I don't post art on this account and haven't really thought to do so in years, no, but when I do it's because twitter has completely failed me for the last time and I am feeling some kind of way about a crusty little meowmeow from a 25 year old game. Don't even worry about a thing.
#twisted metal#I've just 'ad this Calypso and it is focking minging#also pretending this isn't my first TM post on this blog period when it has been my brain problem for years now

Fengqing x Epic the Musical
So here me out... we have Epic the Musical, you know. All the fun stuff that goes along with it such as the amazing characters... But what if it was TGCF characters instead with the main ship being Feng Xin and Mu Qing...?
Odysseus = Feng Xin
Penelope = Mu Qing
Telemachas = Fu Yao or Nan Yang
Polites = Ju Yang (In my defense I was running low on characters and making this joke just seemed so... right, you know?)
Eurylochus = Zhen Xuan
Polyphemus + Sheep = Kemo + Minor Banyue/Yong'an Soliders
Lotus Eaters = Banyue's Scorpian Snakes
Zeus = Jun Wu
Poseidon = Shi Wudu
Athena = Xie Lian
Apollo = Quan Yizhen
Hephastas = Lang Qianqiu
Aphrodite = Ban Yue
Aries = Pei Xui
Hera = Ling Wen
Hermes = Pei Ming
Aeolus = Shi Qingxuan
Circe = He Xuan
Calypso = Jian Lan
*All of these went off the Musical songs and are based off personal opinions and what I have heard from the songs. This is a constructive criticism thing, we listen and we judge only in our heads.*
#fengqing#epic the musical#feng xin#mu qing#odysseus#penelope#crossover#tgcf#heaven official's blessing#ideas#In my defense... I wrote this at like midnight running off of Hot Chocolate to survive#we listen and we judge

Calypso said it's almost time now I've got to hold them off, Cassie: what happened to my coven' really?. Calypso: Ashur happened baby'. Blake: what?. Calypso: when I went their on mission by Ashur I found your people they wouldn't devote their witches to Ashur and his war against the warlock's and dark witches of the dark Forest so I compelled them all and told them to play dead so they did Kellogg ming cast a spell on them all a coma and calypso came back and kidnapped them by sending them through a portal to the very island we are on, somewhere around here. Cassie was starting to become annoyed by Calypso. Blossom: so we now need to find them and set them free, wait where's Calypso?. So they searched the island when Blake found a cave which led to a city there on beds made with hay and stone her entire coven her family then a women and a man came out of the wooded area it was Cassie's mother Kellogg or as Cassie's father called her Kelly kelly ming and her dad Westley ming Cassie was happy to see her family all a side from her sister Cora and brother Eric whom went missing. Blake said that he knew how to undo the spell so he did and they awoke Zeador Melissa Maggie and Flynn. Kelly: she said if I did this she would find my daughter but I just said I didn't care about anything but serving her was that I want I would tell her. Blossom said look at this (a Journal of Calypso) it read about different places on the island but as they read on they began to find out secrets Calypso hid from them like Cassie having two older brothers about Eric's age with the same colored white hair and ice blue eye's named Victor and Virgil they took after their mother another impulsive friend of Calypso who compelled Cassie's father to sleep with her cause he killed her husband in war before he meet her mom but the woman grow ill and soon died so he was free of her spell later he found Cassie's mother and Melissa and Maggie the twins. Then cora and Flynn, and Cassie and Zeedor. It also told a tell of a vampire name Eric with a k, Eric ran away from the persecution of his family once a wizard came of age they were to help in the next war but he had other plans he would run away so he followed his sister into the forest one day in central city he found her surrounded by women they stabbed one another giving their power to her as a way of making her a huntress as they did with seven other girls in attendence he ran through the woods to hide frightened by who he saw as any man would he took Refuge behind a tree when was shot with an arrow already covered in blood the blood of the a vampire Vivian had killed while hunting so all except cora surrounded his now dead body so they pushed him down a hill and let him be and the rest was history. Blossom: so you're brother is a vampire according to this . Cassie: no! Not my brother vampires are. Blake: what cassie? . Cassie: a vampire!!. Blossom: I think I know where to find him. Blake: wait... You don't mean.... Ohhh not him he sucks. Cassie looks looks at her feet and cry. Berry try's to comfort her. Then Chris arrived at the palace where Hugh is and tells him about cassie Hugh picks up and leave whit Emily and Alyssa Chris Alyssa Emily and Hugh gets as close as they can but that's just the peer they look over wondering if their friend's are okay. Then Calypso appears and say he promised me power Hugh asked who she just replied Ashur and walked away when they looked for her they didn't see her. Hugh saw a boat at the docs it was Blake and the gang Hugh shock his hand and everyone heard lightning later that Monday cassie went to Cathryn's home to tell her everything and they snuck out to find Erik they found him but got caught just as the vampire was about to kill them Erik walked in and broke it up their were five vampires in accordance and Erik as well. She asked how did you end up like this he said well venom vampire venom. He took cassie and Cathryn and through them in a river, then they left town. Hugh found out he was ticked so he went to the vampire side of town and set it on fire.

