Living Room Vids (What are the elements that make a music vid accessible to a large crown, or more appropriate to an intimate setting?)
1998 - Music Video Show Review (Selected vids from Saturday's show will be replayed and discussed for their aesthetic, technical and musical choices. Open to all, for feedback and fun.) [Perhaps the start of the Sunday vidshow critique, which was also such a feature of Vividcon?]
1999 - Songvid Aesthetics (An exploration of theme, color, mood, and rhythm. Choosing clips to relate to the music and convey your message to the viewer.)
1999 - Sunday Morning Vid Review (Selected vids from Saturday's show will be replayed and discussed for the aesthetic, technical and musical choices. Open to all, for feedback and fun.)
2000 - Vidding Basics (Or "you want to learn how to make a music vid, huh?"—Carol and Stacy will take a group of novice vidders from the basics of what you need on your VCR, to all your hardware set ups, thru the selection of music, to actually doing some hands-on putting a dip (or two) into a music vid. So if you're interested in music videos and you want to try your hand at making one... you know what panel you need to go to.)
2000 - Songvid Appreciation 101 (Remember Art Appreciation? "Why is this painting good?" Well, we're doing the same for vids, using examples from the ESCAPADE Video Show. Let's take advantage of the fact that we've all just seen these vids, and use them to illustrate how to do cool things in a vid. We'll look at clever POV changes, appropriate choice of music to theme, skillful uses of musical changes within a vid, storytelling techniques, changes of mood, cutting on the beat vs. cutting on the lyric line, the different approaches to serious and humorous vids, or single fandom vs. multiple fandom vids, and more.)
2001 - Vidding Workshop (2 hours) (This workshop will cover: a comparison between digital and analog vidding; a how-to for analog vidding; a how-to for digital vidding; and a discussion of the artistic side of vidding, including song and clip choices, and techniques to avoid.)
2001 - Impact of Computer Tools on Vidding (Vidding used to be push-and-pause between 2 vers, and a LOT of patience. Now with I-movie and Final Cut and Macintosh G4's, the technological leap is here and it isn't going anywhere. Are vids better for the technology available to them?)
2001 - Songvid Appreciation (2 hours) (Comments and feedback on vids you saw last night, Escapade style.)
2002 - Art Manipulation Using Photoshop (A how-to overview, with demonstrations in Photoshop, and more detailed techniques for creating photo manipulations, web graphics, and zine graphics. Depending on interest, creation of vid titles and overlay vid graphics may be included.)
2002 - Digital Vidding (An overview of the digital vidding process, including some advice on the hardware and software you need to get started. Learn the basics of editing with Premiere and similar programs, and get an overview of some of the fun options you have when using a computer to vid.)
2002 - Vidding Workshop: Art After Craft (What is the Art of Vidding?)
2002 - Vid Revision (The art and craft of revising vids—how you get from a song in your heart and a bunch of clips on your hard drive to the final product. We'll show multiple versions of a few vids, critique them, and talk about what improves a vid. No technical knowledge needed; come whether you make vids or just like watching them.)
2002 - Vids: Pro vs Fan Editing (A long time fan vidder and a professional editor discuss techniques.)
2002 - Sunday Morning Vid Review
2002 - VividCon Discussion (Come discuss the proposed VividCon, tentative time/location, August/Chicago.) [VVC started 6 months later, in August 2002, and ran until 2018]
2003 - How to Vid on the Computer (A brief intra vidding on computers. It will touch on hardware requirements, software options, and basic concepts of non-linear editing and what makes for a good vid, and, time and tech permitting, it may also include a demonstration of some of the editing basics. There will be handouts.)
2003 - Vid Show Review (A discussion (and literal re-viewing in some cases) of some of the vids from the Saturday night show.)
2003 - Also Premiering Vid Show (The "Also Premiering..." vid show is for vids premiered in the last year that aren't going to be shown in the Friday or Saturday shows. This will be an informal setting and we'll go by participant preference — if folks want to see a vid a second time, or want some time to chat about it, or if a vidder wants some feedback on it, we can decide to do that on-the-fly. If you'd like to show any vids in this show, just bring them to the show itself. There are no hard-and-fast limits on number of vids; we'll just go with what shows up and take turns until we run out of time. Afterwards, consider going out to lunch with other participants to talk about the vids!)
