Lucifer's favorite love language is quality time, but it can be argued that acts of service are his love language as well.

Lucifer is fairly busy in his day-to-day affairs, and it pains him whenever he's too busy to spend time with you. He's always busy working on paperwork that has been piled up so high that you can barely see him behind all of the papers. However, your presence brightens up his day as you make your way into his room. You don't say a word as you plop onto the sofa in his room, absentmindedly scrolling through your DDD or reading a book that you brought yourself. Just your presence is enough to get him to relax and get right back to work so that he can go to bed sooner to cuddle with you.

Furthermore, if you just so happened to brew his favorite Hell Coffee, setting it down on his desk, he'll feel himself soften even more in your presence. The coffee you make for him is always especially bitter, not that he minds. Lucifer is always looking after everyone, his brothers, Diavolo, and you. So going out of your way to do things just for him makes his pride swell. This man is so whipped for you even if he won't outwardly say it LMAO.

Mammon [💰💛]

Mammon's favorite love language is physical touch, but it can be argued that words of affirmation are his love language as well.

Always the tsundere, Mammon is not one to ask you for your attention directly, instead implying it and waiting for you to take action. Being the Avatar of Greed, Mammon is determined to hold onto every shred of attention that you give to him, which contributes to how possessive he is over you. Somehow he always has a hand on you, whether it's his hand wrapped around your shoulder protectively as you two navigate the bustling streets of the Devildom or the way he holds your hand tracing circles against your palm as the two of you lay together in bed. He can't keep his hands to himself, but thankfully you don't mind.

Mammon's self-esteem always takes a hit whenever his brothers berate him for being a "greedy scumbag". Please reassure him and tell him how amazing he is. Brush your hands through his hair, and press a gentle kiss to his forehead as you tell him how much you love him. Leviathan [🐍🧡]

Leviathan's favorite love language is quality time, but it can be argued that receiving gifts is his love language as well.

Levi enjoys the company you provide. If he could, he would spend hours upon hours holed up in his room, playing video games, or watching anime, or reading manga. Of course with you at his side at all times. Perhaps maybe the two of you could even do matching couple cosplays together, but alas Levi is too shy to even bring it up without his face flushing 5 different shades of red at the thought. Really, he just enjoys doing things together with you, and he cherishes all the little moments you have together.

He's always doing his best to get his hands on the latest anime merch, or the newest release of his favorite manga, but he appears crestfallen whenever he can't get his hands on what he wants despite waiting in line for 5 hours. His face lights up however when he finds that you managed to get your hands on the exact thing that he wants and he feels his heart flutter when you hand it to him, telling him that it's a gift for him. Levi swears that he just fell more in love with you than he was before.

Satan [😾💚]

Satan's favorite love language is words of affirmation, but it can be argued that quality time is his love language as well.

To Satan, words are the best way he can convey his emotions, especially if it's written down. He struggles a lot with who he is, without feeling a surge of anger whenever he feels that he's starting to be a little too similar to Lucifer. He wants to be his own demon without constantly feeling like he's just a copy of Lucifer. Tell him about how smart he is, how he always knows what to do, or how reliable he is. He'll have the smugest smile on his face as he listens to your praise, and he shoots it at Lucifer because he knows that he's your favorite and not Lucifer.

At the end of the day, Satan just wants to spend as much time as he can with you, unwinding with a book in one hand, and preferably with you sitting in his lap reading with him. Not many words are spoken between the two of you, but just the feeling of you resting against his chest is enough to help Satan relax and forget about his troubles. As much as he enjoys listening to your voice, and hearing you ramble about your day or things that interest you, he also enjoys the silence with the two of you basking in each other's presence.

Asmodeus [💋🩷]

Asmo can't get enough of you. Asmo is so open with his affection towards you and he's not afraid to show it when he openly holds your face in his hands and coos about just how adorable the two of you are together. Whether it's in class, when you're out and about, or when the two of you are hanging out together, Asmo either has his fingers threaded into yours or has his leg pressing against yours. You don't mind though, his presence is comforting to you.

