“With the tree of life behind them and the garden representing fertility, life and moving forward, they didn’t need any direction,” said photographer Misan Harriman of shooting that moment.” Didn’t he later admit he added the tree of life to that picture after the fact? Could explain why they needed no direction if they’re just lying in an empty field.
Well, it’s a bit complicated.
First, Misan went on BBC Radio’s Private Passions podcast in March 2022. He was asked about the photo session and spoke about the willow tree.
Here’s the podcast episode, unfortunately only available to listen in the UK at this point. (While the podcast is available on Spotify, this episode - among many others - are missing so I suspect BBC Radio is being selective what they post.)
(Posting this without having listened to it. I couldn’t find a transcript to follow along with.)
Tom Bower gave the episode a listen and used it as a reference for Revenge:
Tumblr media
Back in 2021 after the photo was originally published, Misan gave an interview to Good Morning Today, an American breakfast show on NBC (fyi, then-bestie Gayle King is with CBS). You can read about Misan’s interview and his comments here:
Then Getty killed the Waleses’ Mother’s Day photo for editing and people began complaining about the Sussexes’ photos being edited, citing Misan’s comments on BBC Radio, to which Misan responded:
Tumblr media
Misan was furious enough that eventually he released the original photograph he took and some metadata to prove that all he did was apply a black and white filter, which is in line with Getty’s requirements.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Personally, releasing the metadata doesn’t give any proof that he manipulated image. All he did was show us the real photo and its metadata, but what he needs to do is show the metadata of the black and white photo. That’s where the proof is.
And note that there’s no timestamp or date on the metadata screenshot. So how do we know he’s showing us the metadata for the correct image?
But don’t forget that there were two images created for the pregnancy announcement. Yes, there’s the one where they’re sitting/lying down, but there’s also this one:
Tumblr media
For which there’s no metadata and that even Misan himself seems to have forgotten that he took. It supposedly was taken in the same iPad photo shoot, but not included in the pregnancy announcement. Instead, it was distributed right after the Oprah interview on March 8, 2021.
It’s murky, but someone is lying because why would Misan talk about editing in a willow tree if - as per his defense two years later - he didn’t answer the question BBC was baiting him with?
So anyway, I’ll just end with this.
First, what Misan and the Sussexes are claiming is a jacaranda tree doesn’t look like any jacaranda tree I’ve seen. I’ve never seen one sprout horizontal branches/limbs that close to the ground (they’re usually up a few feet).
And second, from a columnist of the LA Times:
Tumblr media
Seems pretty fitting that the Sussexes used a jacaranda tree after all, doesn’t it?

