Genuinely curious question: why do you draw the trolls' horns going from a gradient of their blood colour to yellow/solid blood color/multi-coloured for the (assumedly) mutants?
The different horn colors I do are tied to troll headcanons I have, and whether they're solid stripes or a plain gradient, heavily depends on my mood for the day, but solid colors aren't exclusive to mutants!
In reality, all trolls have yellow/orange horns since hatching, their blood color starts to "creep up" as they age, creating a gradient look. This leaves a problem for mutants, as you can see how vibrant their horns start to look, which makes them much more visible.
So my solution was to have some mutants paint their own horns for survival. (You can see early signs of this headcanon with looking up an old fantroll, Ichigo Kasfes. He was essentially Troll!Itchy depicted as a lime blood posing as olive.) Karkat does this, and since he's super antsy about others picking him out, he goes the extra mile to COVER his horns with a casual hat.
Ultimately, in a vacuum, this action would technically leave them open for targeting, as now ppl can simply point out the painted horned mutant. But this also means OTHER trolls catch on and also paint their horns, whether out of solidarity, rebellion, or just plain simple fun.
#troll headcanons#homestuck#hs#omniithe-deer#ask#i have very elavorate headcanons just to make an excuse to have fun with my art#karkat vantas#gamzee makara#vriska serket#terezi pyrope#kanaya maryam#nepeta leijon#sollux captor

this might be a strange ask but what are your least favorite species of your top 5 paintbrush colors?
Chocolate:
Korbat: It's kind of amazing how little effort was put into this colour. At one point I was thinking that it was the first chocolate pet released and that's why it's so plain, but it's actually the fourth, with all three pets (Chia, Ruki, and Skeith) before it having substantially more interesting designs. It should have, like, wafer wings/ears and a licorice tail or something.
Halloween:
Peophin: All of the incredible horse-based monsters out out there and we get... a blue Peophin in a tiny cap and witch hat. Like, even ignoring the boring design, couldn't it have just been like black with a red mane or something instead of the incredibly clashy default blue design? At least it got a pet style recently, though that doesn't count for too much given that the proportions are a bit weird (too thin and the head's too small) and the shading's kind of wonky if you look at it for too long.
Mutant:
Vandagyre: The mutant Vandagyre suffers from a lack of concept, as I can't tell what it's going for or what the theme's supposed to be between the braids, bare skin, and out-of-place tentacle tails. More importantly, though, it's just poorly drawn, with weird, stiff anatomy, unnecessary tentacle gradients, and very poor shading. At least with most mutant pets I can objectively say the art is excellent even if I don't like the design—that's not the case here.
Oil Paint:
Cybunny: Oil Paint is generally a really good colour all around, so there really aren't any truly "bad" options, just "okay" ones. That said, I'm going to go Cybunny here just because while I love the Starry Night concept, I don't think the execution's that great. The way they did the brush strokes leads to some weird shapes (like the muzzle looking like it's sticking out too far), and having all the yellow on the face off-balances the colors; it would've been nice if the body also had some yellow spots, which would've been more accurate to the original painting anyway. The barely-noticeable red lines on the paws are also odd, as is the out-of-place red nose.
Faerie:
Usul: Faerie pets were mostly just pretty normal-looking Neopets with unique poses at the beginning, so a lot of early faerie pets suck (other contenders here include the Aisha and Uni). However, I have to give it to the Usul because the color palette is incredibly jarring—pink on tan with blue eyes and neon green wings. Nothing about the design is interesting, and nothing about the colors work together. Also, while it has old art, it's not really that good—I like the pose, but the anatomy, shading, etc. isn't very well done.

Marvel Team-Up Annual 6 (October 1983)
Bill Mantlo/Ron Frenz & Kevin Dzuban
The introduction and integration of the New Mutants into the Marvel setting continues in this annual where they get to team up with the biggest star of all, Spider-Man: although, hilariously, this is also a team-up with additional guest-stars, so really it's three-in-one.
