I just realised something… how I got back into TMA earlier this year is kinda mirrored by how I got back into K project
Earlier this year: I watch horror YTers, I saw a play though of Slay the Princess, I recognised the narrator’s VA, I was pretty sure it was someone from the RQ ensemble, I facepalmed hard because I hadn’t expected who it was, then I started listening to TMA again and I actually dragged a friend into it but he always fell asleep during episode 1 so I stopped around episode 95 and wanted to wait for him to catch up but then we both got distracted by other fandoms
I was then hyperfixating on DCMK for the first time in 2 years and needed to catch up
I then randomly saw a trailer for the German dub of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi which happened to have the same German dubbing VA for Onodera Ritsu as the German dubbing VA for Furuya Rei/ Bourbon/ Zero from DCMK
I THEN picked Junjou Romantika back up since that has its first season completely dubbed in German
From there, I felt I recognised the dubbing voice of Usagi-san
Turns out Usagi-san has the same German dubbing actor as Suoh Mikoto from K project
I then asked my friend (same guy as with TMA) whether he’d watch K project (rewatch for me)
I got really invested and started some WiPs and even hand-embroidered the HOMRA emblem onto a red kerchief
He didn’t have time to come over, so we never got to watching K project
I instead started watching The Untamed (and bought the English light novels)
By now the semester has begun again and also I got invested in cubing as a hobby
And that’s why I abandoned my TMA fanfic from the beginning of the year AND abandoned my DCMK fanfics (although I do have the resolution that I WILL continue and finish my WiPs around Double Whisky and I also want to continue/ finish my recently re-titled canon divergence around TMA)

New rule for TV shows:
Every show has to have one episode (at least) where one member of a duo/team is injected with a poison which will kill them in 24 hours. Cue worry in the partner or rest of the team and desperation as the time runs out.
The poisoned person has to collapse multiple times and be tenderly held up by their friends.
It's all ok in the end but the whump, angst and hurt/comfort will be 👌
Sound impossible???? Too good to be true? Like something out of fanfic? Think again. Starsky and Hutch did it so what's holding back everyone else?
Go ahead. We're waiting.

Favorite color: pink
Last song: Bad Moon Rising by CCR this song has been my mood all this year...I mean last year
Last movie: Nighthunter I watched it with my roommate who just finished a Henry Cavill hyperfixation. I think it’s a great movie, but look it up beforehand because there are a lot of potential triggers.
Reading: Nothing atm. I haven’t been able to focus well lately so I’ve been sticking to short fanfics
Currently watching a lot of things. The Night Shift, Star Trek Voyager, The Big Bang Theory, It’s Always Sunny...and Grimm! I highly recommend this show. You can find it on Amazon Prime and it is amazing!!! I’ve already seen a few seasons but I’m re-watching it with my roommate. I could go on all day but I shouldn’t so go check it out. You won’t regret it!
Sweet, Spicy or Savory: I don’t do spicy but I have a massive sweet tooth.
Craving: A banana flavored popsicle. It’s random I know
Tea or Coffee: At one point in my life I would have said tea, but I’ve been liking coffee more and more so I’m going to go with both.
This was fun, thank you!

MY TIME HAS COME
I’m sure you can tell, TMA has been a hyperfixation for me for two years now lol. That being said, I tend to post/share lots of fluffy stuff from the podcast, but it is a horror-tragedy audio drama—I always feel bad if I don’t warn for that
It is compelling, interesting, well-done, and complete, with all 200 episodes available, and the stories it tells are really impactful and engaging. It starts off as monster-of-the-week and builds into a larger plot throughout the first season, but even through the remaining seasons, there’s still monster-of-the-week and lots of tidbits to serve as breaks from the huge plot
I also do love Night Vale, which is wacky and full of unreality and casual horror amidst a sort of scifi background
Basically all of the podcasts I listen to are horror audio dramas 😅 and my new job doesn’t have as much podcast time right now as I used to, so I’m waaay behind on a lot of the ones I’ve started, but I would also recommend
Hello from the Hallowoods (ongoing, about a future where the Earth has been devastated and humanity is surviving along with cosmic deities and other creatures, full of a lovable cast of characters and lots of interesting stories)
The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality (ongoing, season 5 recently ended, also starts off on story-of-the-week, about a museum with the most unusual collection, the workers at the museum, and the events that happen to them)
The Vesta Clinic (ongoing, season 1 recently ended, about a medical clinic on an asteroid in our solar system, in a future where we’ve made lots and lots of alien contacts) - created by a friend from a discord server! @vestaclinicpod
Tales from the Fringes of Reality (ongoing, s1 coming to an end soonish, told from the point of view of the Keeper, who helps put people back in their home realities) - created by the incredible and lovely @probsnothawkeye
Tell No Tales (ongoing, s1 recently ended, about a ghost removal company and one employee’s journey to build a device to communicate with ghosts) @tellnotalespod
Malevolent (ongoing, I’m still in s1 right now, but it’s really good and a lot of my friends enjoy it—a private investigator wakes up with a voice in his head and no eyesight, because the voice is now using his eyes. There’s a lot of dark, spooky things going on)
Black Box by the Haunt Collaboration! (Episode 1 just aired! It’s about the adventures of a spaceship that went missing, and I have friends who are VAs in it, and the first episode was INCREDIBLE) @blackboxpodcast
And here are some others that I’ve started but haven’t gotten very far into: The Night Post, Old Gods of Appalachia, Unwell, Midnight Burger, How It Ends, The White Vault, The Antique Shop, The Slit Verses, Murray Mysteries, and Jackie the Ripper
I have been running out of podcast episodes to listen to while at work. Since I started working at my current job, I caught up to My Favorite Murder after being a full year worth of episodes behind (both full length and mini episodes), caught up to Dear Hank and John after being three months behind, listened to two full seasons of Serial, listened to the episodes I was interested in from Morbid, and started Buried Bones when it first started and stayed caught up with it the whole time. I also listen to the Steve Dangle Podcast on YouTube which is three episodes between 1 to 2 hours per episode every week.
And I need suggestions I guess. I prefer true crime podcast, but obviously will listen to other things I might find interesting. I am currently considering The Magnus Archives. Mostly because I see @magnetarmadda‘s posts about it sometimes and I have yet to try fictional podcast. Also, maybe Nightvale? I’ve never listened to Welcome to Nightvale and they have a large backlist too.