David Soul (born David Richard Solberg; August 28, 1943 – January 4, 2024) Actor and singer known for his role as Detective Kenneth "Hutch" Hutchinson in the television series Starsky & Hutch from 1975 to 1979; Joshua Bolt on Here Come the Brides from 1968 to 1970. As a singer, he scored one US hit and five UK hits with songs such as "Don't Give Up on Us" (No. 1 in US, Canada, and UK) in 1976 and "Silver Lady" (No. 1 in UK) in 1977. He also starred in the 1979 hit TV movie adaptation Salem's Lot by Stephen King.
Soul first gained national attention as the "Covered Man" appearing on The Merv Griffin Show in 1966 and 1967, on which he sang while wearing a mask. He explained: "My name is David Soul, and I want to be known for my music." The same year, he made his television debut in Flipper.
In 1967, he signed a contract with Columbia Pictures and following a number of guest appearances, including the episode "The Apple" from the second season of Star Trek, he landed the role of Joshua Bolt on the television program Here Come the Brides with co-stars Robert Brown, Bobby Sherman and Bridget Hanley. Soul also starred with James Mason in the 1979 TV miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot, which was edited and released as a theatrical feature film in some countries.
He continued to make guest appearances in various television series. He starred in the miniseries The Manions of America as Caleb Staunton in 1981. I’m in the UK. 24 hours later, how is the US media covering the revelations in Spare ?
Well, there's this, for one.
Tumblr media
Most of the US shows have reported on The Guardian "leak," which I think says a lot about that leak. Someone was sending out press releases from her Hotmail account. The leak, of course, focused on the fight.
The one that has been going around was CNN's Don Lemon calling the memoir "gauche." Meghan's bots were criticizing the segment on Twitter so I guess that made a mark.
youtube
CBS covered it pretty neutrally. They called it "disappointing" and promote the Anderson Cooper interview. It's basically promo for them because they own 60 minutes.
youtube
CBS Morning was also 60 minutes promo with anchors questioning the motivation. I guess the interview will address that. Roya Nikkah talks about his long-standing resentments and the likelihood of a reconciliation summit. She expects a "recollections may vary" type of reaction.
youtube
Good Morning America also based their coverage on the Guardian leak (surprise!). This one is basically promo for the Stranahan interview. It has the "archnemesis" segment of the interview.
youtube
NBC actually got their hands on a Spanish copy, which is interesting. They don't mention the Guardian leak, which leads me to believe that they weren't part of the Sussex PR drive. They mention the Nazi uniform, losing his virginity, and drug use, which the other outlets did not.
youtube
NBC Today did mention the Guardian leak. NBC didn't have the book in time for the morning show yesterday. The correspondent says this is a nightmare for King Charles.
youtube
Edited: Another Today segment just dropped.
youtube
Fox News was very negative. They covered most of the content, not just the fight. They note that ITV, where Harry is doing his interview, is part of the royal rota that he supposedly hates.
youtube
Megyn Kelly covered it for her Sirius XM show. She had Tom Bowers on and was very negative.
youtube
I think the most noticeable aspect of the US coverage is how much it follows what we presume was the Sussex pr strategy--focusing on the Guardian leak and the upcoming interviews. It really illustrates how easy it is to guide the US coverage. All you have to do is give some exclusives.
The more cringe details that were published in the UK and overseas, were featured in smaller outlets like The Cut and Slate. The Cut is the only outlet, so far, to mention the "baby brain" comment.
Slate focused on the comments about Will.
Reuters, a news service, also did a list of revelations. Interesting that not many outlets have picked up on this and used the info.
Associated Press, the other big news service, focused on the fight.
Edit: I should have mentioned that Page Six, from the NYPost has been relentlessly publishing every single little snippet. There's just too many to count. They've covered EVERYTHING.
And People Magazine has also covered most of the drama, including the "baby brain" comment. They've skipped most of the genitalia stories because they're classy like that.

Annoucement coming from BP really boost me up on divorce… 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I know their spokeperson did release statement too but again! BO annouce first..
I expect Harry's wife to announce first on an American morning news show on either NBC, ABC, or CBS. She hates NBC/Universal due to Suits, so they're probably not going to get it. That leaves ABC or CBS. I don't think she'd go with a FOX outlet either. My best guess is Gayle King on CBS Mornings. Of course, I could be wrong, but we'll see.
I still think the Thursday morning in the US before the coronation is the best option. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the days for PR announcements & news where you want people to pay attention. She'll want people to pay attention to her and her interview.
The UK is five hours ahead of the US east coast, and eight hours ahead of the US west coast (California). This means for Harry's wife to make the announcement and have it be a big F-U to the BRF, the latest she can do it would be Thursday morning in the US. The UK papers & tabloids finalize their editions around dinner time on the east coast of the US. She would have to announce it on a Tuesday morning to attempt to get the cover of People magazine, and even if she did, I doubt they would give it to her anyway. She does not sell.
This is why she cannot announce on a Saturday during the coronation. Everyone in the US will still be sleeping. Yeah, she can make an announcement on instagram or twitter at 6 am on a Saturday in the US, but NO ONE will care because everyone will be sleeping and preparing to enjoy their weekends.
If she wants the US media to pay attention to her, which she will because that's always been her goal, she has to do it on US time, which means it'll happen on a weekday.
First week of May will be interesting...

𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐑(𝐒): Too many, so I'll say 3, the colours of the bi flag, unironically, yes, with a U, I speak fluent Canadian/British Isles and also American spellings. Anything a shade of purple, pink, or blue.
𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑(𝐒): I have a sweet tooth, beyond that, it changes on a regular basis.
𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐌.𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐂: I listen to just about most things if I connect with them, to be distinct I shall say G.oth s.ubculture music (p.ost-p.unk, dark/new wave, g.othic r.ock, etc) and musicals. I have seen J.anelle M.onáe, T.he C.ure, E.cho & T.he B.unny M.en, and D.epeche M.ode amongst others, a lot of musicals.
𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐌.𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐄(𝐒): I.WTV (1994) <- self-explanatory, M.arie A.ntoinette (2006) <- I just dig the aesthetics and tearing apart patriarchy artistically, idgaf it is inaccurate, it is easily one of the best costume dramas ever, and K.irsten nails every second on screen, C.hevalier (2022), and D.angerous L.iaisons (1988). Definitely a bunch of B.ollywood I am forgetting but... *shrugs*.

re: Anon's claim of disrespectful US media - NOT TRUE
I'm American and that's simply not true about the entire US media being disrespectful towards the Queen. I watched CNN for coverage and other main network news (ABC, NPR, NBC, etc.) and they have all been very respectful and held The Queen in high regard. In fact, I watched CNN for most coverage. Don Lemon and his panel were very respectful towards the Royal Family. They did touch on colonialism, HOWEVER, it was done in a way that recognized the atrocities but also separated the individual (The Queen & current descendants) from the institution. The point being that The Queen herself wasn't responsible for the sins of her ancestors & her commitment to service is admirable. The CNN panel (half were POC) also felt hopeful that this current generation (King Charles & William) seem to be more open to having conversations about colonialism and how to move forward. They had nothing but good things to say about both Charles & William. For example, they mentioned that Charles was invited to guest edit British African-Caribbean newspaper The Voice, last month. They also admired William's speech during the controversial Carribean tour. He expressed “profound sorrow” for slavery and also said that to Carribean leaders "We support your decisions about your future."
Of course, there will be US personalities who are polarizing & disrespectful but I assure you, they are very few. Sometimes social media amplifies controversy & it's not always a reflection of reality.
Btw, I'm a liberal and live in a very liberal state. Reception to the Queen's death has been sadness & most reasonable people have been very respectful. Anon who submitted that ask, I hope you read this❤

Thank you so much! I really appreciate this.

Zombies of the Stratosphere (1952) was the third of Republic Pictures “Rocket Man” serials, preceded by King of the Rocket Men (1949), Radar Men From the Moon (1952), and followed by Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe (1953).  Even though all four serials featured a hero who wore a helmet and rocket pack, he was only called Rocket Man in King of the Rocket Men.
The last three serials did, however, make liberal use of footage from King of the Rocket Men, especially the flying scenes.  That explains why the hero’s costume in all four serials was essentially the same.
Commando Cody (played by George Wallace) was introduced in Radar Men From the Moon, and Zombies of the Stratosphere was supposed to feature him again.  For some unknown reason, the hero was changed to “Larry Martin.”  Larry (played by Judd Holdren) had the same assistants as Cody did (although the characters were renamed), as well as the same sets and props.
Larry Martin was gone, but Judd Holdren as  Commando Cody was back again the next year in Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe.  This fourth serial was originally intended as a 12-episode television series, but played in theatres first before being broadcast on NBC in 1955.
Zombies of the Stratosphere remarkably features no zombies at all.  Instead it has villainous Martians, gangsters, a robot, a wild plot to use hydrogen bombs to force Earth and Mars to switch their positions in the Solar System, and one of the first appearances of a young actor named Leonard Nimoy.
A heavily truncated feature-length version of the serial (167 minutes edited down to 70) was released as Satan’s Satellites, which saw a lot of airplay on television.