I really like this annual: I've always liked Cloak & Dagger, minor heroes who I think never quite got off the ground but were trying to get established at this point, much as the New Mutants were. Their "don't do drugs, kids" (or, rather, "cease your illegal activities!") schtick is a bit lame, but their general vibe is enjoyable. I've never been totally sure on whether they're a couple or not? I guess they ideally should have a Mulder/Scully thing going on.
Anyway, yeah, the New Mutants are in this too, and they're having a good time. They're in New York to see - what else - Cats. Rahne is struggling to process it, let alone the experience of hanging out in Times Square when it was still all grungy.
This is all sort of incidental but also great, and I really, really love this panel here. The clever angle, from inside the window, the incorporation of the team logo that is also a sex-shop logo, the hilarious expression on Rahne's face: this is so good! The artist here is Ron Frenz, who did a lot of Spider-Man stuff but to my knowledge never did another X-Men-related title.
Anyway, this is an annual, so as you can imagine it's got a one-and-done plot that's not especially interesting, involving the drug dealers who inadvertently gave Cloak & Dagger their powers. It's whatever, but the heroes have a lot of fun fighting it. Most importantly, they don't fight each other in the process! Spidey explicitly gets them to skip over the whole "heroes misunderstand each other and throw down" bit! God bless him. (This is another great panel, look at the gradients in the shading.)
Afterwards it's all just good clean fun with the mad scientist drug dealers, in extremely entertaining gothic set-ups like this one.
At the end Cloak & Dagger turn down an offer to become New Mutants, which, of course they do, but it's a fun counter-factual to entertain.
This was great!

Had sort of a revelation, even though it's one that I'm pretty sure I already understood on some level and probably even talked about before, but I got what feels like a reshaped and more comprehensive way of thinking about it.
I think there's two different factors to the "feeling like nothing" concept, each of which has its own explanation (encapsulated by differentiating "feeling like nothing" from "feeling like Nothing") and I'm going to have to do some thinking about how the two interact, how much of an overlap there is, and determining whether or not there's a way I can identify which is happening at a given time. But I think that'll actually be easier than I think. I hope so, anyways.
I am myself. I can confidently say this. There have been enough times where I settle into BEING MYSELF. And I remember everything.
So, I'm just gonna swallow all of my hesitation here about "oh fuck, I'm talking about controversial and discourse-y subjects that I know relatively little about, I might be wrong and others might accuse me of being irredeemable piece of shit for being wrong" and speak plainly here - I'd been wondering if I've got some plural shit going on for a while now, that wondering has turned into "yeah I think that's what's happening" and attempting to find definitions and potential explanations for things. I've thought that I wasn't the original inhabitant of this body for a long time. I just thought that didn't count since I thought I was the only one in here. I'm pretty sure I was mistaken.
Can a memory holder get frontstuck and everything else fucks off for decades lol - seriously the "I remember everything" is so fucking extreme
And I mean - "I'm not the original mind but I'm the only one here now"* is kind of an abnormal situation in itself, isn't it? Anyways long story short the point I'm at with that is, at the moment: "Original mind died at approximately 2 years old, which lines up both with when some traumatic shit likely happened (mom got divorced because she said my dad was (definitely physically maybe sexually) abusive, however mom was actually neglectful the whole time woo! Who knows if she was telling the truth! My dad died so I'll never know!) AND with my actual earliest vivid memory, which was - doing my self-gaslighting double-bookkeeping here lol - a completely innocent and innocuous event that my delusions latched onto as an explanation for why I'm a mutant centipede monster puppeting around a humanoid corpse.
So all of that shit, among other things, seems to be an explanation for feeling like Nothing. When it comes to terminology "median system" seems like it fits. What's weird is it is both a mutually exclusive dichotomy (when I'm here, Nothing isn't, when Nothing is here, I'm not) and a... gradient? Oh shit here's an analogy - it's like how noise canceling headphones detect the incoming frequencies and cancel them out by emitting the inverse of those frequencies, right? It is its own thing that both cancels me out and sometimes that's happening subtly but other times it's complete and I, as in myself, am fully not there.