Asmo loves it whenever you get all fussy over him and do things for him. Don't get him wrong, he's independent and can do things on his own, but he enjoys being pampered and taken care of by you. Yes please do his nails for him, please paint his nails for him while the two of you have your regularly scheduled gossip sesh, please massage his shoulders, he was feeling a bit sore around his neck.

Beel loves you and the fact that you're so willing to indulge him and his hunger. He knows that he has a voracious appetite, but does that stop you from making more than enough of his favorite foods? Hell no. You wanna make this man melt even more? Offer to help him whenever he works out, maybe sitting on his back so he can use you as a weight, or stay there by his side and hand him some water whenever he finishes working out so he can stay hydrated.

Beel struggles with conveying his emotions and ever since what happened with Lilith, that has worsened exponentially. He's not the best at saying how he's feeling and at times he can get depressed and insecure over things that happened in the past. Reassure this gentle giant, tell him that what happened was not his fault and that no matter what happens, you'll always love him unconditionally. He's so, so soft for you.

Belphegor [🐮💜]

Belphegor's favorite love language is physical touch, but it can be argued that quality time is his love language as well.

Belphie is clingy, that's an established fact lmao. He always has his tail wrapped around you to ensure that you don't suddenly leave him. Pillows don't have legs after all! He's such a little brat too, he would totally slip his ice-cold hands underneath your shirt right as you're about to fall asleep and would blink sleepily at you unapologetically as you jump and squirm to get away from his freezing fingers. Belphie discovered that he couldn't sleep without keeping his hands on you. He'll pout and whine until you oblige and slide into bed with him.

He loves taking naps with you, and he'll keep you trapped there for as long as he can. There's just something that's so comforting about you and him lying together in bed. He'll press his forehead against yours and squeeze you so tight to the point where you can't breathe. Sometimes Belphie wonders how he got so lucky, managing to get the chance to call you his own. It's only when he watches over you, cuddled up to him that he feels his heart melt. He wants to keep you with him like this forever, no matter the cost.

It’s a nice beautiful spring afternoon, the sun quite bright and warm as its hazy rays fall down on you. You continue to walk with a certain prep in your step, and a huge daisy bouquet in your hand.

You’re on your way to your boyfriend’s apartment, deciding to take a walk instead of your car because of the warming weather and the soft chirping of the birds surrounding you. It’s just about the most perfect weather you can have; not too hot or too cold, the breeze whipping past you is fresh and sweet, accompanied with the warm aroma of the breads being baked at the bakeries you pass by, and little butterflies flying all around you.

It’s been around two weeks since you last saw him because he got busy with some movie shootings locally. If he was at home, he was either home extremely late at night or extremely early in the morning, and that time too was also spent in sleeping or practicing his scripts over and over again, which led to a lack of time being spent between the two of you.

However, he finally gets the time to call you up and tell you that he has a free day, and he doesn’t wish to spend it with anyone except you. You were beyond ecstatic to receive the phone call, practically already out the door before you can even hang up.

You reach his apartment and just as you ring the bell, the door is opened as if he was waiting at the door for you, and you are quickly engulfed in the most warm hug you’ve ever known. You sigh against his shoulder, closing your eyes as your arms wrap around his torso firmly, letting out a sigh as you let his scent encase you completely.

“Hi baby,” you mumble against his shoulder, the bouquet you’re holding in your hands behind his back.

“Hi bubs,” he mutters as he presses a kiss to your forehead, before gently cradling your face in his hands and pressing a soft kiss to your lips.

Your grip only tightens around his torso as you gladly oblige to the kiss, exhaling deeply when he parts from you. A small smile rests on your face as you unwrap your arms from around his torso and show him the bouquet.

“I got you a little something,” you grin, showing him the fresh bouquet of daisies. He softly gasps at the sight and takes the bouquet from you.

“You got me flowers?” He asks, his eyes wide and a certain glint in them as he looks from you to the flowers.

“Yeah,” you smile, “do you like them?”

“I love them,” he whispers, moving the bouquet closer to him as he takes a sniff, the fresh herbal and grassy aroma of them filling up his nose. “But you didn’t have to, you know?” He says, smiling softly as he steps aside from the open door to make space for you to enter inside, following you.

