hello i am a simple reader LOVING these teacher!ross suggestions, but as a trainee teacher it is making me having absolutely ridiculous delusions about this happening to me in the future with someone 😭😭 in England you have to do two years after you finish your training year where you're called an ECT (or Early Career Teacher) and you often have a mentor at your school who helps you to get used to teaching your own class once you've qualified,,, can you see where i'm headed with this??

i'm just imagining teacher reader starting her ECT years with Mr MacDonald as her mentor, and he teaches in the class next to hers... and he just absolutely adores her and adores how engaged the kids are with her lessons... and is completely obsessed with helping her whenever she asks and staying late with her to help her with marking and being her first call whenever she needs something... and after every time one of them pops into the other's classroom for something, the kids just INUNDATE them with questions like "ARE YOU AND MR MACDONALD IN LOVE????" "MR MACDONALD DO YOU FANCY MISS *reader*?????"

and they just have to bite back their grins because yes they are in love but they're terrified to tell each other

I imagine you walking into this new school, not knowing a single person and just having a name on an email to refer to. You’re so anxious and don’t really know anyone, so when you see the really handsome, smiley man in the corridor, you’re like ‘I’m so sorry to bother you, but I’m looking for a Mr Macdonald?’. His eyebrows raise and the second he tells you that you’re talking to him, you feel an immediate wave of relief. You have a little meeting together before your first proper lesson and getting settled into your classroom and everything, and he’s so good at calming your nerves - ‘if you need anything at all, I’m literally next door, I mean it. you have nothing to worry about.’

And yes, I completely agree with the idea that he just adores you. Once you’ve been there a couple of weeks and you’re a bit more settled in, the kids are actually disappointed if they have his class instead of yours, to which he responds with ‘you know what, fair enough.’. As your mentor, he has to come and watch a few of your lessons and give you feedback, and he finds himself stumbling around his words when you ask for feedback because he was too busy admiring the colour of your nail polish and how encouraging you are when the kids get things right, he has 0 notes on his notepad.

I love the idea of him desperately wanting her to need his help, too. I reckon you’re filling in some feedback sheets after some mock exams and you just need to ask him about something. He’s got a full class, maybe like year 9s (so they’re about 13 or 14), so you just gently knock on the classroom door. He’s stood at the board talking about something, pointing, and his face literally lights up when he sees you. He waves you to come in and you’re like ‘sorry, could I just have a word?’ and he’s like ‘don’t apologise!! everyone, be copying down what’s on the board. yeah, everything alright?’. He listens to you so intently and he’s nodding and helping you, taking a seat at his desk and turning his laptop to you to show you what to do. The kids are whispering between themselves as they watch you together, a small laugh escaping your lips when he says something silly, and going all bashful and pink when you’re like ‘thank you so much, that’s been so helpful.’. He continues the conversation for a little bit, simply so you don’t leave yet, and he has the absolute look of love on his face. When you leave, he sighs a little bit like a lovesick teenager, sitting back in his chair and forgetting that he has an audience. Like you said, the kids are like ‘omg are you together!! are you in love!!’ and he obviously turns on teacher mode and is like ‘that’s enough of that lol.’

And yes, he tells them to be quiet and that they’re wrong, but they’re actually so right. He is in love with you within a matter of weeks, and so are you, and I think it takes until at least six months for you to recognise and accept it.

i lost my taste and smell to covid so here's what things smell and taste like to me, an ongoing list

-coca cola = tastes like: seltzer water | smells like: nothing

-every single soda ever = seltzer water | smells like: nothing (except for mountain dew, which weirdly smells flowery for a split second before losing any concept of smell)

-seltzer water - air, possibly even breath | smells like: nothing

-whiskey - water, but ouch | smells like: goats? does that make sense? it smells like how a goat smells

-bourbon - water, but ouch with a dirt aftertone. not in a bad way, im kind of into it, there's just a distinct dirt taste to it | smells like: petting zoo. Still can't figure out why dark liquor smells like that and at this point im scared to look into it

-red wine - dust, but specifically dust from a basement full of books. not exactly complaining, just weird that i can taste it | smells like: literally nail polish remover

-nail polish remover - didn't drink it, but it does smell like nothing. insane how much like nothing it smells

hello, hello!! :D yes! i’d love to help out a bit; i had a great deal of fun working on those ‘chains’, haha! i made them as a safer alternative to wearing genuine wallet chains//pant chains, as i was worried that my usual chains would be deemed too unsafe for the venue :’) but i still wanted to look cool, haha!!

