idk how to explain to people that the emphasis on bright colors and flamboyancy and gender nonconformity at pride is not a personal attack on their personal tastes, nor is it "exclusionary"

visibly queer people celebrating their perceived strangenesses and protesting for their right to be alive is not a personal attack on you just because you don't like wearing rainbows or aren't personally gender-nonconforming. but of course any celebration of the so-called freak is viewed as an aggression against the "normal"

but in reality, someone celebrating and showing appreciation for one group is not an inherent dismissal of another, especially if the umbrella includes both in the first place. why is it that when you see a queen, a dyke, a fag, a fairy, your first response is "but I don't like that."

i need you to understand that your distaste for gender nonconformity or strangeness is not groundbreaking, it is the norm that gets people killed.

#also no offense but i saw PLENTY of goth and punk people at pride in all black who weren't condescending about rainbows #or even still incorporated specific color schemes into their all black outfits #ntm all the sensible shoes and people in just regular clothes. there's not a dress code dude #so like at a certain point if you cannot deal with the colors at pride (not for sensory overload reasons) then it really is a you problem #ultimately it isn't about you. it's about people celebrating being different and true to themselves #and recognizing that this diversity (colorfulness) should be celebrated in a world that wants you DEAD #like a butch woman was killed THIS YEAR for daring to use the bathroom idk what to tell you man #nadia rambles

I kinda want to make a mini-comic about my Vile-coded roommate.

My roommate knows and loves the idea of me making his rants about how much he hates X as a comic. He doesn't know much about the franchise except for what he's seen in Marvel vs. Capcom, his cousin's gameplay of Battle Network, The Day of Sigma, and my gameplay of the x series (I SUCK tho)

since your blog is aquatic themed(at least i think?) i was curious to know your ocs favorite sea creatures

This was very fun to answer!!

Marshall's favorite is jellyfish because they're just pretty. I feel like his favorite would be moon jellyfish.

Lawrence likes seahorses, he thinks they're very cute. Plus they're the only sea creature he really knows anything about. Long-snouted seahorses are his fav.

Sadie would like crabs. Mostly because that crab meme still lives rent free in her head, but she also thinks they're just really neat. Loves Atlantic ghost crabs the most.

Nathan likes sharks, which I'm sure isn't shocking. He likes how cool they look, and finds how people misunderstand them relatable :') He loves tiger sharks.

Charlotte isn't very fond of most animals, sea creatures included. She finds coral pretty, but that's pretty much it. Could see her liking blood belly comb jellies tho.

Harper likes manta rays. Not for any big reason, since they also wouldn't know basically anything about marine animals, but they just look cute.

Adding Nadia because I just wanna expand on what she was like more. She'd like octopuses, specifically dumbo octopuses. They just have such cute little faces.
