Meow would definitely dog-ear his books, in his eyes its the easiest way to keep track of where he is in the book instead of spending all that time to just find a bookmark! I could totally see Moren hating the fact Meow dog-ears his books or, more importantly, books he borrows from The Cabinet of Curiosity. Meow tries to unlearn it but old habits die hard so he gets a little scolding now and then for it.

Does your WoL think it is acceptable to fold a page in a book to use as a bookmark, or does such desecration of books horrify them?

Title: The Race of Life

In the frenetic race of life, there's no point in sprinting, but it's crucial to start on time. This is a lesson ingrained in us from the very beginning. Yet, each of us traverses this race with different starting points and destinations, taking unique paths at varying speeds. Therefore, working diligently and intelligently becomes imperative to shape the life we desire. However, it's equally important to acknowledge that, despite our efforts, some things elude us. Cultivating gratitude, avoiding envy towards others, and above all, persevering tirelessly, because effort always pays off in the end.

Adding my 2 cents, Endwalker and Lies of P spoilers below!

Honestly I liked Endwalker but I feel it kinda fumbled the story once you enter Ultima Thule. The whole cloud Thancred thing feels so weird but the way his "death" happens it left me like "oh so he is going to come back" so none of the deaths past that were real. Like "Oh if Thancreds death is like that, they will undo all the rest of the scion's deaths" which kills the mood. I couldn't feel sad for these deaths because they don't feel real and then were quickly undone anyway. I couldn't feel sad in moment for the Scions as I felt it was obvious it wasn't the finale for these characters the game tried to insist it was.

Lies of P, on the other hand, hit hard for me. It does such a great job the whole game reeling you into the situation and you feel sad for what's happening to these characters, even small characters like the man in love with the puppet. Lies of P did so well introducing the idea in the newspaper article and then meeting the man to find out the sad fate that befell his wife, to then when you think its all well over towards the endgame you can find out she really did leave a note saying she loved him. I felt so bad for them even though I only talked to the man twice and the puppet lady was already dead. Although specifically the "They Lived Happily Ever After Ending" got me the hardest. The ending cutscene it didn't fully skin in until I went back to the hotel as Carlo and saw everyone replaced with puppets because wow I got close to these characters and, even though their deaths are offscreen, its so final that those characters I spent the game with are gone and all because I fucked up a choice.

Also if you feel differently to me about Endwalker, that's completely fine! I know people who really enjoyed it and I don't want to shit on those feelings, Endwalker just wasn't it for me personally and I wish it was honestly. I love both of these games and I play FFXIV so much, I mean this is my specific FFXIV blog after all lmao. But Lies of P did so much better instilling sadness for its characters then Endwalker did. Shadowbringers on the other hand I feel did this really well and so did the continued Ancients storyline in Endwalker, its just the ending got fumbled with the Scions imo.

I think Lies of P is more depressing than Endwalker and that's impressive.

So! This expansion I was playing through with my friend and we stopped to make glams and take photos in the different sections! I also took some cute screenshots of some of the cutscene bits.

Getting off the boat and onto the first challenge!

New glam from Worqor Zormor dungeon! We only had to run it twice for us both to get the shirt to drop for our classes which was super lucky 🥳

War glam on the way to fight Zoraal Ja

I have a problem with getting too close to NPCs before starting a conversation and I just thought they looked so cute standing this close 💕

The Endless area is so pretty before you turn off the memory bank thingys ;w;

Hehehehehehe... I need to learn to not invade NPC's personal space when trying to pick up quests...

End fight was so techy that I put back on the Len Kagamine glam... and then was stuck it in for the ending cutscenes for the expansion 🤣 Its hard to take it seriously when Meow looks like that 😭

Right after finishing MSQ we went and climbed both jumping puzzles in Tuliyollal 💕

Final thoughts are just that I really enjoyed this expansion and going through it with my friend 🥳 Time zone differences made us go super slow through it when all the other expansions I have sprinted through in a few days to see everything but it was super nice to go through it and talk about the story as it happened! 💕 I loved the new introduced characters and enjoyed the story a lot!

Also never forgiving Square for introducing Otis and making me love him. Then he died in the same play session as meeting him for me and my friend. My little robot lover heart is crying 😭 Also Cahciua 😭