it’s these guys, right? :)

the ascensionism ‘chain’ was definitely a great deal easier to work in than the vore ‘chain’ :0 i used the candy stripe pattern from traditional friendship bracelet making, but instead of worrying about tying a bracelet off, i simply worked the lobster clasps into the embroidery floss instead! :)

as a very general tutorial on friendship bracelet making as a whole, i highly recommend >>this<< tutorial on YouTube! :D it helps you through some very beginner friendly designs, and helps you get used to the crafting process as a whole! :D

these ‘chains’ use the exact same principles as friendship bracelets! same work process, same knots, same pretty much everything! :D but! i’ll do my best to explain my process regardless :)

depending on how long you’d like your ‘chain’, i’d measure some embroidery floss to be double that! so, for instance, i wanted my ‘chain’ to be around 18 in.//46 cm long, so i cut my thread to be a little over 36 in.//92 cm long! :D

after that, i’d grab a clasp and loop one end of the threads through it, making sure that the clasp is positioned at the middle of my threads before tying an overhand knot at the end! this helps double the threads your working with and makes your ‘chain’ a little thicker! :D so, if you’re using three different colors, you’d be working with six threads.

once the thread is ready to start working on, this is where i start to plan out my designs with beads and letters! :D spacing is super important to me, so this is usually where i start plotting how much of the ‘chain’ i want to knot vs. how much of it i want to decorate with beads and etc. etc. i usually take a picture to help me visualize it better while i’m working on the knots! :D

i highly recommend using a sewing or embroidery needle to help with threading your letters and beads on, haha! definitely a big time saver :)

that’s pretty much it, haha! after i put on my letters and decorations, i finish knotting the rest of the ‘chain’ and slip on another lobster clasp :) after knotting and trimming the threads, i usually use a clear nail polish on both ends of the ‘chain’ to make sure nothing breaks or undoes itself while i’m wearing it!

these ‘chains’ are honestly super fun and i really enjoyed making them! however, the process for the bottom is a bit trickier than the process for the top :0 i struggled with it quite a bit!

if you want your ‘chain’ to have more than one layer for lettering, like what i did with the vore lyrics, than while you’re threading your letter beads through, instead of threading all of them through one massive chunk of your threads, your going to wank to split your total threads back into their individual sections. so, with the previous example in mind, instead of threading all six of your threads through the beads, your going to thread three of them through one layer, and then the other three threads through the other layer.

when dividing up your layers, i highly recommend making your topmost layer have less letters//words than your bottommost layer! :0 that way, when you reconnect the strands for the final section of the bracelet, the topmost layer will tighten and make itself straighter than the bottom layer, clearly separating the two. if you don’t distribute the words unevenly, then your two layers will get themselves tangled and mixed up in each other! :0

the vore ‘chain’ is super long too! i had to measure nearly 90 in.//228 cm worth of thread to compensate all the different techniques i used, so don’t beat yourself up if you feel like you’re not getting the hang of it!

whereas the ascensionism ‘chain’ only took me 2 tries + a total of barely 4 hours of working, the vore ‘chain’ took me 5 different tries for a total of almost 16 hours of crafting!! i thought i was losing my mind, haha!

it’s a massive process of trial and error, that’s for sure! :’D

but, i think that’s pretty much the gist honestly! :0 i promise it’s not as complicated as i feel like i made it sound, haha! once you get a bit of practice in and start getting a better feel for it, it’s actually quite simple :)

5/17-5/21 Oh my god Why so many props

Yeah I'm making Thoron too. Step 1. Fucking box I've had on my floor for 3 years going "oh I'll use this one day", cover it in foam for a cover, paint those edges gold so they blend in later, explode with how long it takes for paint to dry. Also step 0: install magnets inside the box as a surprise tool to help me not have to hold the thing all day (aka I'm going to be making a removable strap to attach it to my belt tomorrow)

Step 2. Cut out paper. Tape it down because every type of glue you tried had problems. Put a little tab so you can still open the box and hold the book open like a cool person.

Step 3: decorate

There will be text in the box I just haven't gotten there yet. Yes i easily could have but that's a quick task. Write gibberish in minecraft enchanting table. Ok next day next day. you made a cool sword but it's literally just white. time to paint. Put a base coat on it.

5/21 Highlights and shadows. Yes I promise this is different.