“Why not?” You ask as you watch him walk to the kitchen as he gets a glass vase and starts to fill it with some water. “I don’t need a reason to bring you flowers, I just wanted to.”

He looks up from the daisies with a smile on his face, one which is genuine, one which is laced with happiness, one which is reserved only to show you how much he adores you.

“You’re the cutest you know that?” He says softly as he puts the flowers in the vase and makes his way to you, wrapping his arms firmly around your waist. “Thank you, they are absolutely wonderful,”

You smile at him and press a soft kiss on his lips. “You are welcome baby,”

It’s safe to say that you surprised him with flowers a lot more often than just this one time, a different kind of flower each time, and his apartment always lights up with the clean aroma of flowers all the time, wafting around with the sweet memories of you.

I do like transfem Felix! In fact, I originally leaned more towards this option. The Senti-lore is extremely queer by nature, and I think it’s wonderful so many people can see themselves in the kids.

Really, it comes down to personal interpretation. Some notes below:

1. Colt Fathom is a massive douchebag.

Nothing groundbreaking here. We been knew. At first glance, you’d assume he would want a male heir for Toxic Masculinity Reasons™; but I think he would prefer a daughter, also for Toxic Masculinity Reasons™.

Colt is the kind of person who wants to elevate his own status in the world, and the solution he resorted to is marriage. This kind of alliances is frequent in the spheres he navigates, as seen in S5 with the Adrigami plot: as such, he would likely see his child not as an heir, like the GDV lineage would, but rather as something he could trade for even more power. A daughter of noble pedigree and born into considerable wealth would undoubtedly be a catch, and give him a leg up in his race against other rich jerks.

Additionally, we’ve seen how he acts around Felix — how he perceives him as a threat and a reminder of his own mortality. Peacock curse or not, asking for a son would have forced him to face the prospect of eventually being overpowered by his own progeniture every single day; but a little girl? Surely, there’s no threat there, right?

2. Felix’s first appearance gives us lots to think about.

Firstly, when it comes to Adrien’s reaction. When Amelie explains that she decided to drop by “so [they] could all be together” on the anniversary of Emilie’s fridging, this is the (adorable) face he makes:

Because he understands! If his aunt is here, surely his cousin must be here too. “All together” means all together.

Yet, when Felix actually appears, draped in dramatic lighting like the theatre kid he is, Adrien still looks strangely surprised:

Which Amelie immediately follows up by highlighting that they look “just like twins”. The characters should not need this comment — they were here the whole time the kids were growing up! Of course, there’s a doylist explanation to this line: we, the public, must understand that Identity Shenanigans Will Ensue (and they did). But what could this mean in-world?

I propose that the cousins did not always look exactly like each other — that they were perfect twins as young kids, but became more and more different as time went by. Perhaps one developed more feminine features, while the other grew up to look more masculine. If the Agrestes did not witness the early stages of Felix’s transition (probably started right after Colt’s death, so only a few months before canon), it makes sense they would be taken aback by the newly recovered resemblance between the kids.

And, of course, it adds some depth to the Identity Shenanigans. Especially if you read Adrien as genderqueer or transfem.

3. Felix exhibits stereotypically masculine behaviours every chance he gets.

This goes from wearing what is basically the Official Rich Boy Uniform (waistcoat, tie, black and white palette):

To certain mannerisms, like putting his feet on Gabriel’s desk to assert dominance against the guy who could literally snap him out of existence:

To the way he perceives himself: a cursed prince from a twisted fairytale, who systematically places himself in the role of the protector (even if it’s not always appreciated by the people in his life).

To me, this sliiightly over-the-top behaviour is very reminiscent of a child who just figured out something huge about their identity and is exploring it to the fullest — to find out what it truly means to them, and which aspects they want to incorporate into their life.

Which leads me to the most important point:

4. The Peacock Miraculous! 💜🦚

Deeply associated with Felix’s reclamation of his safety, freedom and bodily autonomy. And when we think about peacocks, what do we think about?

