BASICALLY it is!#caleb pulls an m32 rotary grenade launcher from his wristwatch #that'll teach you for getting coffee on my fucking documentation again MOTUS #cord is a smoking burnt corpse in the family guy death pose with birds circling his head and spirals for eyes #[he wheezes out a cloud of smoke and then pops back up perfectly fine]#god i love the magic system so much. because you know. if i didn't... i could just change it lol #it's really easy to lose control of your magic if you lose control of your emotions. hence why caleb's eyes turn red in this.#because he angy #i mostly use it for gag moments because it's fun to do #like cord cry-laughing at the caleb impersonator who shows up at the college he works at and his eyes turning purple #like yeah that's not a normal human thing that happens but it's fine don't sweat it #like caleb had always been the kind of person who hated being famous so he rarely ever showed himself in public #so when he goes missing twenty years ago people just assume he's laying low as he does. crestfall never made a big deal of it #so everyone assumes everything's fine and that he's just being himself. it's not and he's not but... you know...#anyway bing and chase eventually break him out of ai slime hell and he reunites with cord after a long time and helps him break the memory #blocker on his chip that jerric put into place to protect him (because if Cord knew what happened to Caleb he would have gotten himself #killed trying to rescue him and ruined Jerric's faking of his death)#but he still refuses to go out into public especially since his random return would mean like. god. SO many invasive questions. ew.#nope. and so he just hangs out at RH after moving all his equipment from his house to the parking garage (then the abandoned subway tunnels #when the garage gets compromised) and hangs around Cord all day by using his magic to communicate via his eye implant #so the reason Cord cries laughing when he sees the fake Caleb is because he's taller than Cord. Caleb is a solid foot shorter than #him (he's 5'2'' Cord is 6'2'') and Cord was seeing digital Caleb standing next to the fake Caleb and the difference was staggering #so he starts laughing meanwhile Caleb is threatening his life which only makes him laugh harder. so yeah that's why his eyes went purple

#y’all are prob side eying me so hard rn #like ‘why won’t this bitch shut up’ 😭😂#well I have a lot of thoughts racing in my head rn so I want to get them all written down #honestly right now the only time I DON’T feel anxious is when I’m fixing my dolls #and y’all I promise you I’m not a weirdo I do normal things like go out with my friends or read or watch tv etc #actually I don’t read anymore I don’t have the attention span for it #but anyways when I’m fixing up my dolls as in cleaning them brushing their hair giving them hairstyles or choosing new outfits #that’s when I feel the most in control of things and it helps me calm down #and to a degree I hate it bc does that mean I’m not equipped to handle real life!??#that the smallest disruption to my routine has me screaming and crying and having a meltdown whilst everyone stares at me like I’m crazy????#idk how to define ‘crazy’ but sometimes I truly feel it #like I just don’t feel in control of myself #or anything else #and someone told me once tang ‘when things don’t go your way you lash out’#which is true and I hate being that person #someone also told me that I physically run away or close off if it’s something I don’t want to talk about #which is another vent for another day lmao #but ugh idek #i hate feeling like this #but idk how to snap out of it

Okay but fr Iris and Hitomi play such a miniscule role and Date is a joke and Mizuki needed to have a whole chunk of her backstory retconned to even fit so why did we not just have two new protagonists? The misdirect with actually playing as three people could still work if it was just someone entirely new who had a double instead of her and it would have been a plus to not have the expectation of it being a Mizuki game when all the ties to her established character were so thin and surface level and pretty much the main disappointment I've seen with the game and it just feels idk very avoidable by making it an anthology with fewer recurring characters and mostly background references to people involved in past cases, like, this isn't a death game it's a broader setting you very much can do something like that effectively

#there's a lot but it's a very common complaint so I'll add that I want the timeline where Bibi gets to look different under the mask #cause the blue and hairstyle doesn't work with her clothes and it's such a good design I wish I could fully like her so much it's unreal #like in theory this character is freaking tailor made for me to fixate on but it's simultaneously messing with what I liked about Mizuki so #it's just cancelling itself out and I hate it #like it's so weird that we're just supposed to go with this now #with this notion that because they're genetically related they're more siblings than Mizuki and Iris when that's who she grew up around #it makes sense from Bibis perspective sure but that's why I'm saying!!! just have a new character at that point!!!#cause Mizuki was already adopted and we were already invested in the found family angle and the part that undermines that really is just #how ignored everyone else is Date dissapears he has an excuse but at the very least give them a proper reunion then???#and it's not like Bibi doesn't have found family shenanigans too she has Kizuna and Boss and those relationships would be so much sweeter #if she wasn't! Another! Mizuki!!! Hell have their lived experiences and personalities differ more while you're at it too please #ugh I'm frustrated because I want to like her so so so bad #the biggest difference is just that Mizuki doesn't have an illness to deal with??#aini spoilers