i wanna know 🎶 and 🛠 from the fic asks!!!
🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?
It depends what I’m writing! Lol if I’m writing smut I like the xx (especially angels, I get a lot of mileage out of that one) or NIN (the obvious songs)
If it’s 80s Armand/Daniel I hit The Velvet Underground (Heroin & I’ll Be Your Mirror especially, for different feels), Depeche Mode (you get this one), and Bowie’s Diamond Dogs album (it just ~vibes~ idk)
For modern AU stuff I’m a basic bitch and stick to Cigarettes After Sex, Kings of Leon, and Hozier. I need to be able to imagine I’m watching it play out on NBC or HBO (alternately)
🛠What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?
I start off in the notes app on my phone and write 50-70% as it occurs to me, usually when I can’t sleep at 2 AM or in the middle of the grocery store. Really sloppy, really bad. Then I switch to Word to finish off and edit ✨

The Masked Singer: S11 E4 (TV Theme Night/First Wildcard Enters)
Tonight’s episode sees Group C taking the stage again and they’ll be joined by the first Wildcard contestant of the season. As always, I post before seeing any unmaskings, so don’t take these as spoilers.
I am watching on a delay, and I’ve done everything I can to avoid spoilers.
Clock 🕰️: My initial guess last week was Bette Midler. We see a map with the Mississippi River highlighted. Also a motor, and a picture of her two children. She’s been married more than once. Whoever she is, she sounds pretty good for being an older lady. The bonus clue: A love boat, two things that combine to make a hit. I think Robin’s guess of Stephanie Mills is a good guess. And some of the commenters online have suggested this is Anita Baker. What I do know, though, is that I think I can cross off Bette Midler as a guess.
Poodle Moth 🐩 🦋: My initial guess last week was Trisha Yearwood. A lighthouse. She either lost her dad or her dad left the family. I see drama masks 🎭 and a jar of fireflies. I think Pepper 🌶️ (Natasha Bedingfield) would be happy with this performance. The bonus clue: “Where You Lead” (the theme song from Gilmore Girls), which was performed by Carole King. Perhaps she’s appeared on Gilmore Girls? That would seemingly rule out Trisha Yearwood, although Trisha has done a handful of acting roles, including a recurring role on JAG. I’m sticking with Trisha Yearwood for now.
Lizard 🦎: My initial guess was Johnny Gill from New Edition. Apparently got an opportunity to become an animator, but decided to become a singer instead. Clues: cowboy boots, a lizard doll. The bonus clue: A Great Dane (Scooby-Doo’s breed). He says, “A dog helped me reach a bigger audience.” I’ve seen some people suggest that this is Sisqó, who was in a movie called Snow Dogs in addition to his music career, and the cowboy boots are a reference to that celebrity country singing show Gone Country. I’m switching my guess to Sisqó.
Sir Lion 🦁: Our first Wildcard. Not to be confused with Lion from season 1 (who was Rumer Willis). Clues: An anchor, cutouts of Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks. A hot air balloon with Jerry Seinfeld’s face on it. And a picture of Rockefeller Center, which is NBC’s New York City Headquarters. I think he’s worked as an anchor for NBC News. I was thinking Brian Williams at first, but I think the voice and the clues line up with Billy Bush. He’s worked for NBC as well as a journalist covering celebrities. The bonus clue: A bone reading “co-star”. He says he co-starred on “a different TV show with Betty Rubble”. Rosie O’Donnell played Betty Rubble, and I think Billy Bush may have appeared on The View while Rosie was a host. I’m going with Billy Bush.

