#my muse doesn't vibe

am i the odd one, or you guys?   cause a lot of times i see people apologizing for taking a while to reply to memes, and i’m always like ???    and maybe that’s cause i have a terrible short term memory, but i always forget whom i have sent memes to / when i did.

and i personally see the memes i received as...   suggestions and reply to them as i want / as i please, if i have ideas?    i delete them sometimes if i don’t see where to go with this / i don’t feel like writing what is there.

yes, memes have become a lot more important than starters in the past few years, there has been a shift in the way a lot of people write, i think.    but i still tend to value drafts / plotted starters more, and see memes as something...   almost personal sometimes.    cause i know a lot of people won’t continue the memes (and even if they do...    i don’t feel as obligated to reply to that as i do to a proper thread, as there was no binding contract saying this was a thread that was going to continue).    while i love people continuing memes, and i encourage them, like, in my mind, its not a proper real thing yet.

does this make sense???

a/n: hi lovelies!! here is a little preview of my upcoming lip series, bittersweet symphony. this takes place around season 8, with reader being an ex of lip's from college.

the streets of chicago looked a little extra happy today. maybe it was the sun showing face after days of rain, or the parks more full than usual with elementary schoolers out for the summer. or maybe it was just your own happiness giving you a new view of your city. regardless of the cause there was a new bounce in your step as you took the stairs down from the train. the time on your watch reads 12:47. just enough time to run down the street to your favorite childhood spot for a slice of pie to go. 

it’s a quick walk over to patsy’s, your feet stepping along to the music playing from your headphones. you aren’t paying attention when you step in the door and find yourself suddenly knocked on your ass. 

“watch where you’re fuckin’ going, jesus!” an agitated voice says above you. it happens so quick that you’re disoriented at first, looking around in dumb shock, not processing yet how you ended up on the ground in the first place. the voice continues on, less angry and more concerned this time, “y’alright? fell kinda hard there.”

you look up, first seeing the pale blue eyes the voice is attached to, then the curls, and- oh fuck. 

“lip?” there’s no way. there’s actually no shot in hell you just bumped into your college ex–quite literally, might you add–on a day like today. “lip gallagher,” you repeat in disbelief. 

“no fuckin’ way,” the boy mumbles, taking your hand and helping you up. he follows it with your name, and the familiarity in it nearly makes you shudder. he gestures to your professional attire, asking “the fuck are’ya doin’ here, huh?”

To follow up on the previous post mentioning that I knew I'd be meeting law soon in op and being excited because I'd know I'd like him. WELL. He's not the character I imprinted on. I mean let's be real I'll probably imprint on him aggressively when I learn more about him but u know who I DID IMPRINT ON? EUSTASS KID. THATS RIGHT. my gender envy snatched that boy so fast do u understand the envy of a person who as a kid was so desperately adhered to Toxic Masculinity and Always Wanted to Be Buff. Boy howdy did I mention I so badly wanted to be perceived as Male and that roughness expected of them. And Eustass Kid fulfills that roughly masculine stereotype to a tee EXCEPT not since he's also leaning into punk subculture and gender defying lipstick and it's not meant in an effeminant way but kinda a Don't Fuck With Me Way which his whole look screams and so suddenly that's TEN TIMES BETTER BECAUSE FUCK GENDER STEREOTYPES. and also did I mention he's clearly supposed to be Celtic/Scottish? and as a person whose also Scottish I'm like oh FUCK YES. And oh no that's EXACTLY the gender vibe I want. And then u don't know anything about him for the next age I guess since they all disappeared

just wanna make something very clear here and on percy's blog; i adore crossovers

and i don't just mean the "let me make an entire involved AU for this" crossovers; i also mean the 0 effort, "let's just throw our two muses together and merge their universes and see what happens" crossovers

like don't get me wrong—i love all my pjo mutuals and i also do enjoy the effort put into creating AUs but listen

you can't tell me it isn't fun to take two muses who exist in the "real" world who have dealt with their own weird bs and watch them compare notes on the weirdness okay? it's immaculate

so if you write a muse who isn't pjo or doesn't have a pjo verse, i guarantee we will make it work, frienderino u-u and i guarantee i'm stoked for it

one thing that's interesting in Darkside Chronicles' version of Steve's death is that he keeps his earring after changing back... ignoring the fact that the little ring withstood the whole mutation/fight, I'm surprised the piercing itself remained intact with all the t-Veronica growth going on.

aka headcanon that steve throws a fit the moment he realizes living as a b.o.w. with regeneration abilities means he can never get piercings nor tattoos ever again
