I have finally figured out that my camera won't focus on the ember tetras, but it WILL focus on the neons, so I just have to wait until they're close together lol.
Also, I have employed a small army of snails to help with my rampant algae, and they are doing a fantastic job so far.
Four lovely bladder snails and one ramshorn. I uh... Got them for free.... It remains to be seen if I've made a grave mistake or not, but since I had a couple of small bladder snails sneak in, I decided to ask the pet store of I could have a few of their unwanted pest snails, hoping to just pluck a trumpet snail or two and maybe another bladder snail. As long as I bought any aquarium plant, they were happy to give me some. Very happy.
I ended up with a mixed bag snail invasion starter kit, and the extra snails now have their own little house.
I'm going to add a spider plant for filtering for now. I have so many ramshorns.....