But there is a gem on the sword? So how did I make that. Oh boy you are not ready for my trademark "who the fuck needs resin". HOT GLUE TIME BABY. You can make so much out of hot glue and nail polish. did you know that. Put some hot glue in the bottom of a can, cut it out, trim it into the correct shape because you made a circle and you needed an oval

Paint with your dad's tool marking nail polish and the sparkle coat you bought when you homemade Hu Tao's Vision last year. It made one of the gems a little dark (its darker in picture but it still looks a little bad) but its fine. You are going to hot glue the hot glue to a sword tomorrow after you run over and get a clear coat on the sword from your friend.

Tomorrow plan: - Make attachment mechanism for Thoron - Clear coat sword then add gem - Style wig Thursday plans: - Small fixes - maybe make my big clip in the front even bigger so I have arm mobility - practice my skit. I haven't done it a single time yet, let alone with the coat on. Don't know if I'll update tomorrow, definitely will again before con with the final pictures!

Ugh this whole family has put their entire hope and future on their eldest son who got a football scholarship, but then got kicked of the team because he was injured. McCall: I’ve talked to your coach and he’s agreed to extend your scholarship for a year. Football player whose whole goal in life was to go pro and make tons of money from that and with 0 educational goals: My sister wrote most of my papers and did  most of my homework. What am I supposed to do?

Gives the kid the watch off his wrist....why? lol it’s solid gold. Okay. I do like the birds of paradise behind him though. This is also a gym but for some reason 90% of time they’re next to the pool.

I adore Brock, and I’m glad he made one more final episode. But since this is the final ever episode with these characters I’m kind of bummed that Control and Mickey aren’t in them. I got used to Scott not being in a lot of them quite a while ago. (Scott’s probably still dealing with the fact he killed a man. 😭) But I mean heck they gave McCall a restaurant with an old friend behind the desk and she’s not been around for a lot of episodes despite what seemed like a move to try and make her a reoccurring regular.

I will say that’s maybe the best response to someone surprising you with a gun. Blows them a kiss. 😂 Ving Rhames did a great job in this episode.

Ah yes had to fit in the “I’m a father too” one last time. In response to...uh your son is hanging out with a drug dealer, working for him so I know how you feel. Scott hasn’t done that has he? McCall be nicer to your son. Oh wait. “Sometimes they want love so badly they’ll do almost anything to get it won’t they?” Maybe you haven’t loved your son enough McCall? Huh? I’ve got feelings about that. This is the last one. Welcome to a detour. Robert McCall has three children. One, a girl he was unaware of is the oldest who was raised in Montreal  with a police officer as a father who loves her very much. Then he has Scott and a girl who died as a kid. It’s unknown whether she was a baby or a kid, but I kind of think Scott’s the baby. And here’s my reasoning why. I think they probably had the girl and they loved her very much and then had Scott and the girl died and they sent Scott off to boarding school. Because at one point when Scott’s been accidentally abducted Robert says to his ex wife, that they tried really hard not to be parents. And even though it’s Scott whose in danger they spend most of their time talking about their dead daughter. He talks about her a lot. More so then the son he’s got whose still alive and for most of these seasons, the only child he had. Scott doesn’t seem to be terribly cut up about his sister, just tells his older sister that he’s happy not to be an only child any more and not alone. Which makes me think either he was too young to remember much about his other sister. Heck, Scott might’ve been like a “fix-it/band-aid baby” to try and save their marriage or a mistake. Because the ex-wife has shown up twice, played by two different actresses and essentially in both cases/instances, she doesn’t seem to know much about Scott and seems more or less determined not to...care too much. And it’s kind of a bummer since they introduce Scott in season 1 episode 1 and McCall is all like “I’m here my boy! I’ve retired, let’s fix our relationship!” and then we don’t really see Scott all that much. It feels like they meant to include him more and then had to cut it. It feels like based off that same Scott’s accidentally been kidnapped episode, that there probably were scenes where Scott and his father embrace or have important conversations but they were cut. Possibly for time, but who knows why exactly. But it’s just so sad. Because Mr. McCall plays the “I’m a father” card so frequently and yet he’s never really been a father.