2004 - I want to vid! (But I don't know how) (Introduction to vidding hardware, software and maybe some concepts if we have the time.)
2004 - Made On a Mac: The MacFen Symposium (So you're a slasher and a Mac user. Come and share your tips and tricks for HTML coding, photo editing, website management and vidding on a Mac, Share the programs that have and haven't worked for you and hear some helpful tips from the front lines.)
2004 - Vidding: Creating Mood (Why do rapid cuts of short clips create tension? What does a wipe *feel* iike? A vidder's toolbox Includes more and more options, but how do we know what emotional effect each technical effect will produce? Leave the music at the door; this one's about the visuals.)
2004 - Editing Techniques and Vidding (How can you edit together clips from widely different episodes and movies into a seamless whole? A familiarity with concepts in filmmaking can help you achieve the results you're aiming for. A look at some of the common rules of continuity editing and how they relate to vids.)
2004 - The changing face of vids (How has increasingly cheap technology, wider highspeed access and the new flood of vidders changed vidding? What should we rejoice about and what should we worry about? How do we help make it a winning situation for all?)
2004 - Vid Review (A retrospective on the Saturday night show.)
2005 - Vidding: Let the Lyrics Help You (How to look at lyrics to add depth and structure to your vid. or why top 40 songs usually make you do all the work.)
2005 - Vid Review (A Sunday morning tradition at Escapade, and a chance to discuss those great vids.) [See how it’s a “tradition” by this time.]
2006 - The Changing Vid Audience (The move to digital vidding, the availability of vid source and software, and the expectation of online distribution have all radically affected audience desires and expectations. What do audiences want from vids now? Vidders, share your historical perspectives. Vid fans, this is your chance to tell vidders what you want.)
2006 - Defining the Character Study Vid (We love character study vids, so how do you go about making a good one? What's the difference between a vid about a character, a vid about a universe, and a vid about seeing the universe through the eyes of a character?)

2011 - Escapade Songvid Retrospective (A trip back to the days of yesteryear, when vids were made on VCRs and Escapade was the place for vids and vid programming. Compiled by Kandy Fong, this show will survey vids from a variety of vidders and shows, covering Escapade 1992-2001 in a fun, informal environment.)
2011 - Decoding Vid Meaning (How do you read a vid? Clip choice, lyrics, structure, symbols or the tone of the music— vids offer plenty of clues, and we decipher them as we see fit. 2012 - Vidwatching 101 (Vids have their own language and their own framework for discussion. It can be tough to translate vids into words, but if we have the same language, vid discussion can be wonderfully rewarding for both vidder and viewer. This panel is a primer to get us all on the same page.)
2012 - The State of Vidding Fandom (Ten years of VividCon and roughly the same years vids have been distributed online, let's talk about the state of vidding and the community of vidders. Gene Ammons: Just Jazz 1970
This 1970 Just Jazz program produced by Dan Morgenstern in Chicago purports to be the only video of Gene Ammons, although I think his early ‘70s Montreux appearances are floating around somewhere. Unfortunately, Ammons is using one of those varitone or multivider electronic attachments on his tenor, but his playing is wonderful, as is that of guitarist George Freeman.

I wanted to make a multivid for RevelCon because their theme this year was “wedding”. I couldn’t think of any good wedding songs, so I went with reception and did the Cha Cha Slide.
I wasn’t sure whether to do character left/right or audience left/right, I ended up doing audience because it felt more consistent.

Updated to AKSOR4 on 9/7/2023
Next I decided to finally get around to recoloring one of the TVs! ;>.< If you want these recolors to work for the TV as well as the TV stand, you’ll need Hafise Azale’s CEP Extras (1). They come in all 110 colors of the AKS Object Rainbow 4 (2). A few colors/actions are borrowed from others; each individually packaged recolor file is labeled with the original creator, palette, and name, but it’s all abbreviated so check the included documentation to fill in the missing letters.
If you would like all 110 recolors individually packaged, you can download them here: http://simfil.es/2552775/
If you would like all 110 recolors in 1 package, you can download them here: http://simfil.es/2552777/
The preview picture, swatches, and color info are included with both downloads. I own nothing so you can’t sell it. :)

Ten Records That Changed My Life
Why does this feel so ... soul-shriving?