So that complicated things. Because there's also the fact that sometimes, I also feel a different flavor of "not being there", and it's one that actually feels far more external than internal. The distinction is - it's like I feel like myself, I am aware that I am myself, I just...
Hmmm. How to explain.
I'm constantly adjacent to events. People don't remember me. People sometimes don't seem to perceive me. Or when they do, they can tell there's something off. I don't just mean in a "that guy's crazy" way, and I actually don't even necessarily mean in an "I'm dead and a centipede and The Thing" way. They say things that make it obvious that they're perceiving one thing when it isn't the case. Now that I think about it it's less that they're perceiving something off, and more like I can tell their perception is off. Man, there's a couple really good examples of this that I could describe but they're all long-ass personal stories that require a lot of context and this post is too long already so maybe I'll write about those later. Fuckin' made the intro longer than the post will probably be lol
It's made me feel a lot of things, notably a paranoia that my SELF is being contained or suppressed or somehow disallowed from directly interacting with existence, by some external forces for some reason, although that might be one of those persecutory delusion things. But it's also made me feel like a hologram being projected on existence, and like... Yeah, no shit, of course that's basically what is happening, why didn't I realize all of this a long time ago lol
It threw me off because I'm not literally intangible, the way a mundane hologram is. A hologram is a 3-dimensional object captured in a 2-dimensional image. I'm a 4-dimensional organism captured in a 3-dimensional existence. And that image is being interfered with. What exactly is causing the interference, I don't know. Whether being a 4D organism is rare or universal or even unique to me I have no idea. But at least I feel like I've gotten that basic foundation concept figured out and I can expand from there.
*I'm not the only one here now I'm pretty sure actually. Katja's a whole other story. I just thought I was for a very long time.
Thanks if anyone reads all these fuckin' words, and I would genuinely be appreciative if anyone hypothetically lets me know if any of this makes sense or if I'm a full of shit dumbass hah

LEAK FOR NON-TRAUMA MINT'S OUTFITS!!! maybe I'll make more sometime (idk) but here's some facts about her:
→ This version of Mintee would've been a LOT more cheerful & she would've been working to become a pop star instead..
→ Without her mutation, she would've been a teensy bit weaker but her practice in taking martial arts classes (or just ask the turtles or Leo for some help, I guess they would be dating anyway if she wasn't a mutant LOL) would make up for her lack of defence & strength.
→ Her father wouldn't have died & got some actual help for his minor drinking addiction due to her mom being away a lot.. he would be taking care of her instead & working as a politician.
→ Got her hair dyed when she was 14 instead & quickly fell in love with her new hairstyle (the gradient is so damn pretty I LOVE IT-).
→ The reason why Mint doesn't go to school is due to the fact she graduated early & topped most of her classes when she was 16.. she still doesn't know whether or not to get a job (but she still has a ton of money that her mom gave her anyway).
→ Dating Leo would still be the same way anyway. :p
that's all I have to say. one more fit & then I'll be deleting (except for the DTIYS) all the sneak peeks I've made for the encyclopedia!! plz be aware of that (>_>)

like 99% sure mutant baxter from the 2012 show is based SPECIFICALLY on a female fly . what do i do with this information. well i ramble about it on tumblr in an educational way thats what
more under cut i need to put this down somewhere
many fly species [unless they have eyes set on eyestalks] show sex dimorphism with different eye sizes and placement . for both horse flies and blow flies female eyes are 1. bigger 2. placed further apart from each other . male eyes are very close together. furthermore female horse flies usually have "stripes" on their eyes that males lack OR have more of them.
when it comes to specifics i am not sure what species exactly is baxter. in concept art he most likely was a mexican horse fly? but then was changed [the only real change being the eyes. they lack the stripes fully indicating that hes not a horse fly in the final design]. i understand the change since horse flies feed on blood and that wouldnt have been very family friendly. but ONCE AGAIN only female horse flies drink blood males eat nectar. so not sure here . most likely was a change so the model is simpler to make
my best guess is that he is a blow fly ? but with mutated eyes that are yellow/green/blue gradient instead of red. there is a real mutation that causes blow fly eyes to be yellow so maybe ? ok enough fly lore point of the post is baxter trans everyone go home now

Guidance: How the Species Work
Omni Mutants
• Omni Mutants are a unique, immortal species that resemble humans but possess gem-like stone patterns embedded in their chests, symbolizing their essence and powers.
