The "Untangled: Combing Through the Roots of Black Hair" exhibit presented by Johnny Wright at @BronnerBros, made possible by @myavanahaircare, was an extraordinary display of the profound significance of hair in Black culture. It beautifully illustrated that for Black people, hair is far more than a mere aspect of appearance—it's an essential part of our self-expression and identity. The exhibit delved into the rich history and the diverse textures that characterize Black hair, celebrating its uniqueness and the myriad of ways it can be styled and adorned. It was a powerful reminder of how hair intertwines with the threads of our personal and collective narratives. A heartfelt thank you to Myavana for making this insightful exhibit possible. Their dedication to understanding and caring for the complexity of Black hair is truly commendable. Myavana's innovative approach, combining science and technology to provide personalized hair care solutions, is a testament to their commitment to the community. Their hair strand analysis and tailored product recommendations are changing the game for individuals seeking to embrace and manage their natural hair with confidence. Thank you, Myavana, for your invaluable contribution to our understanding of Black hair and for supporting such a meaningful and enlightening art exhibit.

Hair Extensions Market Forecast Statistics, Trends, Segmentation Analysis and Forecast to 2027
Market Analysis
The large-scale prevalence of receding hairline and alopecia has boosted the demand for the global hair-extension market which is expected to grow at a moderate pace during the predicted years (2018-2023) Hair extension is a form of cosmetic product which alters the look of natural hair via making the same appear layered, thicker, longer or in a different style. Thanks to technological advancements due to which these days women no longer require to patiently wait for their hair to grow. The modern-day hair extensions are of superior quality and available in different lengths thereby helping women in adding instant length as per their need. Females with fine, thin hair are making the most of these hair extensions as it helps them add volume to their hair thereby making it appear thick right from the roots to the tips. In fact, from top knots to ponytails the possibilities in hair extensions are truly endless. It is also an ideal means of adding highlights or chemical-free color devoid of causing damage to the natural hair.

I just watched a video on Facebook about a place in Atlanta called Myavana (black owned) that basically works like AncestryDNA for hair.
They send you a kit in the mail to obtain a hair sample.
You do a questionnaire about your hair goals.
Then they test your hair in their lab and send you back a personalized hair care routine profile that tells you what products to use on your hair. All of it is $75. I am so going to do it before this year is over.

@incmagazine by Jewel Burks Solomon (left), Candace Mitchell, and Horace Williams are part of Atlanta’s thriving black entrepreneur scene, which is grappling with how to expand funding opportunities for founders of color. Of the $2 million Burks Solomon raised for her visual-recognition tech startup, Partpic, only $25,000 of it came from a local source. "Atlanta has a high population of black entrepreneurs. The investor landscape doesn't necessarily look the same," she says. Some of Atlanta's black founders believe they can change that equation by building or selling successful companies and then investing in other black founders. "We're trying to create this momentum where we can start having major exits or major growth in our businesses to really start shaping the ecosystem," says Mitchell, founder of digital hair-care startup Myavana.
