I see all these Clip and Himbo Moon lovers (admittedly am one of em-) but what about Sun lovers? Doesn’t anyone else wanna kiss the sweet yellow hairdresser twink??
don't worry! he's covered (in kisses) 😌
Moon: where's our morning sunnydrop*?
Clip: Starting the morning with a sunnydrop keeps this Clip tippity-top!
Sun: go clean up first! and get dressed! we're going to be late!
Clip: i am already dressed!
Sun: because you didn't change last night, go change! only good kids get good morning kisses!
*sometimes they call Sun's good morning kisses "sunnydrops" because they're sweet and energizing like the candy (this flusters Sun to no end)

Tagging this with the fandom critical tag just to be safe but. I appreciate everyone who offered kind words not just to me but to each other yesterday.
We’re a community. It’s good to look up and remember just how many people are quietly doing their own thing alongside me.
I felt a bit guilty for adding notes to what in hindsight was just inflammatory hatred. I wonder if giving them attention didn’t just inspire them to be louder in their unkindness. But after hearing how friends, mutuals, and strangers were upset over the post in question? Worth the BS. OC fic writers get so much shit already. We should stick together, not ridicule and beat each other down.
I emulated their flippant tone as I offered my rebuttal. But genuinely, I do love your Tavs and Durges— because even if I personally don’t enjoy a story someone is telling, I still know how difficult it is to tell it and how brave it is to share it where strangers can see.
I love that you’re creating.
I have a lot of opinions about what makes good writing. More opinions than that person, even. I’m critical of my own work and I’m critical of others’ in turn. But at the end of the day, putting love into the world is more important. And that’s what the connections of social media are meant to foster for fandom. Shared love.
So fuck Enver Gortash ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) And do it how you want. Love from me to you 💞

I don’t want to start drama but I’ve seen some concerning posts floating around about how distasteful and disappointing it is to see certain creators “support” Dorian and I hate to break it to you guys, but if you’ve ever interacted, shared or created anything regarding The Arcana you are supporting Dorian yourselves.
Being in the fandom alone is supporting Dorian by creating engagement, publicizing the game and being part of the audience they’re trying to target.
And even if you were to delete your whole blog and everything you’ve ever posted to enjoy the original game in private you would still be supporting Dorian by bringing traffic to the app they now own.
The one and only way you have to stop supporting Dorian, if you care about it so much, would be to distance yourself from the series entirely and go join another fandom. Never play the original game ever again and never interact with any fan creation regarding it from now on. 👋

this is a cold ass take but not one I’ve seen around in my online circles, but the scooby-doo reboot has me thinking about how like. I feel like a big part of why it feels like fandom doesn’t last as long anymore is that we’re just constantly getting reboots and sequels of the same 3 things over and over.
and you’d think, wouldn’t that make the fandom last longer? and sure…. for those same 3 things. but like. it makes me think that a vast majority of people look at media and go “if it’s not actively putting out content, then it’s dead” when for so long, fandom around stuff would last for DECADES after a series had ended.
like, nobody lets anything sit and breathe anymore. and it’s exhausting.
and I get that the reason WHY we keep getting reboots and sequels is bc execs are scared to put money into anything new when this old title would immediately have a payoff bc it’s familiar to people. but that doesn’t make it any less depressing. in fact, it makes it MORE depressing, but nobody needs me to explain why.
I just wish people would stop beating dead horses. it’s not worth it, because it will so easily become forgettable when you just keep rehashing the same things, same settings, same characters over and over.

do you ever just go back and read comments on your fics on ao3 because you want to remember what it’s like to be good at something and have people like that thing
because i do that a lot.
