commentary: i started posting on this url in the middle of high school. i basically posted for like 6 months straight and giffed mostly for yuri on ice the anime. then i left tumblr after the whole algorithm randomly flagging gifsets as p*rn and blocking ppl from seeing them thing, and now i am returning once again. it’s kinda hard to track progress when u have that big of a gap in creationing but i do think i’ve improved tremendously and i’m still doing my best to learn new things!

I keep thinking about @nefeviibata​‘s “Dean calls Castiel ‘baby’ instead of ‘buddy’ posts and obviously they’re amazing, but an additional thing about these that I really enjoy is that this is probably what Eileen would think Dean is really saying. Because based on Dean and Cas’s, you know, everything around each other? Dean calling Cas baby is going to be the version of things that makes the most sense when she’s lip reading. And lip reading is imprecise and relies heavily on context and body language and stuff. And those posts are pretty good examples of how those two things combine for Dean and Cas in a way where Dean calling Cas ‘baby’ just makes the most sense.

I am by no means an expert on the topic so if you’d like more information about lip reading, here’s a video by the lovely Jessica Kellgren-Fozard to get you started.