Character Actor
John Arthur Doucette (January 21, 1921 – August 16, 1994)  Character actor who performed in more than 280 film and television productions between 1941 and 1987. A man of stocky build who possessed a deep, rich voice, he proved equally adept at portraying characters in Shakespearean plays, Westerns, and modern crime dramas. He is perhaps best remembered, however, for his villainous roles as a movie and television "tough guy".
Many baby boomers first saw Doucette as the bad guy on television in several episodes of The Lone Ranger. Performing as an outlaw proved to be a natural role for him, considering his rough looks, commanding presence, and skill with a gun. He was considered by many to be among the fastest draws in Hollywood. His roles, however, went well beyond that stereotype. He appeared on a variety of television shows, including The Time Tunnel, Racket Squad, The Range Rider, Wagon Train, The Roy Rogers Show, The Fugitive, The Adventures of Kit Carson, The Cisco Kid, City Detective, Annie Oakley, The Joseph Cotten Show: On Trial, My Friend Flicka, Sky King, The Californians, Broken Arrow, The People's Choice, Sheriff of Cochise, Bat Masterson, Behind Closed Doors, The Texan, Lawman, The Everglades, Mackenzie's Raiders, Bonanza, The Wild Wild West, The Virginian, Have Gun - Will Travel, Kung Fu, The Rat Patrol, Hogan's Heroes, Adventures of Superman, Sea Hunt, Science Fiction Theatre, Walt Disney Presents, and Tales of Wells Fargo.
Doucette portrayed a police lieutenant, Tom Gregory, on the television version of Big Town. Between 1959 and 1961, he also played Lieutenant Weston on the series Lock-Up, Aaron William Andrews in the comedy The Partners, and bounty hunter Lou Gore in the episode "Dead Aim" on the series Colt .45
Doucette was cast on television as the Apache Chief Geronimo for the 1958 episode "Geronimo" on the Western series Tombstone Territory. He was also cast in 1961 as Captain Cardiff in The Americans, a 17-episode NBC series, starring Darryl Hickman, about how the American Civil War divided families. In 1963 he played “Michael McGoo”, a proud & lovable storytelling Irish sailor in the S6E26 edition of Wagon Train.  (Wikipedia)

ART 2 of The NeNe Leakes x Carlos King EXCLUSIVE Interview
youtube
Before Leakes met the producers of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she had appeared on TV shows like The Parkers thanks to meeting casting director Robi Reed-Humes. In 2003, she landed a minor role as a stripper in the film The Fighting Temptations, starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Beyoncé. However, none of her scenes are present in the final edit of the movie.
In 2008, Leakes made her first appearance on The Real Housewives of Atlanta as an original cast member. After the first season, she co-wrote the book Never Make The Same Mistake Twice with Denene Millner. Leakes was a main cast member for the first seven seasons. In June 2015, Leakes announced that she would not be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its eighth season. However, Leakes was featured in season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in a supporting role, reportedly earning her full salary from the previous seven seasons. Leakes later returned to the show as a full-time housewife for the tenth through twelfth seasons (2017-20).
In 2020, Leakes announced that she would not return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its thirteenth season.
Leakes has also transitioned into scripted television, playing the secretary Rocky Roades in the NBC comedy The New Normal. Ryan Murphy cast Leakes on his series Glee in the third season in a recurring role as synchronized swim coach and Olympic bronze-medalist Coach Roz Washington. In 2011, Leakes was a contestant on the eleventh installment of Donald Trump's NBC series Celebrity Apprentice. During the tenth episode of Celebrity Apprentice, after arguments with fellow cast member Star Jones, Leakes walked off the show.
Leakes has guest-hosted Anderson Live, The Talk, appeared in Betty White's Off Their Rockers and The Price Is Right. On March 4, 2014, she was announced as one of the celebrities who would compete in the 18th season of Dancing with the Stars. She was paired with professional dancer, Tony Dovolani. Leakes and Dovolani were eliminated in Week 7 of competition (Latin Night) on April 28, 2014, finishing in 7th place.
Leakes played the Mistress of Sensuality in Las Vegas for resident show Cirque du Soleil: Zumanity. She made her Broadway debut on November 25, 2014, as Madame in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. She played the role until the production closed on January 3, 2015. In November 2015, she was cast as playing Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago on Broadway for four weeks.
Leakes released a song, entitled "Come and Get This Hunni" in April 2020.