Sure he’s got kids, he’s made kids, but the eldest one he was unaware of, the other daughter died while he was working, and then he ran away so hard and so fast that Scott spends most of his time snapping at his father for abandoning him. That promise in that first episode never got fulfilled and I think that’s what makes me so miffed about the whole thing. The show opens with here’s this ex-spy out to help people and also be there for his musician son and to repair that time spent away and to bond with him and instead that whole string got tied off into a circle, it’s the same ride every episode. They like each other they hate each other they make no progress towards healing. Which is that both of Scott’s parents abandoned him into a boarding school. In McCall’s case, since this is mostly his story, it’s a combination of fear because of what happened to his father and also the death of his daughter and all this grief and trauma but that first episode promises that he’s going to fix that, get better, that he and Scott McCall are going to finally heal and be a family. And each episode Scott’s in, that’s how it ends, but then in the next episode Robert is pissed about something Scott’s done or thinks he’s an idiot or a fool and, it’s dumb stuff, like sometimes Scott makes mistakes and is too trusting, but generally Scott is right. His instincts are almost always right. But McCall never trusts them, never trusts Scott and never tries to teach him the correct way to deal with things so it just continues to go in circles over and over again until the ending where things are better. I mean hell, Robert himself gets kidnapped and almost mortally wounded and they don’t even show Scott and Robert’s reunion at the end of that episode. They instead spend the “tearful reunion” time between some random guy we met for the first time an episode prior and Robert.

And some of this might be because they had planned that spin off with Scott as the main character but since that didn’t happen, it’s just kind of...frustrating.

And there we have it, the final shot of the Equalizer. Kid running off to college with the grapes of wrath under his arm(gift from McCall), his coach and his little sister there to cheer him on as if a college campus is one single building like a high school, and turning back to wave at Mr. McCall. I’ve got a couple other screenshot collections to go through that I never shared. I’ll get those together at some point. But there we go, all done. It’s a weird choice for a final episode, feels like it was cut off before they planned suddenly and so they weren’t able to have that type of episode that most shows kind of do for their finales. Though who knows....maybe 80′s shows are like that????

fair warning i wrote an x reader fic once in 7th grade for wattpad, so- i have 0 idea if this is good or not. just wrote how i usually do but with you/yourself pronouns lolol

Jake had been awkwardly fumbling around “his” room (really it was just his uncles guest room that he was now staying in for a unknown amount of time) to try and make it look neater. Dirty clothes were shoved under his bed, his nail polish stained carpet was shoved into his closet, and his bed was as made as he could manage.

He was never the best with cleaning his room but he always tried when needed. And today it was definitely, definitely, needed. His crush was finally coming over to his house, and whilst it wasn’t a date- it was just a school thing- it still was very important. 

It took the curly haired boy years to get over his love for Devon, and the only reason he even could to begin with was because of (y/n). He remembered the first conversation he had with you as clear as day. It was a hot ass day but the school had forced everybody to eat outside because of something wrong in the cafeteria. (y/n) had walked over to Jake and ask to borrow his water bottle. It was 3 words, barely even a sentence.

And yet that one moment was enough for Jake to fall head over heels in love with you.

After re-ordering his bookshelf for the 4th time he let himself take a step back and admire his work. His room was probably the cleanest it had been in a while, you might even be impressed. If he ignored the banging sounds against his closet door (Jake had shoved Chucky in there along with his closet, Chucky was asking him too many questions about what he was doing and it was embarrassing) his room was rather peaceful and welcoming.

A knock at his door caused him to whip around, about to tell Junior to fuck off, but then he saw who was at the door.

It was you.

You were standing at his doorway, in his house (well- his uncles house), and smiling right at him. Maybe it was forced. Maybe you didn’t want to be here, but frankly that didn’t matter too much to Jake right now. His entire body was practically shaking with excitement.

“Hey- sorry for just appearing, your uncle let me in.”  You scratched at the back of your neck, a nervous habit of yours, but didn’t let your smile waver. You had been wanting to hang out with Jake Wheeler for months now and this school project was just the excuse to do so.

Jake just stood there for a moment, staring at you, but just as you were about to say something he immediately sprinted to grab his backpack. “N- No! No that’s fine- you don’t need to say sorry, (y/n). I uh- I was cleaning my room, if you rang the doorbell I probably didn’t hear.” You had to lean over to see what he was doing, but he was just frantically grabbing the supplies for the project.   

“I- I really should’ve been more prepared, sorry about that-” He murmured more apologizes but most of them were hard to hear or understand. You let out a small laugh, your smile only growing. “It’s ok, Jake. I brought markers and stuff- I don’t- I don’t have a board though, my parents wouldn’t get me one.” You shuffled your feet out of regret of mentioning your parents. Could you even call the monsters that kidnapped you your “parents”? You didn’t want to but found yourself having too constantly.

“Oh! I have some markers as well, mainly sharpies. I have some tape, and uh- there’s a printer somewhere. I don’t think I have a board, jesus fucking christ why didn’t I think to get a board-” You chuckled nervously as Jake cursed himself out. In a weird way it was kind of cute. 