Colourful feathers. Panache. Ostentation (this is literally what groups of peafowls are called). A conception of masculinity that is different from social standards in most of the Western world, but is there and bold and unapologetic.

We don’t get to see Felix using the brooch for the first time — even his mum, who he trusts with everything, is absent. He needs this privacy to come to terms with his powers and make them his.

But then, when we do get to see him transform — everybody else witnesses it too. Felix goes from hiding behind Adrien’s face, ergo disguising as someone he is not, to revealing his identity to both the audience and the entirety of Paris.

This is Argos embracing who he truly is, even if the world might call him monstrous.

And finally, one more point:

5. Why would Tomoe prefer a model over a quasi-prince as a potential match for her daughter?

I get it — she has a partnership going on with Gabriel. But the woman is leagues smarter than him (What? Like it’s hard?) and could most likely find another way to turn the world into her own little dystopian dream, should she want to. Not to mention, even if Adrien is a catch by most people’s standards, he is still the bane of the GDV lineage.

Felix is the heir. Felix is just as wealthy, if not wealthier than the Agrestes. Felix is the best at everything he does (chess, horse-riding, karate) and as such should be a perfect fit for Kagami, even by Tomoe’s insanely high standards.

Yet, she keeps referring to him as this corrupting influence: not because he is a supervillain (she hangs out with them on the regular), but because he might whisper dangerous ideas about ✨ freedom ✨ and ✨ bodily autonomy ✨ in her sweet daughter’s ear while they make out dressed as Adrien’s parents. We know how important femininity is to the Tsurugi lineage: Duusu forbid this monster talks Kagami into rejecting it in any form.

So, there you have it, Anon. I’m sure there’s a lot of evidence to support other interpretations, but this is the one that resonates most with my brain! 💜🦚🏳️‍⚧️

Can’t believe I almost forgot:

“Felix” literally means happiness and luck: a weird choice from Colt, and it’s unlikely Amelie had any say in the matter. So when Argos says:

“Isn’t it great? We have everything we need to be happy!”

It very much sounds like his first name could be a conscious reclamation on his end!

🦚 - Are there any queer books/shows/etc. that you would suggest?

🦚 - ARE THERE?!?! YES!!!

Okay, I'll start with the basic and say Heartstopper because that has been holding my heart and watering my crops for years. The Netflix adaptation is really great and a good way to start if you know nothing about it, but I highly recommend the webcomic! There's a lot more story there by now and some of it is different, so it's worth seeing both.

The Owl House is a Disney cartoon series with some amazing representation, some really well written characters and honestly just a great story in general (some good whump as well, considering it's a kid's show). On that same vibe, Kipo and She-Ra, both from Netflix, are incredible and have some good queer rep.

For anime lovers, I cannot shut up about Given! High school boys navigating their crushes, communication, some heavier subjects (non-related to homophobia or anything) and they're in a band!!! The songs are great, the characters are lovable and the movie after the series, focuses on the relationship of the other two members of the band who are already adults, which I also love!

For books, I Wish You All the Best is one I read a while ago and absolutely adored! It's about a high-school student figuring out they're nonbinary and navigating their first love. Another book I enjoyed but which should definitely be taken with a grain of salt is Docile, it's whumpy, it's got some very fucked up relationship dynamics, and it reminds me a lot of the BBU, but I'd say to read some reviews first to make sure you're down for it xD

Yes, let’s talk about the sword-fighting fic while I procrastinate writing another fight scene.

One thing about me is that I absolutely love short stories with a twist ending. Give me a reveal in the last few lines that reframes the entire work in a brand new light, and I will be giggling and kicking my feet uncontrollably.

Sometimes It’s Worth It All is my attempt at recreating this kind of narrative. And, of course, the twist comes from Felix.

By the time he enters the fray, Kagami is exhausted from twenty-four hours of fighting for her life… But also from months of watching her world crumble around her following her mother’s murder. She’s accepted that she spent her entire life tangled in an elaborate web of lies, and that she alone can see through the deception.