• Their abilities are diverse and extraordinary, ranging from shapeshifting to elemental control. They do not age or die of natural causes and cannot be destroyed by conventional means.
• Omni Mutants are born as they are, not created or transformed from other beings.
Costume Species
• Costume Species are a separate group of powerful, immortal superhumans created by magically transforming ordinary humans. Each type is defined by a specific costume theme.
• The main types of Costume Species include:
• Clown Species (kind, peaceful, and silly)
• Punk Species
• Kabuki and Geisha Species
• Joker Species
• Half-Clown and Goth Species
• Corpse Paint Species
• Mime Species
• Jester Species
Permanent Transformation & Disguise
• The magical transformation is permanent, forever altering the human’s appearance. Costume Species can only maintain a human disguise for up to 5 hours at a time; after that, their true form is revealed until they can recharge this ability.
Magical Outfits
• Costume Species summon their magical outfits through concentration. These outfits are made of cosmic energy material, making them completely indestructible and immune to all forms of damage.
Makeup & Hair Features by Type
• Punk Species: Rockstar-inspired makeup with bold, angular lines and cool, edgy hairstyles.
• Clown Species: Colorful and expressive makeup, ranging from happy to sad or pastel themes, often paired with funny, exaggerated hair.
• Joker Species: Neon, colorful, and edgy makeup with a lazy or angry expression. Their glowing, fire-like hair stands out in any crowd.
• Mime Species: Dark purple lipstick, purple and white patterned markings, and gradient hair that shifts in color.
• Goth Species: Edgy, dramatic makeup with spiky or wavy, anime-inspired hair.
• Corpse Paint Species: Scary, edgy makeup with fire-like or ocean-like spiky hair and distinctive pattern markings.
• Geisha and Kabuki Species: Traditional Japanese hairstyles adorned with pattern markings of flowers, butterflies, or wind motifs.
• Jester Species: Intricate patterns and markings, shiny hair, and ponytails decorated with bells.
Additional Details
• For all Costume Species, makeup is a natural part of their bodies and cannot be removed. For Clown Species, their noses are real and not artificial.
• Costume Species are not born; they are made through an irreversible magical transformation process.
Cyberhumans
• Cyberhumans are cyborgs who do not age but can die from system damage, mileage, or depleted power sources.
• They mostly appear human but possess features such as metal horns, glowing eyes, metallic lower jaws, jet thrusters, wheels, rockets, and gun-mounted shoulders.
Beasts
• Beasts are half-human, half-animal mortals. They have animal instincts, pointy ears, and tails, but otherwise resemble humans. Beasts are not immortal.
Spiritwalkers
• Spiritwalkers are beings revived after death, existing as half-zombie and half-ghost. They are immortal but lack human emotions and empathy.
• They possess immense strength (comparable to a car) and speed (like a train), and can fly by channeling their spiritual aura.
Guidance: How the Species Work
Part 2: Powers and Abilities
Costume Species
Each Costume Species has powers that reflect their specific type. They can shift between their themed form and their “real” magical form, but cannot revert to a human appearance except for the limited 5-hour disguise window.