Guest chapter 9 . 8h ago
I agree with the guest review below especially this part “Calista, er I mean Calissa.”
WTF were you and the other two writers thinking calling your character that?
Guest chapter 9 . 10h ago
Leia is coming off like an asshole in this by taking her sweet time. I don’t buy Han would be that diplomatic either as someone molested him. Didn’t like him drooling over Calista, er I mean Calissa.
Well… Perhaps these could have been phrased in a kinder tone.
Yeah…Definitely.
Ah…Well. I’m not going to go defensive…I’m going to answer the question of “WTF were we thinking?”
Bear with me here. This might be a long one.
Okay…So, as stated, in the A/N for the fic we were BSing about the kickass “Sand Snake” daughters for Han and Leia, rather than Kylo the Emo.
Okay… Then we needed an adventure for these kids to show their stuff. So, hey! let’s rescue Dad!
Someone suggested the Hapans as a potential villain and that descended into a group discussion on the some of the various old and new canon stuff we dislike. Including the whole whacky-man Wolverton’s “Courtship of Princess Leia.” With the two matriarchal worlds, men treated as objects and such. The gun of command, Han’s OOC kidnapping of Leia and many, MANY other grievous sins.
We discussed the real world history of marital kidnappings and ( I think I take the blame for the name here) I mentioned Homer’s “Odyssey” and how the nymph Calypso had detained Odysseus on her island for seven years; “he was compelled to remain there as Calypso’s lover, bored, homesick and trapped on her small island, until she was ordered by Zeus, via Hermes, to release Odysseus.”
This was an ancient tale that took a very real cultural practice at the time and turned it on its head, by having it happen to the male hero instead. There are a few other parallels too, though while Han is no Odysseus, and Leia no pining Penelope….. Calypso = Calissa (more or less).
Calypso was just a bit tooo obvious as a name. So someone suggested Calissa. It was close enough, sounded graceful and noble. And you know WHAT? Yes! Someone did mention that it was possible a reader might mix up Calissa with Callista. BUT! We determined (and trust) that a fandom reader would be smart enough to note the difference and carry on.
So apologies for those looking for Callista Ming. No confusion was intended.
(FYI, I actually didn’t mind Callista in the old universe. The concept of a dead Jedi haunting a mainframe computer was pretty cool in my mind. Children of the Jedi was one of my favorite old canon books (3rd fave?), as it has some of the hottest Han/Leia scenes in the old universe.)
But Ms. Ming and our queen only have the vague sound of their name in common. NOTHING else.
I hope that answers your question and addresses your concern.
Feel free to ask or rant or geek out at me via tumblr or messaging. I’ll take the heat for this one. Happily.

To the Guest reviewer who asked WTF we were thinking… Well, you know, we ( @jhgraham and @corellianangel and I) certainly weren’t thinking about an EU novel published c. 1995, that’s for sure. That was an oversight. Oops! You’re right, of course; ‘Calissa’ is of course too similar a name to a well-known character in the Legends ‘verse, but it simply never occurred to any of us that it would be a problem. I guess we were all too worried about other elements. Sorry if it has put you off reading the story, Guest reviewer. If we had it to do over again, I’m sure we’d choose more carefully. Thanks for reading.
To the other Guest reviewer… well, that’s very disappointing to hear, of course, but in our defense, we think Leia’s failure to rush straight to Han’s side stems from (a) her trust in Chewie’s judgement and his reassurance that Han is not in any real danger and (b) her confidence in Han’s ability to handle himself and any mildly tricky diplomatic situations he may find himself in. We have in mind that this story takes place c. 30ABY, when Han and Leia have been together as a couple for a good 25 years. They know one another very well and have complete trust in one another; also, people do tend to change a little over time (especially over a long span of time, in response to their experiences), so we don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that Han might have developed a wee bit more patience and forbearance with such things than he had in his 20s. He is acting as he does because Leia asked him to take care in the sector; he’s tolerating what he’s tolerating for her sake.
Finally, in our ‘verse Han doesn’t drool over anyone but Leia, ever. I think that’s abundantly clear.
#fanfiction#areto incident#SW Fanfic#hanxleia#to be blunt#this is the truth#sw#calypso#greek myths are an ancient inspiration#and thats not just punny#odyssey#homer#is my eternal muse#so romantic#even the Iliad is tragically romantic#they make me weep
