I refuse to watch this new season since Sharpe is gone but I had to read this article. And it’s confirming that I made the right choice to not watch. Why try to squeeze in another romance? They pushed Max and Sharpe as endgame far too much and long for it to flop. This season should have finally been about personal growth and being a better father to his daughter.

It just pisses me off even more they had his daughter call Sharpe mom for it to end like this.

Did anyone else get genuinely upset at everyone else for being borderline rude to Max when he was giving them their gifts? If it was because of what happened in the last episode I could MAYBE understand (discussion for another day) but Floyd said it was because they didn't want him to leave???

So someone leaving because they feel it will benefit their health/life/happiness is a valid reason to be an asshole?

The doctors in particular had all left or thought about leaving at one point or other for their own health and wellbeing. Can they really not see the irony here? Granted they did all either come back or decide not to leave, but my point still stands.

so I decided to start rewatching new amsterdam like a week or week and a half ago and I'm almost done with S3 now lol I actually got behind during S3 so I missed most of S3 and all of s4-5 and I really love this show even though I hear S5 isn't great but I'm watching anyway lol I shipped max/helen so hard I wish they were endgame we waited 3 seasons to get them together then we only get them for a season as a couple I will miss her so much when I get to S5 that's probably why s5 isn't great tbh! i also ship lauren/leyla and idk what happens there lol but I love the show and it wasn't lack of love that made me stop it was getting too behind lol it's such a great medical drama!!

I still haven’t started the final season of New Amsterdam. I get mad all over again that Max allowed his child to call Helen “mom” not even a year after his wife died. Then Helen barely lasted more than a year herself in the relationship.

I just don’t see how they can redeem all the BS of last season for me to want to watch. If I see people say it’s worth a watch I will start it.