Species TypePowers & AbilitiesClownElasticity, slapstick resilience, emotional aura manipulation, comedic illusions, healing laughter.PunkSonic blasts, sound manipulation, rebellious energy projection, enhanced agility, shockwaves.Kabuki/GeishaIllusion casting, beauty-based hypnosis, pattern-based elemental control (wind, flowers, butterflies), graceful movement.JokerChaos magic, neon energy projection, fire-like hair manipulation, emotional confusion, light-based attacks.GothShadow manipulation, edgy illusions, emotional dampening, spiky or wavy hair weaponization, dramatic dark aura, enhanced stealth.Half-Clown & GothA blend of clown and goth powers: shadowy slapstick, dramatic emotional manipulation, edgy comedic illusions.Corpse PaintFear aura, darkness manipulation, fire or water elemental attacks, pattern-based camouflage, intimidation.MimeInvisible barrier creation, silent movement, telekinetic mimicry, gesture-based control, silence fields.JesterAgility, pattern illusions, confusion magic, luck manipulation, bell-based sound attacks, shiny hair manipulation.
Shared Abilities:
• Cosmic Outfits: All Costume Species can summon indestructible, cosmic energy outfits through concentration. These outfits enhance their powers and cannot be damaged.
• Permanent Transformation: Their magical transformation is permanent, with only a 5-hour human disguise limit.
• Makeup & Hair: Each species has unique makeup and hair features that reflect their powers and theme.
• Form Shifting: They can shift between their themed form and their “real” magical form, but not fully back to human except for the limited disguise window.
Cyberhumans
• Weapon & Technology Physiology: Cyberhumans are equipped with built-in weapons (e.g., arm cannons, jet thrusters, gun shoulders) and advanced technological systems. They can interface with machines, upgrade themselves, and use energy-based attacks.
• Durability: While they do not age, they can be damaged or shut down if their systems fail or batteries deplete.
Beasts
• Animal Instincts: Beasts possess heightened senses (smell, hearing, sight), agility, and reflexes based on their animal heritage.
• Physical Traits: Features such as claws, tails, or enhanced strength reflect their animal side.
• Survival Skills: Natural hunters or trackers, they excel in wilderness or combat situations.
Omni Mutants
• Demonic & Angelic Powers: Omni Mutants can have abilities inspired by both demons and angels, such as flight, elemental control, or supernatural strength.
• Aura & Energy Manipulation: They can sense, channel, and manipulate auras and various forms of energy for offense, defense, or healing.
• Innate Immortality: Their powers are tied to their gem-like chest markings and cannot be separated from their being.
Spiritwalkers
• Regeneration: Spiritwalkers can rapidly heal from injuries, making them nearly impossible to destroy.
• Intangibility & Flight: They can phase through objects and fly using their spiritual aura.
• Supernatural Strength & Speed: Comparable to the force of a car and the speed of a train.
• Lack of Humanity: While powerful, they lack human emotions and empathy, operating on instinct and spiritual drive.

## Species Guide – Part 4: New Species & Hybrid Mixes
---
### Mask Species
- **Description:** Similar to Costume Species, but their magic transforms humans into beings that resemble living masks. The entire body becomes a manifestation of the mask’s design.
- **Composition:** Made of rubber, hardlight, and cosmic material.
- **Abilities:** The mask can fully transform a human into a magical, mask-themed entity with unique powers and appearances.
---
### Gundam-like Robot Species
- **Description:** Towering, sentient robots inspired by mecha designs. They possess advanced weaponry, flight systems, and can merge with technology or vehicles.
- **Traits:** Metallic bodies, modular parts, and pilot or AI cores.
---
### Shy Guy-like Species
- **Description:** Mysterious, masked beings who rarely speak and prefer to hide their identities. Their faces are never seen, and their voices are soft or muffled.
- **Traits:** Always wear masks or hoods, move quietly, and often possess stealth or illusion abilities.
---
### Bandage Species
- **Description:** Entities wrapped in magical or living bandages. The bandages can move, heal, or reshape themselves, and sometimes hide the true form within.
- **Traits:** Regenerative abilities, can unravel or re-form, often associated with mummies or healers.
---

- **Traits:** Object-heads function as sensory organs, communication devices, or even weapons.
---
### Fusion Species
- **Description:** Entities formed by fusing with objects, animals, or other beings. The fusion creates unique combinations of abilities and appearances.
