16/100 Days of Productivity

3rd of November.

I spent the morning getting ready for my award ceremony today. I ended up running late and asked my mum to drop me off which I’m so thankful for. Sadly, the Duke of York wasn’t able to make it, but the Vice Lord Lieutenant stood in as a Queens representative and handed out the iDEA awards. I can’t wait to see the pictures taken off today!

We finished at one, so I decided to treat myself for the award and to get over some of the horrible things that had happened the night before. I love sushi and Nudo Sushi box is so inventive I decided to splurge and bought breakfast, lunch and something for tomorrow. Salmon avocado sushi sandwich is a beautiful breakfast on the bus!

I watched Thelma and Louise for my American Spaces lecture next Monday and created a saving page on OneNote - my goal is to keep my current bank balance either the same or more. (I tried spicy tuna futomaki for the first time – I really don’t like it, but I bought it so I ate it.)

I wanted to start putting out some more of my own content on my blog so I sat down and wrote out ideas in my notebook. I had already started one idea so I decided that I’d start it properly and I managed to do most of the project today? Very happy!

15/100 Days of Productivity

2nd of November.

Today was busy. I met @sufferyetstandfirm for breakfast at costa and we caught up on each other’s lives and uni. Then I went to town, ran some errands and bought some necessities from Superdrug. Then I met up with another best friend for a study date and I finished up my prose piece. We had lunch with another friend and tried out a new place which was really nice.

I got a bus to another uni building and rewrote lecture notes of ‘The Wasteland’ before attending an open evening about PGCEs. I got dinner free! There were pizzas and mini-donuts and the staff and students were super helpful. I now have to decide between primary or secondary PGCEs.

3/100 Days of Productivity I've finally filled in and sent off this application for another ambassador role at my university! I'd been putting it off for a while but I got it over and done with today. I really hope I get this role!

11/100 Days of Productivity 

Today was not as productive as I wanted it to be but some of my family came and I spent some time with them. I visited Manchester art gallery and I watched an amazing piece by Hetain Patel called ‘Don’t Look at the Finger’. I reworked one of my prose pieces that I will be using for one of my assessments and I feel like it's in its final stages. I started the 2/3 of that assessment today as well and I feel really happy with the early progress I’m making. 

I wanted to complete more today but not everything goes to plan. Sometimes you just have to accept that and re-plan your days.

10/100 Days of Productivity!

I completed 10/20 from this task list from @theorganisedstudent today and I’m chuffed. (This printable is so cute! I love it.) Some of this list couldn't be done today because of external variables I can’t control. Some of this list wasn't done because I have decided to go to bed earlier today and they aren't high levels of urgency. But the things I did complete - I did well and enjoyed.

I watched two films, cooked my family dinner, dealt with a huge pumpkin I bought and prepped for tomorrows Prose seminar. All in all a good day.

5/100 Day of Productivity

I had a study date with one of my best friends @sufferyetstandfirm, who I haven't seen in an age! She studies medicine and her timetable rarely matches with mine. We got pancakes and I got a Butterfly pea Mango drink with strawberry popping pearls.💖

I decided to rewrite all my rough notes for my prose unit that I had been putting off and got through nearly all of them. I also created an assessment tab and started looking at the marking criteria for this unit in more detail. December is looming ever closer, as are deadlines!

8/100 Days of Productivity

Today I completed the entire Bronze award for the Duke of York iDEA Award. My university is the first in the world to take the approach of rolling this out across Faculties and many levels of students. 

The Duke of York Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA) is a programme helping people of all ages develop skills for free. It is the digital and enterprise equivalent of The Duke of Edinburgh Award and is completely free and accessible on any device. 

I’m really proud and I learnt so much! I also read T. S. Eliot's ‘The Wasteland’ and made some notes for my class tomorrow.

9/100 Days of Productivity

I did two loads of laundry today! Maybe the most tangible productivity I’ve done today, but there is also intangible productivity! I learnt more about T. S. Eliot’s ‘The Wasteland’ and have a few ideas about a section of my assessment for my Remake/Remodel unit.

I spent some time with my siblings and watched The Witches with them. I set up my queue here for a couple of days so I’ll only be posting myself in the evening for this project.

12/100 Days of Productivity

After watching Thor Ragnarok yesterday with my family, (it was AMAZING and hilarious), I decided I had to buckle down today and get started on some work. I baked gluten-free pumpkin loaves for my mum because she has coeliacs. I visited my nana and family and began Chester Himes ‘If He Hollers Let Him Go’. I’m hoping to finish the novel tonight after posting this.

14/100 Days of Productivity

1st of November.

My mum wanted me to go with her to the market in the morning to help her pick out beads and cloth for clothes she is making. I now see a new dress for me coming soon! We went food shopping and I even persuaded my mum to get a Halloween smash cake which was really cool.

But most importantly… I wrote up the majority of my 2nd prose piece! This will hopefully be used for my assignment in December, which means after editing I only have to write a reflective account and this units assignment is complete!

2/100 Days of Productivity

My library has a floor with cubicles and plug sockets and it's the best thing ever? 

I have a lot of small things to get through today:

- reading a couple of chapters from Angel Meadow

- updating my calendar diary

- starting basic planning of essays due at the end of term 1

- adding a couple more pages to my summer journal (it has now become just my journal)

- updating and checking off jobs I’ve completed

Little things seem unimportant but completing them really help me stay focused and aware of my goals.

6/100 Days of Productivity

Sometimes I have to remind myself that productivity takes shape in more than just studying, but those acts help your mind and body. Thus helping later on when studying. I woke up early today and cleaned the entire kitchen and then hoovered upstairs (I live at home so my family splits cleaning between us).

Then came the reward! I was able to meet up with my friends and have dinner and catch up. Uni can make it difficult to keep up with old friends but if you can make the time it’s amazing. I even had dessert but unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. Once I was home I spent some time with my family and then watched the film ‘Easy Rider’ for my American Spaces lecture on Monday.

13/100 Days of Productivity

31st of October.

Today was amazing! I went to town with my mum and I bought some Fenty makeup (I’m still dying over A. how much I spent, and B. how good the makeup is). I bought a new dress and then I got us lunch.

We were pretty efficient, so I went to the library and created a sheet that showed what I needed to do for this week. The most important thing is my university assignments which are coming up in December. I worked on rough essay mindmaps and creating a 2nd prose piece.

Finally, I went to work and helped high school kids with their homework and understanding topics from school they struggled with.

1/100 Days of Productivity!

For my first proper post, I thought I’d show how I plan for busy days in order to be most productive. Trying a new style so it's in pencil and I love writing in pencil so I don't actually know whether I'll do it in pen... 

But I really liked this style of splitting up my lists into sections of jobs to be done while I'm at uni in the first half of the day and jobs to be done at home later on. My reminders are small things and my Joy & Gratitude section to reflect on things that made me smile or that I feel lucky or thankful for.

4/100 Days of Productivity I dropped off paperwork to my boss and attended a careers drop in my university has for humanities and art students. I got some great advice and gained a new understanding of what my goals should be. Instead of just a PGCE, I think I'll be going for both a CELTA and a PGCE. A new goal now is to do some more research into the specific field I want to go into. Look for advice online and then work out the amount of money I need to save. 😭 I started reworking one of my stories for my prose unit today as well.
