Oel ngati kameie to the Avatar fandom since my blog is slowly turning into an Avatar blog-

Did ya’ll know I’m not just an Avatar nerd but a Kiri cosplayer as well??? I make all of my cosplay pieces by hand (excluding the base of the suit).

I’ll hopefully be competing at Katsucon in February with a much more completed version of her 🩵

A work in progress! I’m making a bunch of necklaces based off all the different costumes in AWoW and this one is a rendition of Ronal’s tewng. (Pictured in the second photo and made for the movie by the wonderful, talented Deborah Lynn Scott and her team!)

I’m going to macrame or embroider shells separately and attach them when I’m finished, because I can’t find the exact kind of shells they used and it’s going to drive me batshit crazy if i look and it turns out they don’t exist because they were 3d printed or something.

Anyway, it’s avatar related, so it’s being shoved down your throats, gobble gobble, my friends✨

-The only photoshoot schedule I’ve found so far is a google doc that I’m not sure is official, but hey ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Imma try and make the Pokemon and Disney shoots

-I’m not cosplaying that exact Na’vi but I haaaave revamped my Na’vi cosplay and so have no pics of what it currently looks like 👀 consider this its debut

-I have no idea when I’ll be doing Willie but he will show up at some point! I’d love to say thursday but I usually don’t do anything besides get my badge on thursdays. Friday night is most likely but possibly Saturday afternoon if I get sick of my Na’vi cosplay (spoiler alert: I likely won’t lol)

Avatar Cosplay in the Bedroom

It’s hard to believe that the original Avatar released in 2009 is still the highest grossing film of all time, beating out Avengers: Endgame.  With the long-awaited Avatar 2 set to release at the end of 2022, thirteen years after the original, the blue alien Na’vi are poised to return as a top cosplay costume.

There are a few aspects of sexy Avatar cosplay that can intertwined into the bedroom. For one, the Na’vi have a strong relationship with the environment and a superior knowledge of the planet they live on. Though the humans see them as primitive, they are in fact more highly evolved with their understanding of nature and other animals living on the planet of Pandora. This can be used as part of your role-play with your partner in experiencing a more spiritual lovemaking session.

You can also set the tone of your bedroom to match that of the planet Pandora from the movie by purchasing a LED sky projector light that will radiate your entire room with the blue colors similar to the movie.  You and your partner will feel that you are actually Na’vi living out a scene directly from the movie.

Alternatively, to the spirituality of the movie, you and your partner might want to play off of the Neytiri and Jake Sully roles as fierce warriors. Perhaps you have just come back from battling the humans in order to protect the Tree of Souls, and you were victorious. Now, after a long and exhausting battle that has left the two of you bruised and bloody, you can celebrate by sharing each other’s bodies with one another.

If you are looking for a more exotic fantasy, one of you can role-play as a Na’vi while the other remains a human being for a cross species fantasy. The woman can play the part of Neytiri who was able to capture a human male during the battle. Now the man has woken up a prisoner of Neytiri, and she is in need of important information for the human’s next strike. She is willing to do anything necessary to get out that information in order to save the Tree of Souls, and as such is prepared to enact a ton of pain onto her victim.

Conversely, the man can play the role of a male Na’vi who has taken a female human hostage during the battle.  He is interested in exploring the female body in order to discover weaknesses in the human body structure.  In performing his experiments a wide array of pain and pleasure should be expected. This story line can be used for a couple wishing to experiment with a impact play fantasy.

No matter how you and your partner wish to role-play with your sexy Avatar cosplay you are destined to have a fun time.  Whether it is for Halloween or any other time of the year, Avatar cosplay will be on the rise with several sequels to the original movie set to be released, starting with Avatar: The Way of Water to be released on December 16, 2022.

Part 2 in my “makin avatar shit” series, this is Mark 1 of Neteyam’s choker. I’m not that far along but I’ve already learned some valuable lessons. I made…a LOT of mistakes, but that’s okay! Rome wasn’t built in a day! And I’m also not trying to get an exact copy, I don’t have the skill or the resources necessary to pull that off anyway🤣

Next round I’ll be using matte beads, and they’ll be cylinder, not round. I’ll also be swapping out the crystal fireline for black fireline. I made a good solid decision with the base though, it’s holding up nicely and it’ll pair super well with a leather backing.

(The beads look different colors than the actual piece because of the lighting but they’re pretty accurate in natural light)

In this video, (please watch it if you are a fan of costume design, crafting, LARPing, whatever! It’s so insightful and a big relief to hear that even professionals in the industry are constantly learning and growing!)

Deb Scott mentions the team had to make a normal version and a scaled up version, and now that it’s in my hands, counting the beads and measuring, the beads used in this photo were definitely for the na’vi scaled version because if I had kept the exact bead pattern shown, the top would’ve ended up like half the circumference of my neck.

If you’re looking to make this yourself, any beads smaller than a 6/0 look dumb and they don’t lay out correctly, don’t do it.

This one, even though I’ve altered the bead pattern, is going to end up as a decorative collar for my dog when I’m finished with the neck band(which I’ll also show when it’s finished) because I want the better version for myself because I’m extra like that.

A quick sketch of how my Na’vi-cosplay-colleague looked in that dream the night before last :)

Man, that drive tomorrow. The national park we’re visiting for vacation is roughly 400 miles away, and while that may be a flyspeck of a drive for you steeled guys, it’s pretty intimidating for us x) We’re borrowing my dad’s car because we don’t own one with all the public transport around us, but the park and our cabin are too remote to get there by train and/or bus. Germany itself is about 540 miles long, so it feels like an even bigger distance. Look how the little train-spoiled homeoffice squarebutts have to move a finger to get somewhere by themselves! XD