- **Traits:** Hybrid powers, unpredictable forms, and often greater strength or versatility.
---
## Hybrid Mixes & Unique Fusions
- **Clown Species Hybrids:**
- **Vampire Clowns:** Prefer sweet candy over blood, combining clown magic with vampiric traits.
- **Spiritwalker Clowns:** Immortal, intangible, and able to perform ghostly circus acts.
- **Mask Clowns, Omni Mutant Clowns, Cyber Clowns, Animal Beast Clowns:** Each hybrid inherits traits from both lineages, resulting in unique powers and appearances.
- **Other Costume Species:** All can have hybrid fusions, mixing their core traits with other species for endless variety.
---
## Psycho Implant (Robotic Parasite)
- **Description:** A robotic parasite that attaches to the back of the neck, forcibly connecting to the host’s nervous system. The implantation process is extremely painful.
- **Effect:** Grants the host enhanced abilities, aggression, and resilience, but can corrupt the mind with negative emotions and past trauma.
- **Removal:**
- Must be removed by the host’s own will, a stronger force, supernatural intervention, or by healing mental pain and resolving past mistakes.
Species Guide – Part 5: The Mask Species & Limitless Fusions
Mask Species
How They Work
• Transformation: When a human puts on a magical mask, they are transformed into a Mask Species entity based on that mask’s design. This transformation can be permanent and is deeply tied to the mask’s genre, aesthetic, or theme.
• Entity Form: After transformation, the being cannot return to a human form, but can shift between different entity forms inspired by various genres or aesthetics (e.g., horror, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, etc.).
• Cosmic Powers: Mask Species can wield cosmic powers, including the ability to summon anything out of existence, manipulate their surroundings, and perform reality-bending feats.
• Material Composition: Their bodies are made of rubber, cosmic material, and hardlight, giving them a flexible, otherworldly appearance and resilience.
What They Have
• A mask and suit that define their appearance and powers
• Entity forms based on different genres, aesthetics, or themes
• The ability to summon objects, creatures, or effects from nothing
• Cosmic-level abilities and magical versatility
• No need for sleep, food, or aging
What They Don’t Have
• The mask and suit are not part of a human body and are not made from human material
• They cannot look like a human or return to human form
• They do not age, hunger, or sleep
Appearance Variations
• Entity Forms: Mask Species can appear as anything from elegant masquerade figures, eerie horror icons, whimsical festival masks, to futuristic or elemental beings—limited only by the mask’s design and the user’s imagination.
• Genre/Aesthetic Influence: Their form, powers, and even personality can shift depending on the genre or aesthetic their mask embodies.
Hybrid Fusions
Mask Species and Costume Species can fuse with:
• Cyberhumans: Creating tech-masked entities with advanced abilities and digital powers.
• Beasts: Resulting in animalistic mask entities with primal and cosmic traits.
• Omni Mutants: Producing reality-warping, hardlight-based mask forms.

TMNT 2012 x DS fic snippet
She hated stupid Mutants. They were worse than the smart ones. That was the thought going through her head as her and her new… Friend? Was he a friend? Her new tutee. Casey Jones sped through the road. Casey pedaling as fast as humanly possible as the giant, mutagen, organ jar, man thing followed close behind. She wasn’t even talking to the turtles anymore! The Kraang had failed! How was this still happening to her!
She ducked as a huge acid hand made to grab at her. She waved her tessan at the glass jar, it doubled as the thing’s torso and face. Considering the eyes were there it caused it to flinch back, buying her and Casey some precious seconds.
“April! Friend!” the creature called
Both april and Casey cringed
“You… you know this thing, Red?” Casey questioned “I mean, I’m not judging or anything but…”
“Hell no!” April scoffed, seemingly to the thing’s dismay. “I know a lot of weird people! But not thing!”
“April!” the thing called out again. Why was it so set on her? Who was this again? Pulveriser? Timothy? She never really paid attention to the weird thing in Donnie’s lab before and now it was coming back to melt her… Or crush her… whatever happened first really.