But… That’s not entirely true, is it. Like many abuse survivors, even as the fog progressively lifts from her eyes, she’s still held back by a few persistent convictions:

Before he even gets a chance to speak, Felix is introduced as a monster, and well. It doesn’t help that he’s been sent to kill her, does it. Yet, as soon as he opens his mouth, he warns her against her own prejudice:

In canon, too, Felix is constantly navigating others’ perception of him and proving them wrong. He’s a Sentibeing lost in a world that wants him dead, but also just a regular child; he has a PhD in identity theft; he’s a manipulative little bitch, but is constantly searching for the truth; he masqueraded as a hero, only to become one on his own terms.

But in the context of this fic — Kagami hasn’t seen season 5! She doesn’t know the themes! And so, her natural instinct is to believe he is trying to tear her newfound rebellious spirit to the ground before ultimately getting rid of her, 1984 style:

If Felix was genuinely trying to torture her, it would be easy for him to land a blow on an already exhausted target, to accompany his little rant with actual physical pain. Instead, he is careful to stay out of range of her blade, but never strikes back (Get it? Strikeback?), except to disarm her when she pierces through his fan.

What he’s actually doing here is trying to uncover who she is as a person, and pushing back against the wonky convictions she still has left.

Which of course culminates with the realisation that she is, in fact, just like him, and the decision to commit treason for her:

Because of course he would. As much as I leaned into Felix’s moral ambiguity earlier in the fic, this is the only option that makes sense for his character: he’s willing to put everything and everyone at risk to rescue his kind.

The broken fan is, of course, an allusion to Pretension, and how easily Felix rearranged his entire moral compass to stand by her side. In every universe, Kagami is his priority: he’s always going to choose her, whether it means abandoning the fight of his life or starting what is absolutely going to turn into a civil war.

Kagami has never been shown mercy in her life before, much less this level of insane devotion. From the moment he chooses to spare her, her worldview shifts entirely, and this is of course most visible in the way she refers to him: abandoning his title to call him by his name, and even catching a hint of Argos magenta in his eyes.

They see each other now. Everything is going to be OK.

General: A lazy, nerdy snail demon with a sweet tooth. Despite their relaxed and aloof nature, they are surprisingly knowledgeable about technology and mathematics. They are deaf and blind, so they use their sense of smell, taste, and touch to navigate. To communicate, they use sign language. They are a superb genius and a very powerful demon, but 95 percent of the time they are a lazy asshole that does brilliant things when they want to. In their spare time, they love to play Babeldome (Inner Demons' equivalent to Fortnite) and watch cheesy horror movies with Obz and Brendon.

A Few More Facts: -They hate salty foods. Salty foods make them dehydrated. -They've been banned from a ton of shopping malls and shopping centers for loitering and mass consumption of product, so the demon fam either keeps them in the band bus or, if the location didn't ban Dora, put them on a leash. -Their laptop and phone were modified specifically for their disability. They even have an app that translates speech to morse code buzzes. -Favorite food: Cotton Candy Balls -They also have a barb that, when shot, can make an enemy docile and submissive.

A lot, actually! Out of my irl friends, I think only two are cis/straight. And there’s still time for them to realize otherwise… /j

🌈 - What's a Queer Identity, Experience or a piece of History you feel deserves more recognition?

There are so many to choose from! One that’s important to me is the intersecting identity between being queer and being fat. My body (and my experience navigating the world in it) is so intrinsically linked to my identity as a queer person, especially with regard to gender presentation. So many queer beauty standards revolve around the thin, androgynous body type that sometimes it’s difficult for people (and I’m not just talking cishet people) to truly see me as queer because I can’t always present myself in the same way a thin queer person can. It doesn’t help that stores like Target scream “Inclusivity!” from the rooftops during Pride Month with their Pride collections but don’t even stock all sizes in their stores. It’s such an interesting and unique experience to be part of a community where aesthetics are so important to identity and another community that is often systemically excluded from being able to participate in said aesthetics. So if anyone reading this can relate, know that you’re not alone. I see you, you’re allowed to take up the space you deserve, and I hope you have a wonderful Pride Month 💕
