Me: "So let me get this straight. This ruling by the Appelate Court has to do with limiting the powers of a tyrannical government? Meanwhile consumers are being fleeced by data speed gougers in a tiered pay to play caste system that you feel shouldn't be regulated.
Judges (amongst themselves) Something must be done to curtail fascist Biden's regulation of our rich and powerful buddies who pad our robes.
Women and people in the LGBTQ Communities: And here all we want is autocracy for our own bodies and lives.
Judges: Withches!

An open letter to the FCC
Hey, @FCC, You do realize that ending Net neutrality literally destroys tens of thousands of entrepreneurial businesses,  kills markets, and make it harder for folks to pay/ freely advertise for products, right?
Youtuber sketches and reviews? All online art? Finding music and bands organically. People buying and shipping stuff on Amazon. By making it faster for rich folks you literally shut down all the avenues that people came up themselves.
It affects international and domestic trade, cause it will be harder for us to by and sell products (some of which might be life saving) and stuff from other States, Counties, Countries, and Continents.
If you throw all that away so big cable companies can make a few bucks, your limiting resources so more people can pay for your goofy bundle packages in the first place. That doesn't cause economic growth, it totals it. It doesn't create Jobs, it kills them.
So can you give up this charade? Put two greedy hearts aside for a minute and actually listen to the people? The ones who told you no before? That would be great, thanks. #NetNuetrality

Writing to my state representatives about my concerns over the loss of net neutrality. The fights not over till it’s over. To contact your rep, use a quick Google search. Does not take much. Call them, right to them, do anything but nothing. We lost the FCC vote, but we haven’t lost it all yet. #netnuetrality #thefightsnotoveryet

@theyoungturks So. I just watched a stream of the FCC'S vote to kill Net Nuetrality. They did. I guess willful ignorance is both blissful and profitable huh, Ajit Pai? As a sixteen year old with only around 350 followers on Instagram, I might not have the ability to reach thousands of people but that doesn't mean I'm not going to shout as loud as I can. I'll be damned if I don't at least try. This is a political cartoon depicting Ajit Pai the head of the FCC, who was employed by Verizon in the past. Just to clarify those are dollar bills sticking out of his ears. This was kind of rushed so I didn't go into too much detail. #art #artist #ink #inkdrawing #drawing #draw #artwork #artproject #politics #politicalcartoon #ajitpai #cartoon #satire #fcc #netnuetrality

Imagine the issue of the YouTube algorithm. Funny enough,  Google right hand video man is a perfect, slightly Ironic case study. See, YouTube was scared that, because Netflix has longer programs, they would have to struggle to compete. One Netflix show could be worth hundreds of shorter videos. Think about “Stranger Things.” That thing is a gold mine and millions of people tuned into Benge the…

Trump Instantly Sues California Over Net Neutrality
Sunday, the Department of Justice worked swiftly to announce a legal proceeding against the state of California for their new law imposing net neutrality protections. According to the AP: "The lawsuit filed Sunday by the U.S. Department of Justice came roughly an hour after Gov. Jerry Brown signed the law. The Federal Communications Commission last year repealed rules preventing internet companies from exercising more control over what people watch and see on the internet. California’s law seeks to reinstate those rules. The lawsuit argues that California’s approach is “unlawful and anti-consumer” because it imposes burdensome regulations on the Internet and goes against the federal government’s approach. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he will defend the federal government’s position." Justice Department Files Net Neutrality Lawsuit Against the State of California
The Justice Department today filed a lawsuit against the state of California alleging that Senate Bill 822, an Internet regulation bill signed into law earlier today by Governor Jerry Brown, unlawfully imposes burdens on the Federal Government’s deregulatory approach to the Internet, announced Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Acting Associate Attorney General Jesse Panuccio, Assistant Attorney General Joseph H. Hunt for the Justice Department’s Civil Division, and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai. In 1996, a bipartisan Congress decided that the Internet should remain “unfettered by Federal or State regulation.”  Since 2002, the FCC has accordingly classified broadband Internet access as an “information service” that is exempt from public-utility regulations. The FCC briefly departed from this classification in a 2015 Order, which imposed restrictions on the freedom of the Internet. In 2018, the FCC returned to its prior light-touch framework, ensuring that Internet access services are free and guided by a uniform set of federal rules, rather than by a patchwork of state and local regulations. The United States concluded that California, through Senate Bill 822, is attempting to subvert the Federal Government’s deregulatory approach by imposing burdensome state regulations on the free Internet, which is unlawful and anti-consumer. In filing the complaint, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued the following statement: “Under the Constitution, states do not regulate interstate commerce—the federal government does. Once again the California legislature has enacted an extreme and illegal state law attempting to frustrate federal policy. The Justice Department should not have to spend valuable time and resources to file this suit today, but we have a duty to defend the prerogatives of the federal government and protect our Constitutional order.  We will do so with vigor. We are confident that we will prevail in this case—because the facts are on our side.” FCC Chairman Ajit Pai issued the following statement: “I’m pleased the Department of Justice has filed this suit.  The Internet is inherently an interstate information service.  As such, only the federal government can set policy in this area.  And the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit recently reaffirmed that state regulation of information services is preempted by federal law. “Not only is California’s Internet regulation law illegal, it also hurts consumers.  The law prohibits many free-data plans, which allow consumers to stream video, music, and the like exempt from any data limits.  They have proven enormously popular in the marketplace, especially among lower-income Americans.  But notwithstanding the consumer benefits, this state law bans them. “The Internet is free and open today, and it will continue to be under the light-touch protections of the FCC’s Restoring Internet Freedom Order.  I look forward to working with my colleagues and the Department of Justice to ensure the Internet remains ‘unfettered by Federal or State regulation,’ as federal law requires, and the domain of engineers, entrepreneurs, and technologists, not lawyers and bureaucrats.” Read the full article

You know what I need?
A Revolution. Let's get fucking mad. I don't mean what we've been doing, I mean we overthrow the government. If they don't pay attention to our protests, our petitions, our screams of anger, then it's time to fucking get rid of them. Look at the American Constitution; "if any form of government becomes destructive to these ends (life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness), it is right of the people to alter or abolish it." Is that not the WORLD'S right? If there are people out there, commiting suicide because treatment for their mental health was too expensive, then we rework the medical system! If there are people out there, starving because they can't get food, then we HELP them. I know there are people, here in America, and in Canada, who need net neutrality, who need the internet as their forum to speak out where their families, their government, people who hate them, cannot, SHOULD NOT be allowed to oppress them! People all over the world who NEVER had net neutrality to maintain their freedom of speech! If the vast majority of the people ask for something, demand it, then thise who represent them should also! We have too long let them get away with corruption, oppression, making deals only for the benefit of one and not the whole; because we should never allow it to begin with! I'm fucking mad, I know you all are. It's about time we acted on it.