“Hey! Do you know what a restraining order is?” A voice echoed from the rooftops. It was a girl's voice. It was soft and soothing but there was an underlying aggression hidden just under it. Which was weird… In this situation she was expecting the turtles. Or if she got really unlucky then maybe Karai. Yet that girl wasn’t Karai, the pitch was a tad too high. “You both on the bike… I’d suggest you slow down. I wouldn’t want you to crash.”
“Are you crazy! If we slow down, that thing will get us!” Casey argued, for the first time sounding incredulous
“Can’t say I didn’t try,” the girl said with a shrug
There was a flash of light from a building in front of them. The light grew into the shape of a giant, glowing, iridescent purple butterfly. It fluttered towards the both of them like a fighter jet. Both April and Casey understandably yelped and whipped out trying to turn only for the bug to fly right over them. The image disappears to reveal a girl who stomps into the mutagen man. The force of her kick was enough to send the thing flying back, the shockwave creating a flurry of purple butterflies as she flipped gracefully onto her feet with a confident smile.
She was small, smaller than April. Her skin was pale, almost unhealthily so. Her hair was a raven colour that was tipped with purple but April couldn’t tell how long it was due to the bun it was styled in. The bun was held in place by a butterfly hair clip. She was wearing what appeared to be purple tinted black combat gear, with a white… Coat? That was decorated with patterns and colours that made it look akin to butterfly wings.
Her eyes were large, coloured with a deep purple gradient but they also seemed… Empty. She lacked pupils… It really fell into her bug theme.
“Weird girl! Hurt me! Take April away!” The Mutagen guy screamed
“Actually my name, until proven otherwise, Is Kocho Shinobu and before we start” The girl replied calmly before turning to April “I assume you’re the “April O’neil” this man has been screaming about. Do you consider this… creature your friend?”
“No!” April yelled “That thing is at best an acquaintance! I want him to leave me alone!”
“An Acquaintance?” Casey questioned
“Well sir. I believe you have got your response. She wants you to leave her alone.” Shinobu continued, turning back to face the monster and ignoring Casey entirely “For your own sake I suggest you comply. To follow a teenage girl when she’s expressly told you to leave her alone is not a very good look”
“Stupid bug lady! Keep April away!? No! April my friend” The mutagen man growled in response and readied himself to charge at her “I destroy bug lady!”
“Of course, you mutants are all the same. beasts” Shinobu just sighed before crouching down close to the ground in her own battle stance. She pulled out a pair of butterfly knives, the blades were purple and between the two handles seemed to lay a tiny tube, though it was empty at the moment “I’d rather fight a creature with a blood stream so I can poison it. But the potential to understand the chemical that creates your kind was too interesting for me to miss.” She grinned with a hint of excitement creeping into a calm tone “You can understand that, can’t you?”
“RAAAAHHHH!” The mutagen man roared as it rushed at the Shinobu
“Right you’re a brainless, “brain in a jar” esque creature” Shinobu scoffed, diving into a roll away from the giant acid fist flying towards her “Intelligent understanding was too much to hope for”
April and Casey watched slack-jawed as this tiny girl took on the giant mutagen man… And was winning.
#TMNT 2012!#Demon slayer#crossover#alternate universe? I guess#I gave Shinobu a butterfly knife since it was funny. Also like her. They're cool.#Poor Timothy is getting cooked#Shinobu thinks Timothy is drake and Giyuu’s called him ugly three separate times#In terms of the timeline the episode this starts at is “Mutagen man unleashed (season 2 ep 4)”#please comment I'm fiending for a chance to talk about this

Nightmare Incarnate

Today I made a horse-like creature and this may be the incarnation of a nightmare. Not just a bad dream but also a demonic horse-like creature like this one. I used both mostly oil pastels and some black soft pastels for gradients.
The looks have small terrifying hints of the Mutant Bear from Annihilation, that's why the muzzle was exposed.
