You know what I can’t stop thinking about?

In his first solo Bedwars training video, Mythrodak catches himself doing a goofy British accent, apologizes, and says he “slips into it out of force of habit.” He does plenty of goofy voices, mainly the absurd transatlantic radio announcer one. But the only one he stops himself on is the British accent.

Why does he default to a British accent by habit? Where did he pick that up? I’ll bet it’s from Sven. They spent months together in the Pit. And they weren’t just allies of convenience. They were best friends. They did everything together. They sparred enough to know each other’s fighting styles so intimately they could fake a convincing battle that kept them both alive.

Imagine those training sessions. Them poking fun at each other. Mythro mocking Sven in a goofy British accent to throw him off, Sven cracking up so hard he almost drops his sword. Chase on the side lines with the biggest grin on his face, silent as always but laughing with them all the same. Mythro finally knocking Sven on the ground and teasing in a jaunty British accent “As always, it’s been a pleasure.”

Training Bedwars is mindless, repetitive, and full of idiots. But it can be a little fun. Sometimes there’s a worthy opponent. Sometimes it feels like old times. Sometimes it brings up old memories. Sometimes smiling at the good memories feels like the greatest betrayal of all.

Back on my Mythro hyperfixation

okay, so i went back and checked through the text (fixed up typos on a google doc while making footnotes about the original spellings, just in case it ever becomes relevant) and. there’s some weird stuff in this journal entry, y’all.

narrator says their attempted navigation of worlds worked “slightly.” really weird thing to specify

the tall figure under the lamppost is... we don’t have good info on him yet. i don’t think it’s plumpkin, if only because having a pumpkin for a face would kind of be a more obvious defining trait than just “tall.”

what does “this is more than i wanted to know” mean?

most importantly, though, this entire segment (typos corrected + emphasis mine): “and now i am in another world, i am trapped inside a body i don’t want. the only way to achieve my true body again is to survive until this world ends. what will happen if i speed it up a little bit? i was never an impatient girl but i hate this. i hate it here, and everyone will be fine again, they will all be wiped clean and start anew. but that’s not the right thing to do, so i suppose i shall endure another lifetime until i can finally breathe again. my memory is slipping again, but it’s stronger than before.”

take a good look at that emphasis. i don’t think that’s mythrodak. the first two parts could be referring to being stuck in the void instead of the real world, but... mythro seemed genuinely shocked to hear about the prophecy during the gaia’s vault ending, whereas whoever this speaker is... seems to know what will happen if the world ends with a good amount of certainty, and seems to believe they’ve had more than one lifetime.

basically there’s a non-zero chance mythro’s sharing his body with whatever is actually going to cause the end of the world. that, or he’s the “tall figure” -- as much as everyone in fandom agrees he’s short, we don’t have any canon confirmation on that one.
