Was going through your blog and saw some anons hating on you for shipping what you ship. How do you not let the negativity get to you ? Cuz it's been a few months for me and I feel some joy has been sucked out of the media I enjoy solely because of the bullshit I end up reading about it.

i’m so sorry you’re dealing with hate wahh. but here is my surefire way that i never feel bad about it again.

whenever you get a message you have to imagine the anon writing it. and you have to imagine it step by step. you’ve gotta think of them sitting down in their room being like. eureka ☝️ i know what im going to do. i’m going to send this message. and they’re thinking this really smugly. then they slowly type with henpeck typing style w-w-w-.-t-u-m-b-l-r-.-c-o-m. and wait for the page to load. then searching your blog and opening the anon box. and now they’re really mulling over what they’re going to say. they think about it for a while. like they’re thinking soooooo hard they’re like it’s gotta be perfect. and they rub their temples and look out the window and wait for inspiration to strike. they might even scroll through your blog for ideas. then once again they slowly henpeck type their message and look at it and are like heh. this’ll really hurt them. i’m so good at this. then they dramatically hit the send button and lean back in their chair. then they refresh the page. you haven’t responded. they get up and stretch because wow that really took it out of them. another good day on the books. and then they just wait and wait for you to reply to the thing they spent so long crafting. they just keep refreshing that page for a response that’ll never come that drives them crazy. And so they sit and pine and wait for you. And continually check back to see if you said anything.

Truly it’s easy to just say “ignore the hate” and when you feel bad already it doesn’t help. breaking down what they’re doing into painstakingly small steps on the other hand really just highlights how pathetic what they’re doing is. Like awwwww you really tried your best to be mean and it took you so long. You even went back to look through the blog so you could be extra cutting? Like what they’re doing suddenly becomes infinitely more ridiculous than it ever was before and their smugness is cringe inducing

I started doing this after i saw a guy on twitter try to be really mean and dunk on this furry and made their fursona into a wojack, and it was really detailed and I started imagining him painstakingly referencing their fursona to draw the perfect piece of hate and lost it. They’re all waiting their time and it’s hilarious

Also idk if you knew this but you can block anons too!! Which is also great and hilarious.

And, rule of thumb: never respond to hate unless you can be funnier than it and dunk on them <33