“Oh, wait- I think- Maybe Junior- My uh- my cousin-” “I know who Junior is, Jake, he’s very popular.” You didn’t mean to interrupt but apparently you did. The curly haired boys face flushed in embarrassment. “Yeah! Yeah, of course you do, why wouldn’t you? But uh- he runs these drives for the homeless, so he might have something we can use.”

You fight back a scoff and just nod, watching as Jake practically scatters of out of the room. You remember Junior bragging about how he made some book drive for the poor, you also remembered having to resist the urge to slap him. A fucking book drive? Junior lives in a mansion, a fucking mansion, and all he can give out is some used books? No. That’s bullshit. It’s some rich white bullshit.

With Jake out of the room you are finally able to actually walk around the room. His bed was thrown together in a almost-neat way, his books were color coded, and his floor looked as if it had been recently vacuumed. You wondered how long it had taken for him to this, but with that thought came a small pang of guilt. He’s been so anxious, and whilst he was probably excited he might not be- you just couldn’t help but feel bad for how much effort Jake has put in.

You ventured farther into the room, walking by the rattling closet. There must be an ac vent in there or something. You noticed something shiny stuffed under the secondary seemingly-unused bed and decided to crouch down to look at it. At closer examination you found a knife, not quite rusty but not quite clean. Whether or not the substance on it was mud or blood wasn’t clear.

You slowly ran your finger over the blade, wincing back at the sudden spike of pain. The knife was sharp- oddly sharp. Barely any pressure was applied and it still managed to cause tiny red droplets to blossom on your finger tip. You put it down and returned it to where it was. Why Jake had that wasn’t your problem. Not your place to ask him (no matter how much questions were flying through your head.)

At some point the rattling and banging at the closet door, something was wrong. An AC vent wouldn’t do that. Something was inside the closet- something was trapped in the closet, banging against it- wordlessly screaming for help. What if it had something to do with the knife? What if this was a set up? Another trick for somebody else to take you again? Panic filled your chest and you stepped back. No amount of courage would be great enough to get you to fall for this.

It was starting to get hard to breath, all logic leaving your brain. If somebody was in there they could take you. They’d take you away and they might be even worse from your current captors- you need to run- you need to leave- you need to-

The door burst open and a red headed doll collapsed onto to the floor along with other junk. You jumped back, grabbing onto the nearest object you could in case you needed to attack. “FUCK YOU JAKE! NOW I GOTTA DEAL WITH THIS RODENT!” The doll spoke, it’s accent and voice was familiar to you. You couldn’t understand what about it sounded so- so safe, or as safe as it could feel seeing as he just implied it was going to kill you.

The doll turned to you and that’s when you got even more confused. It looked like the doll you had as a kid, the one that would always promise it’d protect you. In the end it failed. And how couldn’t it? It was just a doll that you thought was real, but here it was- walking and talking. This had to be a sick joke. None of this made sense, this couldn’t be real. Every single nerve in your body was vibrating and screaming at you to run whilst, what you thought was delusional, childhood memories told you to stay.

At some point the Good Guy doll stopped walking, you couldn’t comprehend why. Rage-fuelled murderers didn’t normally hesitate. “You- You don’t- Stay back! Stay the fuck back! Don’t- Don’t touch me!” You waved the object you had grabbed in the doll’s direction.

You couldn’t figure out what the doll was thinking, you couldn’t see what was on it’s mind. Something about that pissed you off. “..(y/n)? Holy shit- Is there where those fuckers took you?!” Anything else he said you simply blocked out. He knew your name. Why did he know your name? All those memories of him was just a delusion- a coping  mechanism to help ignore what was happening. A coping mechanism that didn’t work as you were kidnapped and taken away.

“I don’t- I don’t know you.” You hoped that that statement would become a reality. That you truly didn’t know who he was, and he didn’t know who you were. God, what was his name ago? Was it Charlie, Canine, Karl? It started with a C, you remember it. It was Chucky. His name was Chucky- you remember now.

Wait. No, You don’t remember now. You don’t, you don’t, you don’t. There’s nothing to remember. With every pleasant memory of that doll came the memory of when you were taken away, when you were beaten and shoved into the trunk of a car. It hurt too much to remember what had happened when you were a child, good or bad.

Chucky just continued to stare, growing aggravated. “Yeah. Yeah, you do know me, kid. I’m Chucky, I’m your friend to the end- remember?” The doll  stared at you expectantly. “Now put down the weapon and stop crying. I’m going to need you calm so that you can tell me the address of the fuckers who took you.”
