Michigan snuck in some mid May snow last week 😳🥶 We use the Rixen heater on board which runs on diesel for our cabin heat and hot water. @mytourig sets this up with a winterize setting so that the tanks and pipes won’t freeze in the garage area. Our lithium battery’s are also kept at operating temperature by automatic heated blankets and we can monitor their temperature with an app on our phone. Being located in Colorado gives TouRig the perfect testing ground for their builds with temperature and altitude extremes. Giorno 4 #Parigi - pomeriggio

Il pomeriggio del 4° giorno è dedicato interamente al Museo del Louvre.

Tantissima gente anche all'entrata, ma avevamo acquistato i biglietti online e siamo riusciti a ridurre l'attesa.

Il museo è immenso e su tanti livelli. Avevamo pianificato di visitare la zona dei reperti egiziani e il 2° piano dedicato alla pittura fiamminga.

Dopo un po' di ricerche sulle mappe ci siamo avviati nell'area dedicata all'Egitto antico.

Abbiamo proseguito attraversando le sale dedicate all'arte greca verso quelle della pittura italiana, francese e finalmente della pittura tesdesca, olandese e fiamminga.

Immancabile la Vittoria Alata di Samotracia che separa le sale.

Finalmente siamo arrivati all'ala della pittura fiamminga dove abbiamo potuto ammirare il quadro di Vermeer 'la ricamatrice'. L'astronomo era in restauro. Splendidi quadri di Rembrandt, Cranach il vecchio, ecc.

Alla sera alla fermata metro Bastille abbiamo cenato da Lèon, catena specializzata in moule.

Per cena moule à la Lèon con crème frâiche, fish and chips e crème brûlée. Nello stesso identico locale eravamo stati quasi 20 anni fa.