Anyway, the list is chronological to the best of my recollection. It begins when I'm 15. It ends in August of 2018. I'm probably forgetting some things. It's been a long time.
Copland: Rodeo/Billy The Kid; New York Philharmonic; Leonard Bernstein, conducting: We were rehearsing selections from Copland's Rodeo in youth symphony. This marked the first time I ever heard a recording of a piece I was rehearsing (God bless my hometown library). The very idea that I was playing music that Leonard Bernstein had conducted was unimaginably powerful. Suddenly, music, which had always been exhilarating was serious business, too.
Thank You, Music Lovers; Spike Jones: I have my dad and, once again, the La Habra Library to thank for this one. A record that, in effect, was the obverse of the Copland, with serious musicians doing unabashedly-silly stuff without ever abandoning classical rigor.
Roses In the Snow; Emmylou Harris: My dad was country. My mother was not. After a 16-year middlebrow reign of terror, during which country music was banned on our stereo and tolerated on the great god, television, this is the record that reminded me I like things twangy af.
Clannad; Self-titled: 1983. On a drive through Mendocino, a friend popped this cassette into the player, and I was instantly smitten. As the reviewer says, I've grown out of this record in favor of stuff that's at once more traditional and more experimental, but this is where my love of Irish folk music began.
Without Clannad, I wouldn't have seen The Chieftains in concert twice, wouldn't have tuned in to Thistle and Shamrock every Saturday night for years. And I wouldn't have understood nearly as much about bluegrass going in.
Sun City; Artists United Against Apartheid: Despite being born into a conservative family, I've been a liberal for as long as I can remember.
My particular brand of liberalism never extended to corrupt charitable efforts, however; the rampant misuse of the monies collected for the No Nukes campaign left me wary of vanity charities. Did they know what they were talking about? Did they care?
A few years later, conservative acquaintances tried to get me to abandon my commitment to Live Aid by sharing stories of foodstuffs left rotting on the docks at Addis Ababa, thanks to self-satisfied rock star incompetence.
It wasn't until years later that those stories were not only proven false, but politically motivated, as well.
When the Sun City record premiered, I hung on to my money, went once again to my local library, and read everything about South Africa I could get my hands on. I satisfied myself that I had a reasonable grasp of the issues, albeit primarily from the perspective of literary and liberal South African whites. You see, apartheid extended to the arts, too.
Armed with this knowledge, I began cautiously to listen to what Artists United Against Apartheid had to say. I devoured every excerpt of this documentary that MTV cared to televise. At last, I satisfied myself that they knew what they were doing, and were fully committed to getting it done. I bought the vinyl and the VHS. I believe my money was well spent.
Whenever some rebel with a cause comes calling, this is, now and forever, how I handle it.
The Peace Album; Paul Horn: I was burned out on music. I would see local bands on stage and go home just-below-boiling jealous. Thank God I had the maturity to ask myself just what I would do up there if I had the chance.
I had no idea.
Then, I heard this record, and got excited about music -- about performing -- again. This kind of choral singing with flutes was what I wanted to do.
So, I tracked down a Conn Multivider just like Paul Horn used -- only to discover that I'd have to drill holes in my flute to connect the thing.
Yeah, no.
I conferred with fellow musicians who were infinitely more tech-savvy than I. Did I really have to risk ruining the flute I'd had since fifth grade to get this sound? They concurred that I did.
Yeah.
No.
I had a funeral in my mind. I'm still not over it.
Roll In My Sweet Baby's Arms; Jimmy Martin: This and the next two records hit me like a ton of bricks. They brought me not only to bluegrass, but back to my musical self. This one had the high lonesome sound, and the punishing bluegrass technique, but it had something more: rock 'n' roll energy. You could do that?
Turns out you could. Music that came up in approximately the same time frame as my dad did, could be dangerous.
The very idea set my brain on fire. On further examination, I discovered that my dad's music sounded a lot more hip and a lot less out of date.
It seems that the big band singers who were Bill Monroe's contemporaries had grown up listening to the blues too.
Wait A Minute; The Seldom Scene: This bluegrass wasn't dangerous -- unless you were the kind who stole lunch money and beat up younger kids.
Written by banjoist and L.A. session stalwart, Herb Pedersen. "Wait A Minute" was 70s-sensitive and classically precise (Tenor vocalist, John Duffey, had picked up a few vocal tricks from his dad, who sang in the chorus of the Metropolitan Opera). Just what I, a die-hard fan of 19th century Russian classical music, needed in order to remember myself in the midst of the vernacular.
Tiny Broken Heart; Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerard: In spite of everything, I felt something was missing from bluegrass. I had no idea what it was until I heard this song. Then and now, bluegrass is at its best when it is sharing the stories of forgotten and downtrodden folks.
All Or Nothing; The Small Faces: A record that simultaneously brought me back to rock 'n' roll, and reminded me of the energy and emotional truth I first heard in bluegrass. Just what I needed after 12 years of forsaking all others for the love of Bill, Ralph, Jimmy, and The Scene.
My standards are exacting, but I do best when my palette is big and varied. Since the Small Faces were virtually unheard of in the States, their music satisfied my urge for discovery. And soul.
I should end things here with some kind of summarizing paragraph. Trouble is, it's not over yet.

Damon is so trifling {1x02 Review}
Hi all! Welcome to the second review of TVD season 1. Considering that I haven’t like sat down to watch a full episode of the past seasons of TVD in a few years and my memory might not be the greatest I think I will start with my usual disclaimer: I will write my thoughts in real time so if I make a mistake at the beginning of this post, it will be corrected by the end. There will be anti-Damon and anti-Delena sentiments (I’m only mentioning these two because it’s the beginning of the series), I will probably bring up other shows and call attention to misogynoir, racism, anti-blackness etc. Ready? Let’s go.
1. OMG Help I’m Alive is playing in the opening scene. It takes me back.
2. I forgot that we actually get to see randoms in the opening scenes before, you know, Damon kills them.
3. Actually very cinematic openings. WOW. Totally forgot.
4. Elena’s face at remembering the all-night conversation she had with Stefan is just so affected, like that conversation changed her entire life.
5. “Do I look adult?” Jenna, WHO is the guardian?
6. “Something about a woodshop to finish a bird house ... There is no woodshop is there?” Jenna, your nephew is a fucking drug dealer, how do you not know there is no woodshop? How uninvolved ARE you?
7. Elena smiling being caught by Tanner for staring at Stefan is SO cute.
8. I don’t know how people keep maintaining that SE had no buildup, they’re talking about Charlotte Bronte right now. You know, sharing interests?
9. Stefan you are so OBVIOUS, does your head have to go upward when you hear “vampire’? Play it cool.
10. “Six classes, that’s hard to do...” Jenna, it is not hard to skip six classes.
11. Tanner may be a dick but him questioning Jenna’s parenting abilities is giving me life because girl, what the fuck are you doing?
12. Stefan’s jeans are better, thank God.
13. Isn’t there a panic button in the room? Why would Matt have to go outside for the nurse? So Stefan can go in. Lol, details.
14. LOL Bonnie’s scandalized expression at Caroline’s “Just jump his bones already!” is everything.
15. Jeremy legit just walked out of the room, no respect for Jenna whatsoever.
16. Not gonna lie, Matt looks good in that shirt in the hospital with Vicki. He had potential.
17. The girl who plays Vicki is not a convincing actress.
18. Jeremy looks so young.
19. Lol, Elena, Stefan, guys, PHONES EXIST. Dorks.
20. Seriously, all Damon does is terrorize Elena. Also how do vampires get doors to close without humans hearing them?
21. DAMON’S HAIR IS RIDICULOUS. It looks like a goddamn bird’s nest.
22. And Ian looks really old compared to Nina.
23. Those stupid fucking eyebrows. I want to punch him, man.
24. “I know I should’ve called, I just...” at least they mention phones lmao.
25. Ian’s eyes are not expressive, he just waggles his eyebrows a lot.
26. Paul actually managed to make Stefan look like a rock solid statue when he was glaring at Ian, like he is seriously underrated as an actor.
27. Jeremy, just because you have a hood doesn’t mean you were invisible.
28. “Quit skipping class or you’re grounded.” No, Jenna, he gets grounded FOR skipping class. Girl, bye.
29. Really though, Damon legit fucked up Vicki’s life.
30. We actually see random people in MF, like there are OTHER people in the town.
31. Elena’s outfit is on point.
32. “I get around” is playing back, lmao I made a multivid to this song. HAHAHA.
33. “Is she worth it, uncle Stefan? This girl you came back for?” Seriously, this is important. Stefan’s life has become way more chaotic because he has to know Elena, he’s risking a lot so he can get to know her and it’s the second episode, the Us Against The World, Profound Love is BUILT INTO the narrative.
34. Oh yes, give Vicki some pills in the Grill and Vicki take them there too like y’all aren’t in public.
35. It seriously is a big deal that Jeremy is a dealer and the show is treating it like it’s just a phase, no it’s juvie, at the very least probation!
36. I like the SE candle meeting for a few reasons. Firstly, I find it very poetic and beautiful, the joining of two flames only to realize you’re connecting to your soulmate. Secondly, Ninas fucking eyes, man, the way they shine? The way her mouth parts? And Paul’s eyes, that smile on his face... This is legit chemistry.
37. I always think I can eat and watch something but I always get distracted and this bulgogi and rice is liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
38. I think a really underrated scene is when Stefan tells Elena that the comet has been travelling all alone and Elena responds, “Yeah, Bonnie says it’s a harbinger of evil” and then has this look on her face like omg, WHY would you SAY that to him? Totally stupid thing to say! Cause we all have those moments where you say something awkward to the person you’re vibing on and you’re like ... So I’ll just go die in a corner somewhere.
39. I also really like that when Elena says, “You seem to spend a lot of time apologizing” Stefan doesn’t deny it, he’s just like “I have a lot to apologize for”, I mean he’s honest about his faults.
40. And the show actually did a good job with this scene showing how Elena is building walls around Stefan, she refuses to look at him, she keeps talking about getting hurt, she’s being forcefully guarded and then later on she decides she can’t do that forever and that she has something really special with Stefan even if it’s new. I never got that sense with DE especially since there was no grey area there, with Stefan, there IS a grey area like, you can decide to be without him and be away from the complexity of his existence and be unhappy or you can be with him, be in love but deal with chaotic circumstances, pick one, with DE it’s just like so be with the man who terrorized you friends and family or don’t be with the man who terrorized your friends and family.
41. I actually finished my beef and rice at the same time and I am HAPPY because usually they don’t give you enough bulgogi or they don’t give you enough rice.
42. Elena was looking for you to tell her “um that’s a bullshit excuse” though, Stefan.
43. Damon’s. Hair. Is. Ridiculous.

44. Elena stop “threatening” Jeremy with therapy and send his ass to therapy.
45. LOL Stefan is actually REALLY intimidating because he just STARES and he’s all chiselled and intense-eyed. Matt is there babbling about looking out for Elena and Stefan’s just STARING and Matt’s like ... ... ...
46. Like how many times is Damon going to fucking terrorize Vicki?
47. OK so I get that Stefan’s compulsion on Vicki was weak because he didn’t feed from a human so does that mean when Damon tells her to think really hard, she broke the compulsion and then Damon can re-compel her to think Stefan bit her? Because in 1x17 Damon says he can’t compel an already compelled person to let him into the house. So.
48. Damon is fucking ridiculous and trifling.
49. He isn’t even funny or charming, he’s just ANNOYING and unnecessarily homicidal.
50. Jenna, having a freakout about parenting your teen niece and nephew to your teen niece is ridiculous, like how are you asking your teen niece to walk you through parenting her? LIKE OMG.
51. I don’t even get what Jeremy sees in Vicki though.
52. Yeah, not a fan of Caroline’s yellow dress and black boots. Glad her wardrobe got better in season 2.
53. Seriously, the way Elena looks at Stefan.
54. And Stefan looks at Elena with such intense focus, I would be so tongue-tied.
55. Damon biting Caroline, being trifling af again.
1x02 is very suspenseful in the sense that you have Vicki freaking out because Damon fucked her up, Matt following Stefan through the hospital, a lot of false scares, lots of shadows, the narrative is still a little weak though, it’s why when I did used to watch TVD again, I would start from when Elena knows Stefan is a vampire because that’s when he show really picks up. On to 1x03.

SSD vs. Hard Drives | Dedicated Server Storage
Rotējošais disks izmantos 5-10 vatus no jaudas.
